Absolutely livid walking out of Brunch Snob right now. My husband, myself, and my 4yo and 6yo kid walked in and put our names on the wait list with a 20 min quote. Keeping an eye on our place in the wait, we finally saw a table open up. The family that checked in right before us had been seated and I knew we were next. The hostess grabbed the menus, walked right past us and sat the family that came in after us. When I asked him why we weren't seated, he said that the family he just sat was ahead of us. Forty minutes of observing our place in line... please do not lie to us. I have kids crying because they are hungry, an AC in the restaurant that just wasn't keeping up with this heat... we left because although we may have been next on the list, this experience left a terrible taste in my mouth. Do better. Be prepared for the weekend brunch rush.

The food was great and so was the service.the vibe was great too. (Depends on Your company mines was great)

The Monte Cristo with hash browns
    Mike M.

By far the best Monte Cristo I've ever had. I used to think Chompie's was the best, but this one is so much tastier than the one Chompie's makes. The extra fried batter on the outside is a little overdone, but you can crunch it off onto your plate. At the same time, they have the worst hash browns I've ever had. Not soft, not crunchy. They're almost uncooked like the compost pile of potato peeling. BUT, there are other potato options that looked better. Lots of other great looking dishes to try here. Just skip the hash browns.

The food was delicious as always. The portion size is so huge. You definitely can share but because there are so many choices it's hard to order just one meal. The cinnamon rolls are huge but very very sweet. The coffee is just regular diner coffee nothing to write home about. But their mimosa flight was delicious. The service was good but not friendly. She was efficient and patient but just didn't give friendly vibes. The place is super cute and was very clean. The bathrooms were clean which is very important to me.

Love, love, LOVE this place! The egg white delight wrap was delicious and the fruit was super fresh. Ransom, the host, Absolute legend. Made us feel instantly welcome. Our waitress was just as great--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The vibe is cozy and lively (a little loud, but in a fun, bustling way). Clearly a popular spot--and for good reason. If I wasn't just passing through I would definitely come back.

First off the atmosphere of this place is so cute! I love all the deco. The menu had so many great choices. I chose the spicy chicken and waffles. It was very tastey although it could of had a little more spice. The service was also great. Our server was very nice. We sat right away and got our food fast as well. Definitely recommend and will be back

I overall enjoyed my experience at Brunch Snob (Uptown location). It was a bit loud inside, so my friend and I chose to sit outside, which ended up being much more enjoyable and comfortable for conversation. One thing that was a bit of a bummer was the waitlist process. I joined the waitlist on Yelp and wasn't aware that I still needed to check in once I arrived. On top of that, the Yelp queue and the restaurant's actual queue seemed inconsistent, and the "busy time" listed on Yelp wasn't accurate. The wait ended up being longer than expected. That part was a little frustrating. That said, once we were seated, things moved quickly. Food and drinks came out fast, and the service was solid . Our server was attentive and checked in on us regularly. I really enjoyed their coffee, and the portion sizes are decent. I also think the food is fairly priced for what you get. I ordered the Hillsbery Scramble and subbed sausage for bacon, and it was so good. Definitely comforting, hearty brunch food done right. I would return to this location.

From the hostess to the waitress brunch snob was such a pleasant experience. One downside to Phoenix/Scottsdale food scene is the hyper fixation on aesthetics & not really on food quality. Well this wasn't the case for brunch snob. Great food, great drinks & very professional staff.

Came in, music was loud but not too bad. The room had a lot of chatter and convos. Sounded like people enjoying their time. We were immediately greeted by a gentleman names Ransom. Big smile and good energy. They asked us if we wanted inside, outside, or first available... We picked first available. We got sat outside, order drinks, then our food... After about 30-45 minutes... We started burning up and decided to ask if we moved in. They didn't make it seem like it was a hassle, they were very accommodating and helpful. Special shout out to Ransom and Reec. Ps- sorry I forgot to take a picture at the beginning of the meal... We were hungry.

    MotherClucker

One of my favorite breakfast dishes is the Mother Clucker from Brunch Snob. It's such a savory dish and I love how the gravy and waffle taste together. The chicken thigh is always so crispy and flavorful. I never get tired of ordering this meal when I visit brunch snob. The decor is cute and each time I have went , the customer service has been superb!

