I ordered the Monte Cristo and it a) wasn't as described on the menu and b) left much to be desired, as there was hardly any powdered sugar dusted on top. The menu didn't mention any American or cheddar cheese, only Swiss. But mine had both white and yellow cheese on it. Gross flavor and not what my tastebuds were expecting. Could not get a table on the weekend because it has been so busy (hour long wait all weekend). But we came over on a Tuesday late morning and sat at the bar. Our server, Riley, was attentive and super helpful with recommendations. I ordered the Crazy Clucker which was the most tender and delicious chicken thigh served with chicken fried bacon (YES! Chicken....fried,,,,bacon) with country gravy on a buttery fresh baked biscuit drizzled with honey. It was awesome. The wife chose the smoked brisket bennie with sliced avocado and a poached egg with hollandaise on a garlic butter brioche bun. Both came with crispy hash browns and both dishes were excellent. Chef Keith came out to say hello and check on us. We told him it was great and that we were interested in the birria tacos. He immediately gave us a taste of the meat in consume and it was great. Came here on a Sunday for brunch. Would suggest going online and getting on the waitlist as it can be very busy which is what we did. Cutesy little place with friendly staff. Service was excellent for how busy it was We had the surf and turf eggs benedict. Ordered the steak med rare but was pretty much well done. It was a tiny little thing so I'd imagine it would be hard to get it right (not going to hold that against them), as the dish itself was pretty good. You must try this place! Our first time here. They have an extensive spirit menu. I ordered a princess snob it is delicious. It comes with cotton candy but was floored when it came with a Tiara. Come on. A Tiara. A supper fun place. I ordered the crazy clucker. It's a biscuit and gravy on steroids. A must try. Huge. The service was so quick considering how busy they are at 130pm. My wife and I visited the brunch a couple days ago and it was so good that we had to visit the next day. So this review will include two visits. our first visit was fantastic. My wife ordered the trashcan nachos, which were delicious. I ordered the softshell crab eggs, Benedict, which were absolutely stunning. The second day I ordered the Chilaquiles and my wife ordered the chicken sandwich. Both were delicious as well. Hats off to the friendly staff, which provided excellent customer service. Man listen, this spot has been "Goat'd" meaning it's the best brunch spot of all time in PHX. My fiance stopped here on vacation. What we ordered is pictured. I have to say that the birria taco's my fiance ordered were some of the best I've had. In fact I had all but given up on birria tacos but this spot had some of the most well seasoned birria I've ever had. My dish? Three pancakes with two sausage Pattie's and two over easy eggs stuffed in between with a side of potato's. Top tier! I also got the Mimosa flight which was great. My fiance got some kind of cocktail that had cotton candy on top. Her drink also came with a princess crown which I thought was cool. What a fun spot! A little hard to find in the strip mall, they don't have a real sign, just a banner. They have a really nice patio that is shaded and covered. We went for lunch today at noon. We frequent here often and it is by far one of our favorite haunts in the Ahwatukee area. The food is creative, thoughtful, fresh and always well-prepared. Servers are friendly and efficient, and the owner Celene is a bright presence. She knows her regulars and has crafted a deeply-personal restaurant with wide appeal. Our favorites include the avocado toast (I recommend a soft-poached egg on top), the smothered hashbrowns the pancakes, the Hillsbury scramble, the spicy clucker, the cinnamon roll, and any of their lovely benedicts. I especially love their house potatoes, which are tossed in their homemade hot sauce. For lunch, we love their fish and chips (so crispy!), the adult grilled cheese and their lovely chicken wings. This a special place. We've celebrated birthdays and a graduation here, and we've also come here on Tuesday mornings. The food is wonderful and the people are great. The owner of this place (and many other restaurants across Phoenix) is such a gem and the sweetest to talk to! We were a group of 5. First thing that sucked. They put us right by the food. And put us at a four table right by the entrance. So the person at the end had to keep moving and have people try to squeeze by. I felt bad he didn't get to enjoy anything because he was constantly being asked if people could get by. Drinks were amazing. The Bloody Mary was so good I wanted another one. And I wish I would've. If I was drunk the food probably wouldn't have been as bad. My sister got steak and eggs. She asked for medium and her eggs hard. Her steak was still mooing. I understand that's what some people like. But not what she wanted. Her eggs were over easy. They took both back. But unfortunately her steak came out over cooked and gummy. Her eggs came back still not hard. She tossed it as a loss. My husband said his was okay. But not the best. He got the sausage stack. I got the chicken fried steak. And the best part of my meal was the over easy eggs and sourdough bread. The breading wasn't even touching my steak. I'd go to cut and all the creasing would crumble off. Unfortunately I wasn't satisfied either. Everyone's potatoes that they got were Luke warm. And still raw. I honestly would recommend you go to dennys or ihop before ever coming here. I was really sad because I saw very good things about them. New local brunch spot yay! We weren't planning on having brunch out while walking by on our way from the bank in the parking lot, but the "We're open" sign was up so couldn't resist! I've seen the gorgeous mural upon entry months past and couldn't wait to try this place, despite 2022 healthy eating goals when so much of the menu is Comfort brunch with a twist! But it is all in the choices right? It was 140pm. Poppin! We were greeted right away, sat and waited a bit which was a sign of the understaffed times which are beyond poor Celeste's (the owner) control as she did everything right and still 3 people didn't show up for work on a brunch prime time Sunday. We know this because despite being up since 3am she was still gracious enough to pop by our table and check in to give us the hostess with the mostest scoop. Love the eclectic cool artsy vibe and decor with the back of the high chairs having fun descriptions like "sexy, hunk, etc". The tiger with rose colored glasses on the wall and the general cozy feeling. Hubby loved the 4 large screen TVs so he didn't have to miss the Bengals NFL playoff football that was visible from every seat in the room(good looking out for the wives Brunch Snob- because a happy sports fan means a happy experience without rushing- and happy wife happy life includes a happy hubby). The menu came and it was a huge variety of mild, spicy, breakfast, lunch, cool fun names like spicy mother clucker, because don't we all need a little joy in our lives? Loved the variety of cocktails. Will have to come back for one. We had the spicy clucker, an iced coffee and I had the Open faced carnitas omelette with avocados, held the potatoes to make it lower carb. Everything was delicious! We'll be back and hope the staff is more consistent in coming to work. The server we had was hustling so while we waited a bit for refills and wished for a water decanter to self refill we will write that off as new business growing pains and come again.
