The mimosa flights were gross...between the 2 of us we could only finish 1/4 mimosas, the classic oj with champagne. Next the server made a mistake so I sent the plate back. But when the second plate came out, it was half the size of the first plate, like I suffered a punishment bc the server made a mistake. The server apologized for the mistake and we tipped 20% but we will probably not go back, which is a shame bc the ambiance was nice and the food that was served, was delicious, even if it was half a plate. read more

Joining the waitlist was very convenient especially since this place is very busy. Service was good, the young many who waited on us had great customer service; wish I could remember his name. Food was not good at all, very bland. I ordered Chilaquiles - Fried corn tortillas simmered in salsa verde / house smoked pork / queso / 2 eggs to order / chipotle crema / salsa rojo Side of Turkey bacon *It was basically chips, the slapped on some carnitas, overcooked eggs, shredded "Mexican" cheese (NOT queso), and no red or green sauce. For those who know how chilaquiles should be made, the red or green sauce really makes a difference with the flavors. I had to ask for salsa and it was the nasty chunky, store bought salsa. The carnitas also need more flavor, Maybe taking this plate off the menu until it's improved would be a great idea since people who like chilaquiles expect them made a certain authentic way. Turkey bacon was warm and rubbery My son got the Open Faced Carnitas Omelette - Fluffy omelette served open faced / house smoked carnitas / cotija cheese / seasoned potatoes / pico / salsa verde / avocado / drizzled with chipotle crema **Again the carnitas were bland and the potatoes didn't have salt. Maybe adding chipotle crema and seasoning the potatoes would give the who plate more flavor? The white toast was delicious with the strawberry jelly I really had better hopes that this place would have lived up to the hype especially since I drive 45 minutes out of my way to try it but that's they risk I take when traveling to try new places. read more

I came here for breakfast at around 8:45 on a Saturday morning, we were a party of three and were seated immediately. I requested to sit on the patio since it's getting nicer out and inside seemed quite loud. The patio seating is a little tight, I believe they have about 6 tables. Like another review mentioned, the flies are pretty bad. I understand it's outdoor dining, but maybe some bug zappers or something of the sort would help the situation. This was the reason I deducted a star, I just don't enjoy swatting at my face every 5 minutes while eating. I loved the selection of menu items, a lot of great drink items as well. Personally I do not eat eggs so I love that lunch is an option anytime. I chose the club sandwich and it hit the spot. I had a Bellini to wash it down. Our server was Caden and he was great. This is a small restaurant with a big menu. Things I look for in breakfast places is a diverse menu. It's easy to serve eggs, bacon and omelettes, but BS has managed to pull food from different parts of the American pallet. Since I couldn't try everything I went for basic skill. Biscuit and gravy was good. Biscuits were fat, fluffy with just the right amount of crisp edges. The gravy was perfect with pepper and sausage. I have mixed feelings about this place. The pancake stack was very good as was the coffee; however the hashbrowns weren't great (not crispy). The mimosa was the worst I've had. Not sure if it was cheap champagne or bottled juice. At a place like this, I'd expect freshly squeezed orange juice for the mimosas. I feel this is a good example of you are only as good as your worst front worker. This place would get 5 stars if it was not for my experience with the hostess this Sunday 2/23 @ 7th street location. She was frankly rude. I used the wait list 40 minutes before arriving; checked in upon arrival and was told at least another 30 minutes. My friends and I walked to the Mercantile, a shop in the same complex but across the parking lot, for another 30 minute wait. I left the Mercantile upon receiving the text, arrived at the 5 minute mark exactly as I had to wait in line to check back in. This hostess told me the table was already given away to the next table. She was annoyed when I informed her it was literally 5 minutes as I was waiting in line. She condescendingly told us that she would still she seat us despite being removed from the list. This is the second time I have been to the restaurant. There are soooo many good restaurants in Phoenix, let alone just down the street. If I come back and experience this kind of customer service again, I would not return. read more
