I've been coming to this Bruegger's in Temecula for quite some time, and the service has always been good--until today. I stood at the counter for over seven minutes while the staff, including an employee named Mike, never acknowledged me. A simple "We'll be with you in just a moment" would have made all the difference. Instead, I was completely ignored. Mike never even came over to help me--someone working the cash register eventually had to step away and assist me. Unfortunately, the entire team came across as cold and rude. When I was finally helped, there was no apology for the wait. Instead, I was greeted with a curt, "What can I get you?" in a tone that made it seem like they were annoyed to take my order. I asked for Mike's name because his attitude was especially unprofessional and rude throughout the interaction. Not once did anyone thank me for my business. To top it off, my receipt encouraged me to complete a customer feedback survey while also asking for a gratuity. After the level of service I received, that was incredibly disappointing. This is my local Bruegger's, and I've always enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was so surprising. A colleague brought in Bruegger's Bagels on her last day and suddenly the main office was a Michelin brunch spot. The bagels were soft, chewy, and dangerously good with a solid lineup of flavors and spreads. Nothing wakes people up faster at work than free carbs and flavored cream cheese!! Great bagels that they make fresh daily in house. Bought the dozen bagel deal on Wednesday which I pre ordered in the morning and picked up before closing. They had order ready. These bagels miss their self imposed mark. Right next to where they make the bagels is a poster identifying poorly made bagels. I'd assume this is for internal quality control. Having gone to this place nearly 100 times (because it's the only bagel place in the area) the bagels never look or taste like the ideal bagel on the poster. They are always flat, deflated, hard, etc. I recently picked up a dozen for a birthday brunch and they all looked like someone sat on them, flattening them out. This place can most certainly use some sort of quality control audit to make sure the person making the bagels is up to standard. It's unfortunate that this is the only bagel shop in town. Service was abysmal. I stood in line for at least 20 min. There were 2 young woman working extremely hard preparing sandwiches while the rest of the crew very slowly walked around and took care of what should be lower priority tasks while they let their patrons wait. I finally just scrapped getting the 2 sandwiches I had planned to get for lunch and just asked the young man with the mustache if he could just bag some bagels. He begrudgingly agreed and gave a little attitude when I asked him to cut the bagels. Does not appear that an experienced manager was anywhere on the premises as the staff did not understand how to manage the orders. This is my favorite place after a long night of wine tasting. My husband gets the farm house and I get the sausage, egg and cheese on pumpernickel! So hard to come by this bread and in bagel form with the perfectly crisp outside and soft inside. My favorite bagel by far. They also cook their eggs fresh, which I discovered recently which made me Love this place even more. Their manager can often be seen testing the temperature of the foods, which food safety is HUGE for foods like onions, tomatoes and sprouts. I saw a long line and thought well if it's this busy it must be something to it. So I went in and ordered three bagel sandwiches and chips. The salmon lox bagel was really good except for they may have put just a little bit too much cream cheese on it. The line was really long and they were kind of slow in trying to process orders. The bagels are very fresh however, the spreads are lacking in variety. The spicy ones are not that spicy. To be honest I think Einstein bagels is much better. read more

There was a line of people that snaked around the restaurant and almost touched the door. So, if you visit on a weekend morning, bring your appetite but also bring your patience. The menu is straightforward and simple: just bagels and bagel sandwiches, for the most part. I got bagel sandwiches for myself and my family, three of which were the Farmhouse breakfast sandwich. You can customize your sandwich, to a point: you choose whether you want a whole egg or egg white, select the type of cheese you want, toasted or untoasted bagel, and an option to add extras. I got the Smoked Salmon breakfast sandwich, which comes with cream cheese, capers, raw onion, and tomato on a plain bagel. I liked it a lot, but in retrospect I probably should have picked a sandwich that didn't have so many bad-breath-causing agents in it, because I ate it right before my mom's memorial, when I was about to be all up in people's faces. Oh well. When you're grieving, you don't think about those kinds of things, I guess. In any case, everyone liked their bagel sandwiches, including me. Tomatoe spread was grainy and dry. Eggs were bland, McDonald's quality. Bacon was burnt which some people don't mind but it was like potatoe chips. My bagel was toasted and it came out soggy. Bagel fell apart upon opening it from the wrap. Would not come back. read more

Lately the service here has been horrendous. The line in the store is always super long because they focus on online orders over in person customers. I saw three or four employees working on external orders where only 1 was servicing in person. Very obvious where their priorities lay. i brought some friends out of state to try one of my favorite bagel places. one of my friends doesnt eat pork and she had a brain fart and totally forgot if she specified turkey sausage. i went to ask the woman who took our order (glasses and tan skin and a braid) and she was honestly really rude even when taking our order. she said "i just said that" when i was simply asking to make sure. i think she thought i was trying to check her but my i was explaining my friend literally forgot if she specified or not. pretty rude read more

Recently moved to the area and I'm excited that there's a local bagel place. I went in here today and there was a guy behind me in line that walked in, already complaining about the way they cut their bagels. I ignored him... but he was persistent and ended up making a scene at the counter. Honestly, he was such a joke. I hope the employees here know that that handled themselves as professionally as they could and that they are working quickly and in a friendly manner, considering the line was out the door!
