The Millworks support local talent from growers to local artist. The restaurant provide fresh seasonal items. A menu that has something for everyone that includes homemade pizzas, sandwiches and full meals. With a solid drink menu that includes cocktails with shrubs, their beer, wine and more. I sat down at the bar and was warmly greeted by fellow patrons and the bar staff during a busy Thursday night! Pro tip: make reservations if you want a table. The bar overlooks the courtyard that offers limited seating. The main dining area offers a very size able seating area. Note when the sun goes down you can be blinded at the bar. The menu looked all soooo good . As it was so good that I was having trouble deciding on some food but I paired down to a couple items and with help of the patrons and bartender we decided on a pizza with mushrooms. The pizza was very large and filled with mushrooms. A great pizza for mushroom lovers. I complimented my pizza with an adult beverage. I had a champagne with a local shrub. It was the perfect balance. During mg time at the bar, I learned this is one of three restaurants in town. The owner has a "dive bar" that looks to be a tiki bar and a date night place. It was also getting fairly loud while we were sitting there, and the staff seemed tired or stretched thin, so I would not be surprised if we caught the place at a bad moment, maybe during a shift change or just an awkward transition between breakfast and lunch. The restaurant was busy, which usually says something good, and the food we saw going to other tables looked pretty solid. That is why I landed on 3 out of 5. This was not a bad experience in the usual sense. It was more of a non-experience. We never got far enough to judge the food, and I do not think it would be fair to hammer the place over one oddly timed visit. But sitting that long without even getting water was enough for us to leave.

We thought it would be a nice size to split with 4 but it turned out to be quite small. Only 1 slice of bread , small drizzle of balsamic and just 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and maybe a half handful of arugula. Maybe make this a bit larger of a portion as a starter. For entree I chose the pappardelle bolognese - house made fresh pasta , Italian sausage and short rib ragu with ricotta cheese. Needed a bit more of the sausage and short rib but still very good. My wife had the shrimp Alfredo. Very tasty as well with plenty of shrimp and another delight with the house made pasta which takes it to another level. A surprise was that the tails were already removed from the shrimp to make it easier to enjoy. For dessert we'd share the chocolate peanut buttter mousse cake! So rich but so delicious! I arrive to this Brownstone Cafe place thinking it would be a cool historical place to eat at. Boy was I wrong, I waited 30 mins for my watered down coke. Which they first brought strawberry tea out. I then waited 40 mins for a watery spaghetti and meatballs. I then nearly chocked on one of the soggy meat balls. The food is good, the selection is good, the prices are good. However, I don't really like going. It's the only good family restaurant in the town and so it's always packed. You can't move. There's always a wait. Parking is awful. And do not go on a super hot summer day. The building is historic and I guess that means no air conditioning.