I found brunch snob because I needed a spot that allowed dogs. I love the name of Brunch Snob and as soon as I saw the menu and all of the selections I was sold! There was short wait when we arrived despite seeing many tables but the guy inside said he would be right out and when he finally came out he said he hadn't forgotten about us. The patio is right in front and basically the restaurant is in a strip mall so if you are looking out you are seeing the parking lot, luckily the music was really good so that made me happy. My dog was really hot when we arrived and after we finally sat down and were waited on, I asked if she had a bowl of water for the dog, and she said yes, but what would you like? Ok, I want a Bellini -- after at least 5 or more minutes (it felt really long while my dog was panting up a storm) she finally brought a bowl out for him with water -- and put it on the table... ok she didn't want to bend over, that's fine... While we were waiting to order we saw them come out with a cinnamon roll the size of someone's head. We had to get that for sure -- originally my mom was going to get the "big ass" cinnamon roll French toast but we decided to split the actual cinnamon roll and she would get avocado toast. I got the "build your own omelet" with pepper jack, avocado and salsa with hash browns and sourdough toast. Mine was good -- no complaints, nothing amazing but good. My mom's "toast" however was not as advertised "Thick-cut 12 grain TOAST" -- first of all it was a piece of bread, maybe sourdough -- untoasted -- it was not 12 grain and therefore could it be considered avocado toast? We waited to report it to the waitress and finally after my mom had basically eaten the avocado because she was so hungry and they weren't anywhere to be seen --finally when we got her attention and showed her the soggy slice of bread she apologized but my mom was already done -- there was no offer to remove it from the bill. It is really too bad because this place is super cute, and I really wanted to like it, and it was actually quite expensive, IMO.

I'm always a sucker for a good brunch spot. We came here after a day of hiking. The service was great. We got seated right away. The ambience was casual and chill. There were quite a bit of things to choose on the menu and it does not look like it disappointed. Overall, I will be back.

    Moop And Foop S.

Delicious breakfast options with a variety of unique starters and appetizers. The coffee selection was good as well, especially for a sit down breakfast spot. Creative and cute names for all the dishes with large portions that don't leave your stomach feeling bad. We were told it's usually a long wait and that stood true on our visit, worth it though!

The second one tasted "clean" or like it was supposed to taste. The Burger & Fish Tacos were full of flavor & freshness! I loved their fries b/c crispy on outside & soft on the outside. Missing their Guac & Chips Starter that was on former menu tho. We gotta commend the F&B Manager here! He overheard us talking to the waiter about the differences in the Charred Beet Salads & told us why: one was on the grill too long & he only knew that b/c he was in the kitchen watching them make it. He appreciated us sharing about the nuanced difference in how salads tasted & comped one. Wow - this is really going above & beyond: caring enough to have a convo w/ diners, acknowledging their palates detecting the difference AND making it right, b/c as he said "both should taste the same, like the second one." A commitment to excellence and consistency is a rarity. Overall, Lylo Swim Club outdoor bar/restaurant is a little oasis tucked away amongst so much greenery and beauty! Yes they have the pool nearby, but we didn't take a dip. Something to look forward to! P.S. Can the tile pattern on the bar be any more gorgeous?!

