Great food, but with the remodel you'd think they'd mark the stairs into the seating area with bright orange or yellow stripes but no. I fell, and I fell hard onto my knees. Make it safe!! read more

This place was a gem! Felt like walking into the living history of the Wild West. Log cabin structure with incredible charm. Stopped for lunch on a quiet day and were greeted warmly. We ordered hamburgers and thick steak fries. Burgers were absolutely delicious with a charbroiled flavor and perfectly soft, lightly toasted buns. The fries were incomparable! Our server was a doll. Thai place gets my highest recommendation!!! read more

Our waitress was great, very quick and informative when we asked questions. The food was amazing okay! Salmon, wings and risotto were all really good. The steak was cooked well, but had smoky flavor that my husband didn't care for. The worst food was the Mac n cheese, it had no flavor it tasted like just buttered noodles. They had live music playing and it was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other talk, the speakers needed to be turned down and it made it really unpleasant. read more

I thought my steak was great. I enjoyed my meal and the service was very good. I'm used to Californian prices so I was pleasantly surprised when I got my bill. I would happily come here again and I recommend this steak house. read more

It was around 9pm and my wife kids and I were hungry coming back to Cody from Yellowstone. We came in and the hostess was very friendly letting us know we would have a short wait. We were seated after a few minutes and when we got our menus I knew my order instantly they had a chicken fried steak, my favorite. It came out crispy and tender covered in a cream gravy will definitely have it again. Mashed potatoes were good and the side of broccoli was well seasoned. The kids had a cheese burger and the kids sirloin which they cooked to a nice medium rare. Both had their plates clean in less than five minutes. All in all a great experience read more

Food was just okay. Our server was great but there was a blonde server with shorter curly hair who kept talking to another server, loud enough for our half of the restaurant to hear their entire conversation. Extremely unprofessional. Rustic decor. Very limited menu. I had the steak salad, which was cooked to a perfect rare, but for a sirloin, it was very tough. My husband ordered the sirloin also, but medium. His came out a perfect rare. Since since it took over 45 mins to receive our food and the fact that there were only 10 tables of 2, he did not send the steak back. I did see several other steaks sent back and one gentleman was very boisterous about how long it was taking and that his baked potato had now gotten stone cold. We will not be returning. read more

Absolutely the best historic steakhouse in the West! Have been to Cassie's numerous times and have always had great food, drinks, service and entertainment. The atmosphere is second to none, a true western experience, with an interesting history and decor to match! When traveling out west, this is a must stop! read more

They serve $50 steaks and only have box wine to accompany them. If they want to have the reputation of a high-end steak house maybe they should offer a few bottles of nice wine. Not impressed, I was hoping things had changed since they just re-opened. Too bad!! read more

We had dinner the last night and it was amazing! We had a 6:30 reservation for three, and it really did exceed our expectations. The drinks were delicious, my filet was perfectly cooked and the pork chops were spot on. So happy to see this place open again-definitely worth a visit! read more

On April 29th we visited Cassie's for the first time since it reopened. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit as our steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were great. The friend who was with us also enjoyed her pork chop that had a brown sugar glaze. To make the visit even more enjoyable we had a waitress whose "stage" name was Annie Oakley. She was sweet, funny and very professional. We would highly recommend Cassie's to everyone if you are the area. read more

Amazing steaks and great service in an old whorehouse. Loved it. The food and service were top notch.

Old west atmosphere and supper club menu. Best to get a reservation. Currently do not have any tap beer but a fair amount of local canned brews. Steak was cooked to perfection cinnamon butter on fresh rolls. Story is that the location was a brothel years ago. read more

We went with friends to celebrate their anniversary. It was the first week that the restaurant had opened. The wait staff was fabulous. Our food was out of this world. We all had ribeye steaks. You could almost cut with a knife! The dinner salad was excellent as well as all of the extras with our meal. read more

Stayed in Cody for two weeks and stumbled upon Cassie's on our very last night. I WISH we had found it sooner, as Cassie's was by far the best restaurant we went to during our whole trip. After chatting to our server, we learned that the new owners bought the restaurant summer of 2022 and have been working diligently to restore it with tons of iconic Wyoming-style decor. They apparently even have plans to be featured in a hit food network series! We came here on a Friday night to hear live music and enjoy and awesome meal. The grilled cajun chicken sandwich was delicious and the burger was great as well. Pro tip: ask for the burger blackened! That's how the owner always orders his and it's insanely good! Overall, Cassie's is the spot to hang out in Cody, WY. Perfect for listening to live music, playing pool, having a cold beer, or eating great food! read more

