Cute place that makes you want to sit and stay for a while. The staff is helpful in guiding you through their extensive drink menu. We had the breakfast burritos, so good! The flavor was amazing and the burrito is pressed like a panini so it's crispy- absolutely delicious! The coffee has been my husband's favorite along our road trip. Next time we're up this way we will go out or our way to come here again! read more

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Beta Coffee House. The breakfast burritos were terrific: fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. We also really enjoyed the variety of drinks. The house made chai had a nice blend of spices and my wife enjoyed her cold brew. We especially enjoyed the cozy, old school coffee house vibe, with local arts and crafts, books and games, and a very sweet dog! We will definitely be back whenever we return to Cody! read more

Great ambiance and cute coffee shop. Bonus: Pudgy the dog greets each patron. We got the breakfast burritos and also the drip coffee. The baked goods looked amazing. Overall it was a solid breakfast burrito that they finish on the panini press for a nice toast on the outside. Would have liked a little more spice/any spice in the salsa verde. If you are anti-social and full of anxiety this place is for you. If you are running solo and want to sit in a space to yourself, this is the place for you. My wife and I stopped in and the staff taking my order was in shock that I said good morning to her. This blank stare came over her face and couldn't even perform a basic greeting. Apparently I'm not hipster enough The dog was was the most positive feature of this establishment. When my food was done, which was done in a reasonable amount of time, the cook called my name and I said thank you and he responded with "Your Welcome "! That was fantastic. The food on the other hand was amazing. I got one of the wraps and my wife got an English muffin sandwich. Lots of flavor and really good. I'd order it again in a heat beat. Employees can make or break a business. read more

Delicious burritos, wraps, smoothies and tea, and the staff was super friendly. They even have a wonderful friendly dog (Captain Pudgy) to pet while you wait. Ambiance is nice, food takes a long time (but in all fairness they do have a sign posted stating it's not fast food). My breakfast wrap was tasty but my husband did not care for his breakfast sandwich (the bacon was chewy and not crispy). Neither of us cared for our beverages, I had a latte and he a mocha both tasted like they contained too much milk. read more

Preface: I feel the need to write this review as an "F You" to the annoying Denver and Seattle review from too many years ago for it to bother me so much. YUM. The burrito was SO good and the coffee was exactly what my husband and I had been searching for. A great start to our Yellowstone excursion. The shop is best described at "positive chaos" and full of joy. They support local kids in all of their creative outlets such as art, music, and journalism. Since those two annoying reviews start with the proclamation of where they live (as if that somehow adds credence to their opinion), I want to state that my husband and I ALSO lived in Seattle for many years and this coffee was definitely on par. The vibe, however, was better than any cold Seattle shop I ever went to. I highly recommend checking this place out. We will be back again and again! read more

I can't rate their coffee products since I didn't try any, but their breakfast was very good. I had a ham and green chili quiche and my husband had the breakfast burrito. We ate everything! Definitely a funky coffee house vibe, and the staff is super friendly. read more

Probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. We stopped at Wendy's in Cody for breakfast, but the dining room was closed so we decided to try the Beta Coffee House. What a surprise. The breakfast sandwich was truly outstanding! Also had a berry smoothly, and it was awesome. This is definitely a place we will visit again when we're back in Cody! read more

So I read the review from Seattle and Denver and cringed! I'm also from Seattle, I love coffee blah blah blah, but I loved this shop! Probably one of the only shops in Cody that has soy, almond and almond/coconut milk - a big plus for any non dairy drinkers! Several food options including wraps and sandwiches and bagels. I didn't see anything gluten free l other than granola bars. Service was super friendly, and made me feel comfortable. This shop is warm, covered in funky art and mismatched furniture. Beta is a smaller coffee shop compared to Rawhide and sits about half a block in off the main strip. They've got good coffee, good service, and decent snacks. I don't think I'd come here for a meal, but if you're looking for a breakfast burrito they have those. All said, they have a small assortment of baked goods, burritos, and wraps. Wifi is available as well. I'd come back. read more

Anyone looking for an excellent regular or flavored coffee or good espresso, def come here. Lived overseas and its as close to Italy as u can get, not that American crap from Seattle. This place is way too hip to be in Cody. The staff is friendly on a Monday morning and keeps the deamons away. The atmosphere is relaxing, artistic, and eclectic. I think the guitars are for anyone with some skill to practice and entertain other patrons so don't be afraid to pluck away. There are also adult coloring books, reading material, and other various activities to relax. One could spend hours in this shop expressing themselves artistically and enjoying delicious covfefe. read more

Driving home to CO from Livingston, MT, stopped here for a late breakfast, early lunch. Stopped first at two local diners and knew that, even in a non-Covid era, they were just not going to work. The Beta Coffee team was great, order was easy, coffee was good, sandwiches were amazing and easy to eat hand held (burrito and bagel sandwich). The team is not allowing dine in as of 9/20, which makes sense, it's a small place. So we drove three blocks south to the Rec center and found some benches overlooking the city on the north side of the parking lot. Great view, good food. Just a nice break on a long ride. Our road trip from California to Chicago had us spending the night in Cody. After a few days of restaurant and fast food (and mediocre coffee), we were craving a slow-cooked but quick breakfast and good coffee. We got that and more at Beta. Delicious breakfast sandwiches and creative coffee (I had an iced latte with honey hazelnut) were exactly what we needed. And the bacon was the perfect crispness. COVID has us taking it to go, but inside was a fun, laid back indie vibe that would make me a regular if I lived here. Thank you, Beta. Oh wow! We were driving back from Yellowstone and on our way to Badlands National Park, when we needed to stop. There were two coffee shops with about equal reviews, and man we made the right call! Wonderful coffee shop! It's a nice and quiet place to grab a cup of coffee or tea with a friend to chat, or catch up on work/homework! Baristas are very friendly and quick with your order, they have tons of syrup options and great coffee! After looking at several options, we decided on Rancho Chico, and we're glad we did. Parking a 29-foot RV was a bit of a challenge, but once we got settled and walked inside, we were immediately greeted by Jose Luis. Despite the restaurant being busy, he made sure our group of seven was accommodated with a large table. His hospitality set the tone for a very enjoyable evening. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. The music was at just the right volume--present enough to add to the ambiance without making conversation difficult. My mother especially appreciated the interior design and decor. Shortly after being seated, we were served two baskets of lightly salted corn chips along with bean dip and a mild salsa. We requested something with a little more heat, and the staff promptly brought out a flavorful tomatillo salsa that hit the spot. As we reviewed the menu, Jose Luis proved to be extremely knowledgeable, answering every question and offering helpful recommendations. Everyone in our group ordered a different entrée along with drinks. A quick note for future visitors: the horchata is delicious, but it does not come with free refills. The restaurant also offers a full bar, although none of us ordered alcoholic beverages during this visit. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, which can sometimes raise concerns about quality, but in this case, both the presentation and flavor exceeded expectations. Every member of our party enjoyed their meal. The highlight of the evening came when my mother commented, "There's not many places that can make a good red chili sauce, and this one is good." Coming from someone with more than 70 years of experience cooking Mexican food, that's high praise. Overall, our experience at Rancho Chico was excellent. The staff was friendly, the food was flavorful, the atmosphere was inviting, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The restrooms were clean, though the only downside was that there is just one restroom per gender, which could be inconvenient during busy times. On the Luis Scale, this one earns a solid 7. If you're passing through Cody and looking for a welcoming place to enjoy Mexican cuisine, Rancho Chico is definitely worth a visit. On to the next stop--and don't forget to tip your servers!
