Cody omelet was huge so took half home

Best breakfast spot in town! We ate here multiple times and never tried a single thing that wasnt amazing. I tried the classic Benedict which was great! Also the country Benedict which was a phenomenal choice & something id never thought of trying but now cook at home. Hubby loved his cody omelet and all the pancakes he tried. Best option of breakfast in town!

Service was slow. Pancakes are like chewing a frizbee. Potatoes are meh. Eggs are good. The syrup was tasty. The ambiance is casual. They were not very busy but it was slow to get our food. Only open 0700/1400 for breakfast and lunch.

One thing we learned about Cody, WY, is that it is short staffed. The first breakfast place we went to was actually closed due to staffing issues. At Rooster's Cafe, the service was very slow because of similar issues, and yes, we had to patiently wait, but the waitress was nice and trying. One suggestion is to have someone shadow new employees. The food was good, and we enjoyed sitting outside and eating breakfast on the covered patio. I the following sides: two biscuits, bacon, and scrambled eggs.

I don't know why this restaurant looks like it has three stars, but it has the best breakfast in Cody, Wyoming!! it's a new restaurant so maybe it has growing pains, but the food is amazing and today we had a short wait, even though it was very busy and our food came out quickly fresh and hot! I had the corned beef hash which was homemade high-quality. The gravy is delicious and the home potatoes are fantastic.!! if your vacation Cody Wyoming go to roosters!!!

****AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP****…read more Looking for a breakfast spot and reviews looked promising so I stopped by. With a name like "OUR PLACE" I was hoping for a warm and friendly place with a good home cooked meal. Big mistake, not here!!!! Walked inside and was ignored for a few minutes. Should have just left. Restaurant has 1 server, 1 "helper," and one person cleaning tables. The "helper" was standing behind a host table and wouldn't even look at me or acknowledge me. She was playing with a tall leaning stack or toast. The server finally came by, asked me to wait a minute, and then seated me. I ordered and 30 minutes later the food came. I ordered the bunkhouse which was just biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon. Biscuits were terrible (didn't look or taste like a biscuit) and was BURNT AT THE EDGES! Bacon was in a greasy ball and underneath it was a long strand of hair (not mine). I also ordered a special advertised on their chalkboard - a cinnamon roll. This was nothing special and unfortunately was the best thing I ordered. Avoid this place!

The building is a small log cabin like facility and easy to drive by if you aren't alert. The breakfast menu is very much like grandma's home cooking and we enjoyed everything. They advertise the best 25 cent coffee and they are not wrong. It was strong and delicious. Our group ordered Biscuits & gravy, a cinnamon roll, pancakes, sausage and the best extra crispy hash browns I've had, that I didn't make. Service from Janet was super friendly and attentive. If you're in Cody, Wy and looking for a wonderful breakfast, this is the place to stop!

Small town cafes can be some of the best places for no frills basic food and friendly service…read more Skyline Cafe is precisely that. The food is good, typical fare, but served quickly and portions enough for any appetite. I had the frittata -- skyline's version of it and it was a winner. It came out as more of a scrambled egg than an omelet-style, loaded with the onions, peppers, tomatoes -- and not tiny little cubes, but large chopped pieces, and the crunchy bacon and the cheese topped it off. There was a side of homemade salsa. It was just okay -- nothing spectacular and was not needed because the frittata was flavorful enough on its own. With that said, eating more veggies is not a bad thing, so I ate it anyway. (you're welcome, Mom.) Like most small-town diners, there is a healthy take-out business, and this was no exception. Even early in the morning, there was a stream of people. What I enjoy about places like these is listening to the locals who sit near me, eating, drinking gallons of coffee, and talking about what's happening in their life, at the ranch, their business, or trading hunting stories. What a life. What a great no-frills cafe.

Maybe I'm just used to a meatloaf with more ingredients such as onions, bell peppers and some filler ( most of the time it is oatmeal). The sandwich did have pepper jack cheese and steakhouse aioli that should have lent a little flavor to the sandwich but unfortunately did not. The onion rings could have saved the day for the meal but the onions were sliced too thin and were swallowed up by batter. My wife had the Honey Bear sandwich which she said was pretty good but if she ordered it a gain she would ask for the honey mustard to be replaced with a spicy mustard (maybe call it the Grizzly Bear). The fries were very good, We'll try to get back there before we leave Cody to try another meal. Service was very good and prompt. This is a good alternative if you tire of steak and potatoes