This was a fun place to eat. We had live music and the bar was great. The waitress we had was fantastic. This was a busy place, and she was running her butt off trying to keep up with all of the tables. We had a party of 8, due to the busyness we waited a while (about 45 minutes) before our food came out from the time we ordered. Overall not a bad experience, just from the time we were seated to the time we asked for our checks and were done. It was about 1.5 hours total we were there. It was a Friday night, and we had 8 people in our party plus there were several other tables with large parties. So.... That's the only reason for not getting 5 stars. The food was good and cooked perfectly. If you're looking for a place in Cody. This should be considered an option for sure. read more

Longest running hen party in Cody. The hostess and staff stood behind me the entire time we were there. Their chatting was pretty distracting. We were told to come in early because there was a 15-top coming in at 5:00 pm and the kitchen would be overloaded. "They only have so many burners" Food was only so-so. We went for a nice steak dinner but after seeing wait staff just hanging around we decided to reduce our expectations to a couple of burgers. The sweet potato fries were overloaded with sugar. Really glad we didn't order the $60 steak! Asked for a glass of wine and they were out. Will not be back. read more

This is the place for you if you're interested in a bar whose owner had a quite interesting past. My friend and I weren't crazy about the atmosphere. For one thing, the outside could use some sprucing up and it's quite dark inside. Lots of cool memorabilia in the building though. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. read more

Like others, we love a good steak! This place was recommended by our river rafting crew. Our family party of 8 adults and one child arrived at 4 pm yesterday. The restaurant appeared totally empty except for arriving staff. Daniel was our server and was friendly and attentive. The 20 oz ribeye medium-rare was delicious!! We shared it! It comes with the loaded baked potato and green beans. I ordered a side salad with ranch and Bleu cheese on the side. It consisted of fresh greens--not iceberg lettuce. Fresh and delicious. Dressings were as ordered. The decor- theme of the restaurant, dance floor and bar is beautiful Western cowboy, mountain-cabin wood and log with walls covered by paintings and eclectic art. Reason for 3 stars was the lack of welcome by the hostess and the instructions to "order fast before other large groups arrive." My Response to Courtney,--the business owner: Your negative response to 3/5 stars rating necessitates my response. BUSINESS OWNER: YOU ARE INCORRECT!! "The rafting company DID NOT state MAKE A RESERVATION FIRST!! Furthermore, this family is not the first to give your establishment "a negative review" as evidenced by another Yelper in the past two weeks. How about you WELCOME tourists instead of deflecting them by your negative responses! I wish you a wonderful happy day, because apparently you most assuredly need a dose of Wyoming sunshine! I have enjoyed everywhere else we have visited and toured here in Cody and the rest of Wyoming! read more

A friend suggested we stop here for their prime rib. I ordered the biggest one they had (42-46 ounces and sans fat trimmings); got the horseradish too. Both very excellent! Of course, I couldn't finish it and brought 2/3s of it back home with me. It was just as tasty reheated the next day. I'm glad I asked for extra au jus for the leftovers. The au jus deserves some praise too; not too salty, yet packed with flavor. The place itself is more of a dive bar than restaurant (live music being offered too). Draft beer was cold. Staff very personable and attentive. Would definitely go back for the prime rib and the kitschy ambience... read more

Cassie's Steakhouse We had dinner at Cassie's 9/2/23, a Cody local suggested it so we made a reservation for 4:30 we had a very nice view of the kitchen from our table. My dinner mates were looking forward to having a great Wyoming Steak. No so much. The bar has a good selection of local beers. There were four of us. I was planning on ordering the Tumbleweed Onion as I don't eat meat but they were out. My husband and friend ordered the $59 Porterhouse and another friend the $42 filet. My husband says his $59 porterhouse was good but he'd had better, the other $59 porterhouse on the table was tough and gristly he could barely cut through it. The $42 filet was an end cut, she ordered medium, but it was on the verge of rare. If you order "the works" on your baked potato they will add bacon, cheddar cheese & chives for $3 extra. My baked potato was not fully cooked oddly it was edible in the middle but hard on one end, was it fresh or reheated from last night? We'll never know. They charge extra for sour cream. My $9 house salad was your basic field greens with a couple of slices of cucumber and a grape tomato. None of the up charges were disclosed on the menu or by the server. We didn't try the dessert as we didn't want to waste anymore money. There was no soap in the ladies room makes me wonder how the servers are keeping their hands clean, the men's room had soap but no paper towels. read more