Just keep an eye on how much you're spending! There's a lot of spots for improvement here, but I'd also say that Lylo is one of the few businesses I've ever seen do such a visually-great escape out from their pool area. If you're here for the escape and temper your expectations for food or drink, I think you'd have a good time. There are a TON of mosquitos here, so prepare accordingly. The bar and hotel lobby didn't have bug spray nor any for sale. The nearby liquor store does have some for sale at less than a block's walk. (The pool is hot mid Phoenix summer. The pool itself felt closer to a hot tub than a refreshingly cold pool. I'm told this is normal for pools in Arizona in the summer.) PROS: -All of the drinks are really pretty, visually, and with the pool, you have a great mecca for social media photos. -Despite the ridiculous 110+ Phoenix heat, we were relatively comfortable in the shaded restaurant area with the misters. We could still see the pool, but we weren't baking alive. -Pool bathrooms were clean enough. There were lots of puddles and toilet paper on the ground, but nothing was horrific or moldy like some pool bathrooms can be. Spacious stalls for changing too - though I didn't see any shower or changing areas. -The pool area itself is pretty! It makes for gorgeous Instagram photos, and Lylo knows that. There are lots of little spots (a camp sign, a chair off on its own, all the loungers, etc.) that make cute photo backdrops in addition to the pool itself. -There is a collection of inflatable pool toys in the corner that seem to be open for guest use. CONS: -Water bottles are not allowed at all - not even sealed disposable plastic ones from the grocery store. They'll store them for you, and you can fetch your own water with disposable plastic cups while you're here. -The misters in the pool area were broken. With the heat, we chose not to actually use the pool, and instead stayed in the restaurant, shaded area with misters. -All of the on-menu drinks are pretty sweet and not super boozy (at their price points). It's easy to go through quite a few at their higher price. Make sure that you're spending intentionally. -We weren't in love with the food we ordered. It felt like frozen food reheated and served to us. To be fair, that's about to be expected from a pool bar, but it was still something to note at the prices and with nearby restaurants walkable. -Service is there. I wouldn't say it was friendly or welcoming, but the servers checked in often in-between talking to people in swimsuits or joking with friends. I rarely waited for anything, but I didn't feel like a valued guest. -The fabric of the chaise loungers and lounge beds are stained. I saw some employees hauling off some of them and shoving them into the back of a fabric cleaning van, so I'd assume they rotate in and out and have to deal with a ton of spilled drinks.

The soothing decor and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal, especially on an unseasonably hot day. We began our culinary journey with the Larb Mushroom appetizer, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured succulent oyster mushrooms tossed with roasted rice powder, fresh mint, shallots, cilantro, and a vibrant chili-lime dressing. Each bite was a refreshing explosion of flavors, combining the earthy richness of the mushrooms with the zesty brightness of the dressing. It was light, refreshing, and a perfect precursor to the meal ahead. For her main dish, my wife chose the Pad Z U, an outstanding selection that showcased sautéed broad noodles, crispy fried tofu, and Chinese broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable sweet soy sauce. The noodles were soft and chewy, creating a delightful texture that harmonized beautifully with the vegetable medley and tofu. The heat in the dish was skillfully balanced, providing just enough kick without overwhelming the palate. My wife couldn't stop raving about it! I opted for the Kua Kling, and it truly was a star of the evening. This spicy stir-fried minced chicken was enriched with fragrant curry paste, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, resulting in an aromatic dish that was accompanied by tender long string beans and the unique Sadtor beans. The flavor profile was complex and enticing, with each ingredient complementing the others in a delightful dance of spice and freshness. It was a dish that not only warmed my belly but also left me craving more. What elevated our experience even further was the attentiveness of our server. With a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor, they offered excellent recommendations and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu added to our enjoyment, making the dining experience even more memorable. Overall, LeDu Thai is a culinary treasure that I cannot recommend highly enough. Each dish was exceptional, bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Thai dining experience. GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

I absolutely love the atmosphere and it's not high energy. Very relaxed which is great for me. The food was good. We got the basil pesto ice cream and omg. Divine. The pesto ice cream honestly was lije pistachio ice cream. It worked amazing and so refreshing. Underneath was a lemon ice thing that was exquisite and very palate refreshing. It tasted tart and like lemons. Not crunch. Soft ice. One thing though. The drinks weren't bad price. Average for tha area. The only thing is the bar tender made all of our drinks very strong. Most people think that's a good thing but honestly all I could taste was booze. I ordered a whisky sprite (7and7 spoof) and wow I could only taste whiskey. Every sip was booze booze and more booze. For the cocktails I wasn't able to taste any of the ingredients since it was so strong on the alcohol. Definitely moneys worth I guess lol. The bartender though was very nice and knowledgeable about all the drinks. Could explain all the drinks and the different types of alcohol. Not bad. Definitely would come back. Super cute for date night or a small gathering night out since space wise isn't huge.

