Would not recommend. Service was awful. As we sat waiting for our order to be taken a couple "regulars" came in and had their order taken immediately and got their food in less than 5 minutes. We sat there for 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Our waitress had the personality and customer service skills of a wet mop. No smile, no greeting, acted like we were a hindrance to her day. When we finally got our food my bacon was warm but that's as long as it was cooked, I politely asked if I could have it cooked a little more, she didn't say a single word just took the bacon and stomped off to the kitchen, brought it back burnt literally to a crisp. i don't know what her problem was but wow. read more

Small town cafes can be some of the best places for no frills basic food and friendly service. Skyline Cafe is precisely that. The food is good, typical fare, but served quickly and portions enough for any appetite. I had the frittata -- skyline's version of it and it was a winner. It came out as more of a scrambled egg than an omelet-style, loaded with the onions, peppers, tomatoes -- and not tiny little cubes, but large chopped pieces, and the crunchy bacon and the cheese topped it off. There was a side of homemade salsa. It was just okay -- nothing spectacular and was not needed because the frittata was flavorful enough on its own. With that said, eating more veggies is not a bad thing, so I ate it anyway. (you're welcome, Mom.) Like most small-town diners, there is a healthy take-out business, and this was no exception. Even early in the morning, there was a stream of people. What I enjoy about places like these is listening to the locals who sit near me, eating, drinking gallons of coffee, and talking about what's happening in their life, at the ranch, their business, or trading hunting stories. What's not to love? I'm a simple greasy spoon kinda guy. This is the place for me. Don't let the exterior fool you, they are open. Basic breakfast fare but if you are feeling adventurous, do a breakfast burrito. They are smothers in sausage gravy. A nap is in order after you eat one of them. read more

I've reviewed this establishment before. I had sworn this place off and vowed to myself I'd never return upon pain of death. But I went back. I said I wouldn't but here we are. 2022. Here is my tale: Little did my party and I know that when sat down to partake in bacon, eggs, and coffee, we would actually have a healthy helping of regret and distain (which is the worst combination plate of all time). We were a party of four. When we were seated, we were given only two menus. When we politely asked for even one more, we were denied. This was a mild inconvenience, but we navigated through this first-world problem with relative ease. We ordered some minimal, hard-to-screw-up breakfast food: bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. After placing our order, we were left (for nearly an hour) not with the drinks we ordered, but with the bright and hopeful disposition that today would be the day Skyline would redeem themselves in our eyes. Alas, this is not that story... What was delivered to our table was simply not what we ordered. We thought we were given another party's breakfasts by mistake. So when another in my party made the wait staff aware of the mixup, we were told they were out of some of the items we ordered. When I inquired as to which items were out, my answer came in the form of an eye roll rather than words. We thought it best to perhaps eat what we were given rather than make a big fuss. There was no bacon on our plate but we received sausage instead and rye toast was delivered rather than the sourdough we ordered. As long as our ticket financially reflected these changes, we decided there was no reason to throw another cog in the (already dysfunctional) machine. When I dug into my hash browns, however, I noticed parts were frozen and other parts still were slimy with grease. My sunny-side-up eggs were, well, pale and cloudy in comparison. I was upset but decided not to cry over spilled milk...because they were out of the milk I ordered. In short, did I get what I ordered? No. BUT was the service quick and adequate? Still no. HOWEVER, was the small-town charm and friendliness there to greet us like an old, familiar friend from the moment we walked in the door? Absolutely not. I'm here to reinforce the old adage: "history repeats itself." So, I will draw on history to illiterate my point, bluntly. My party had it worse than the Donner party because they knew what they were eating, their food was supposed to taste like it was frozen, and they got their food in a more timely fashion than we did. read more

Often slow service, food was pretty bland. Over heard the kitchen "joking" about spitting in someone food, often you can hear the cooks yelling, swearing and being rude to the serving staff. The older lady cook is the worst when it comes to the yelling and insults. Only game in town so they dont change. Using ketchup bottles for soap in the bathroom is a little cheap. Cold. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Skyline Cafe provided great delivered food. The fish and chips were hot, and the French fries were cut before cooking, so they were perfect texture and fit in the takeout box without being squished. Plenty of condiments with lemon for the fish along with tartar sauce and ketchup in easy to use containers. Gave us napkins and utensils. The cole slaw came in a large cup. They did not charge extra for delivery, was price you would pay at cafe. Will order again. read more

Well this is a" Coffee and pie place", nothing more. The "buffet" is nasty, unimaginable food, and the menu food is a quicker cooked version of the aforementioned swill.