I really like this place! Environment as you'd expect - all wood and western signs on the walls, old dumpy bar kind of thing. Which I enjoyed. Definitely a beer and whisky place. But since I was having steak - and I really like wine with steak - I got the best bottle of wine in the house (the only good one they had) and it cost basically retail price. So a good deal for me! Most importantly - my steak was excellent! Good quality beef, flavorful, cut nice and thick. Not charred quite as heavily as I prefer, but not the cheap steakhouse grill marks either. Solid. Prices fair - expensive for a Western dive bar, somewhat less than a fancy steakhouse. Sides were also good - I got fingerling potatoes and veggies. My wife got a steak salad and it looked really good, so did the kids bison burger. Too few servers for sure, which made service slow. But oh well. I usually go to the Irma when I am in Cody because I love the history of the location and the cherry bar ... but the steak here is so much better, I may relegate the Irma to drinks. I will return! I think this is really a four-star place ... it's just a hair too expensive and dumpy at the same time ... but I liked my steak enough that I will go five stars! read more

Stopped here because we were excited about the vibe, but weren't all that impressed, maybe we got there too early. Our food was pretty good, but our friends needed to send a steak back because it was way too rare. Although, they were VERY busy, they got it fixed with a whole new steak and sent it home with them which was nice. read more

Amazing place. We heard from our tour guide this was a wonderful place to eat in town. Arrived early and were seated right away, had a wonderful waiter. The ribeyes were cooked excellently, the blue cheese butter was one of the best I've ever eaten, and I have extremely high standards. I requested the Parmesan risotto on the side instead of a potato type side. And I am so glad I did, this was one amazing risotto. Very fairly priced, I would highly recommend. read more

Food is consistently good here. Its as tasty as their Cutthroat Restaurant downtown. Service has always been quite good, though some folks fuss about any little thing that doesn't make them perfectly happy! Ambiance is why we come here. The history of this place is worth the trip. Lastly, the owners are hard-working folks. They are younger and just trying to provide for their family. They will always have our business. read more

We recently had friends visiting from Oklahoma and wanted to enjoy a great dinner. Cassie was recently purchased and restored. When we arrived we were greeted quickly and our table was ready for us (we had made reservations) Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our meals were excellent! We all had something different. A Cesar salad, a hamburger steak with brown gravy, steak & I had shrimp scampi. We all enjoyed our meals. My only suggestion was during dinner hours softer music would be nice. It was difficult to hear anyone talking. Other than that I think the restaurant was excellent. Great staff, good food! read more

Ordered burgers, server's suggestions that only medium rare to medium would be best. Spouse only eats medium well, so he chose medium. I wonder if medium well was an option. Dakota was knowledgeable and pleasant. Had to ask again for water. Burgers were flavorful and tasty. I like medium rare. Subbed a side salad for fries. Did not seem to be a vegetable option. Spouse had fries, overcooked. This seems to be a cowboy steakhouse and saloon. Limited menu, two dozen beers on tap, more beer and wine available. Came on open mic night. We don't care for live music with dinner so I will not judge the entertainment. Potatoes, house chips or sweet potato fries are not vegetables. read more

Really nice family joint. I like the old timey decor and homey feel of it. It's sort of wild west like. The service was really good. The ladies got us seated quickly, but we did also have a reservation. We ordered the "rocky mountain oysters" - Apparently they are quite popular and I thought they were pretty tasty. They don't have any really fancy drinks but well drinks seem to be fine. I got the chicken Cesar salad which I liked. My husband had the Walleye and he liked it. My father in law and mother in law each got some kind of steak that they also enjoyed. We got carrot cake too. They had a band there that night that was actually pretty good. They were a cover band. Kind of a cute little joint to hit up while you're in town. read more

Wow ! The 20-oz Ribeye steak, we shared, was very good. Came with fingerling potatoes and green beans. For dessert we had sweet potato fries with cream cheese frosting; find it under appetizers.
