I think I must be on an unofficial mission to try them all because that's what I seem to be doing. This one caught my attention when I was driving past on my way to another spot. There it was standing alone in the middle of a parking lot for a nearby business. It was fairly late in the day, and I wasn't sure it was still open. When I drove up, there was another car on the other side so that gave me a few minutes to check the menu. Standard coffee drinks and flavor options, so nothing out of the ordinary there. It didn't stay ordinary, though. I had one of the better coffee drinks I've had in some time. I didn't ask which beans they used because I don't always think to do so, but whatever they used, and however they brewed the coffee, it was really good. The service was excellent, an unexpected feat late in the day when I'm sure the employees are tired and ready to end their day. They still came through on the customer service and the coffee. .

The food is good, typical fare, but served quickly and portions enough for any appetite. I had the frittata -- skyline's version of it and it was a winner. It came out as more of a scrambled egg than an omelet-style, loaded with the onions, peppers, tomatoes -- and not tiny little cubes, but large chopped pieces, and the crunchy bacon and the cheese topped it off. There was a side of homemade salsa. It was just okay -- nothing spectacular and was not needed because the frittata was flavorful enough on its own. With that said, eating more veggies is not a bad thing, so I ate it anyway. (you're welcome, Mom.) Like most small-town diners, there is a healthy take-out business, and this was no exception. Even early in the morning, there was a stream of people. What I enjoy about places like these is listening to the locals who sit near me, eating, drinking gallons of coffee, and talking about what's happening in their life, at the ranch, their business, or trading hunting stories. I would have bought a 6 pack if they had them. The IPAs weren't my favorite. the wheat ipa was the best of them. The flying peanut butter stout in the can is their best overall.
