Brunch Snob was fantastic! They don't take reservations, but you can join the waitlist once you're close. I checked in about 20 minutes out, and by the time I arrived, my wait was only around 10 minutes. The restaurant was packed but super cute! I loved the phrases on the back of the seats and the stylish wall decor--it all added to the vibe. For our order, we tried a variety of things. The Chicken Bacon was tasty but a tad salty, while the Mimosa Flights were a standout--they let you swap flavors, which was perfect for tasting a bit of everything! A friend ordered the Smoked Salmon Breakfast Quesadilla and liked it. I had the Cajun Shrimp & Grits Benedict was my favorite--absolutely delicious! For starters, we shared the Giant Cinnamon Roll (totally big enough to split) and the French Toast Sticks--they were amazing! Highly recommend for brunch lovers! Our server was great! read more

Service wasn't bad for a busy Sunday, but we were waiting awhile at times for things. Food was good and I enjoyed my shrimp and grits biscuit dish overall! Others in my group enjoyed their food as well and would recommend the drinks too. We dined outside and it was nice but I would definitely recommend sitting out there when it gets colder and there's no flies since that was the hardest part about being on the patio. Ended up here randomly on a Sunday. The wait was around 45 mins for the two of us. It was entertaining to look around at all the fun decor. Near the end of our meal, we were told they needed to turn the table within 90 minutes--even though we had barely been there 60. To make matters worse, this policy was never communicated upfront or listed anywhere on their website. It felt rushed, unprofessional, and honestly disrespectful. I joined the wait list on yelp and was 17th in line, 20mins later I was at 1st in line so I walked up to the host to check in. She told me it would be 30mins or so (she was telling everyone that walked up to the host stand the same thing) I told her I was 1st in line on the yelp wait list and she said OH OK. She then proceeded to seat 3 other parties before me, she saw the look I made, then she said they called ahead so she sat them down. I didn't know that was an option, even then does yelp and their restaurant not communicate with each other? Because it seemed like there were two separate wait lists?! The restaurant is small inside but they do have patio seating as well. Food came out and it was Okish, I got the brisket Benedict with spicy house potatoes and a mimosa flight. The benedict was good, potatoes were bland BUT the mimosa flight was perfect! No music playing in the restaurant don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Solid breakfast/brunch/lunch place that is open until 3PM. My son always get their giant cinnamon roll or their french toast. I usually order the barbacoa platter or the tacos plate. This place gets bonus points because they have an outside covered patio that is dog friendly. Staff always bring a water bowl for our dog without asking. We usually come before 9AM on a Sunday morning, so service is very fast. read more

Breakfast is my least favorite meal, but not at Brunch Snob. Their menu is extensive and has fun options. I had the crazy clucker, which was bigger than I wanted, but I wanted to try all of the flavors: buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken, chicken fried bacon, gravy, honey...yummm. As my husband said, "it tastes just like it looks" and it looked amazing! The restaurant decor is fun, and I'm always appreciative of a bathroom that is also decorated to theme. read more

Truly lives up to their name-- snobs My boyfriend put his reservation thru yelp. Received a confirmation text. Waited for almost 2 hours just to get kicked off the list when we were number 2 in line. Went in to resolve the issue and was told by the host that he never saw us on the list and wouldn't even have a table to seat us anyway. Unempathetic and unhelpful. Not too sure if it was an issue with the reservation on the app or with their system. Wasted a lot of time waiting for nothing. read more

The food was fantastic, and the menu offers a wide variety with something for everyone. It wasn't overwhelming like some brunch spots can be. Our server, Lee, clearly has a lot of regulars--he's genuinely cheerful and excels at his job. Exceptional waitstaff like him is rare these days. My Bloody Mary was great, with shrimp and a crispy piece of bacon. I'll definitely be back, especially since the menu features fresh ingredients. read more

Cute little restaurant in uptown Phoenix, I loved my meal and my friend got the bowl and she loved it and it was huge so she could take some food home. Their bottle off campagne way $25 and we had plenty which was nice. Food was very well priced with both our meals being like 15 or less. We sat outside and they make the area nice for the fact that it's in like a strip of grocery store and other stores etc. We had a really cool waitress checked on us juuuust the right amount and got us any extra stuff we needed they kept the tables around us clean which was super nice! Their water isn't "hitting" so order a drink of some kind but that's my only not super positive to say! So please go check them out!! read more

Wow, this was one dining experience where everything was excellent. The food was well prepared, very tasty, well presented. Our server was extremely efficient and very friendly, even with the pressure of a very busy Sunday noon time which is when my friends and I went to this place. Food was great, it was a lot nonetheless. I had the soft shell crab Benny and it was wonderful, very tasty and not overpowering. My husband had the shrimp and grits bc he is obsessed with Cajun food and it did not disappoint either. Will def come back to try different stuff from the menu. I really enjoyed the creativity with the menu items-- it seems like there is something for everyone. The atmosphere was great, and service was also great. The only constructive feedback I would provide would be to, perhaps, make the pancakes a little thinner for the pancake tacos, and my brisket tacos became very messy on account of the tortillas being soggy on arrival. Every time we have the chance to visit Brunch Snob, we do. If he is working, we try to sit with Lee. All of the servers do a wonderful job. That said, Lee is attentive without being smothering & has a delightfully engaging tableside manner. We have tried the Hillsberry Scramble, Hungover Burger, waffle (maybe the best in town), Carnitas Omelet, Spicy Clucker, and a few more. It was very fun and they also offer daily specials on drinks. The cocktails are delicious, priced well, and the service is impecable. I also liked the space as it includes bar seating, tables, and comfortable couches. They also have a pool table available for use. I enjoyed my visit and will be returning. We thought our bartender was so nice and friendly and he made awesome drinks. I especially enjoyed the lemonade stand.

Mind you never got silverware or napkins so we were using the towels. 25 minutes for a can of beer mind you. Explained to him that the drinks tasted like they were poisoned. He said what do you expect when you order alcohol. 3. he asked why I didn't grab a server. There were two and I saw them maybe three times only when they were delivering wrong food. He then told me that they were overstaffed yesterday pathetic. On top of that he said everyone was going there to get the dole whip drinks because of TikTok. I'm glad other people could enjoy them, but you would think since he works in the restaurant industry he would have grace for others when its impossible to please everyone. That I understand but with all of these things that went wrong a discount should have been applied. I've never experienced someone so rude and uptight. I can't even imagine someone having a bachelorette party or a birthday there I would be embarrassed to have my friends or anyone I know being in contact with this place or Paul. good luck to him.

We were eventually seated at a table that was partially in direct sun, and when we asked about moving to one of the shaded tables, we were told they were unavailable and "reserved". However, those tables remained empty for over 30 minutes, which was frustrating given the situation. To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. We live in the Willo nearby and I don't think we're going to keep coming here if this restaurant allows the constant service issues and the rude staff like this.

Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.