Heck yeah. For brunch, we were treated to a complementary squash sticky bun. This was delish, highly recommend. I also ordered the masa almond tea cake. The flavor of this was yummy but it wasn't evenly distributed. The cake was kind of dry and flavorless on the outside and moist on the inside. For my meal, I got the Tres leches French toast. Do not get this unless you're like me and have a major sweet tooth. I think this was one of the sweetest meals I've ever had, it was basically slathered in syrup. V yummy. It was fun to explore the vintage store after. It was a great way to walk off a big brunch and discover some cool pieces. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Phoenix, highly recommend Valentine. FYI: no parking lot, street parking only.

For way too long Valentine was sitting on my list of places to try. We had family visiting from…read moreCali and they know one of servers working there, so they asked if I have been, I said no but I would love to go. I always planned to go for dinner, I didn't even know they were open for brunch. Well now I do, and it was SO delicious that I would like to come back to try other menu items. The ambiance of Valentine is like being in Palm Springs at a resort enjoying brunch. It's very mid-century modern and I love the decor. They have a large outdoor patio that is probably nice when it's not summer. We sat inside and noticed there is a vintage market (Modern Manor) attached to the restaurant, we went there after eating. (A cute place with some pricey items. I'll post a separate review of the store.) Our server Pete, he was exceptional. He knows my cousins' husband and he gave us the grand tour of the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and we wanted for nothing. We started with handcrafted drinks, I really enjoyed the coffee menu options, with unique flavors. I had the iced Cajeta latte with oat milk. Cajeta is like a Mexican caramel and was very good with espresso. I also tried the chiltepin shakerato (a slight spicy mocha) and golden milk (turmeric latte). I really liked all of them. Then we had a fantastic sampler plate of pastries-- piñon croissant, morning swirl, and churro croissant roll. Baked fresh, these are really great! My fave was the morning swirl. I would come back to try the other pastries alone. Next we had the chula seafood crudo with a delicious agua chile sauce. Then onto our entrees-- avocado toast, breakfast sando, tortilla espanola, tres leche French toast, tater tots, and for good measure the Sonoran dog. I was able to try all the dishes and everything was awesome. The toast used is a thick Texas toast type of bread that is called squash brioche-- so good! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, you can tell that Valentine cares about using fresh, local, high quality/ interesting ingredients with unique flavors. I mean they add trout roe to their Sonoran dog and serve with house made allium-nori chips... how fun is that?! And mesquite-pecan butter with sorghum-sage syrup for the French toast is so rich and sweet. That's a dessert type brunch dish for sure. We had so much food, we couldn't finish so we boxed up leftovers which heated up and tasted great the next day. I fully intend to come back for the dinner menu and have cocktails at Bar 1912. I look forward to it.

They also add mushroom gravy (drools). The crispy rice added a fun and umami crunch which I looooooved and the gravy was a bit messy but worth every bite. Fantastic combo!! The only dish that didn't quite meet our expectations was the corn bread, but when we told the server he was so kind about it and we were able to exchange it for a different side. The overall service was great! I made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Kyle checked up on us frequently and our food came out pretty quick too! Also, at the bar area there was a TV that played the world cup game, and afterwards baseball. I think this can be a nice lowkey place to watch a game since the vibe was chill. Keep in mind the everyday happy hour is only for the cocktails: the cocktails are $6 and we all enjoyed ours. I got a No. 22 and really liked it. If you don't drink, you can also make the cocktails to mocktails too. Before coming here, I had once been to the next door ice cream place Churn before, but this was my first time coming to Windsor, and I didn't even realize they served the Churn ice cream too for desert! My friends and I shared a triple scoop of double chocolate, sweet cream, and cookies & mint in a cup. It was a good amount of ice cream for the 4 of us, not too sweet either. This place is also advertised as dog-friendly online, which I assume was meant for the outdoor patio seating (the patio looked cute, it had misters and was covered). Overall, great place!! So glad I came here :)

I first came across Don Woods' Say When reading a Yelp article listing out the best rooftops in…read moreeach state. Don Woods was Arizona's pick. For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.

There's not many food selections and Sundays they are closed. The drinks are semi-expensive but…read moredelicious. I would try it but at the rooftop bar it's pretty warm during the summer. I say try it if you have a chance.
