Chicken and waffles with mashed potatoes
Shelly R.

All you can eat chicken and waffles Monday night with two sides. I chose stuffing and mashed potatoes. Always so hot and delicious! Always grab extra gravy!

Was in town for a work meeting and stopped by quickly to grab a bite with colleagues. The location is cute, located in an old bank! They have a parking lot in the back that was packed and inside was packed too, especially for a Wednesday around 1pm. The servings were good and it's reasonably priced too! Get the onion rings! Our server was very sweet and didn't rush us out at all. Thanks for a great experience! I wish them well!

Good food, excellent service, great aesthetic! My friends and I stopped here this morning on our way to Philly. Sincerely just typed "breakfast" into the maps app and chose a spot not too far off our route. We couldn't have been happier with our decision! We were greeted immediately by the hostess who was extremely helpful, explaining our seat choices in great detail. We opted to sit upstairs which gave a cute surprise view of the train set! Our waitress was also helpful, kind, and quick. The food was quick out as well. I ordered the banana stuffed French toast. Delicious. My friends enjoyed their breakfast burritos. The taste was almost as good as their prices. If you are looking for a down to earth place for a quick bite, Brownstone is a great stop.

I had landed at Harrisburg Airport airport at lunchtime and was looking for something to eat that was not the same old thing. I found this restaurant online and it was only five minutes from the airport. What I found here was a beautiful classic building, great service, and delicious food. The ham loaf lunch was great and was under $20, and that includes a drink. The place was hopping and I could see why. It had a warm atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

Prepackaged Guacamole

Lovely facade of an old bank turned restaurant. We were in Harrisburg metro and popped in for lunch. Restaurant was booming at lunchtime and we were able to secure a small booth. Seemed to be a lot of regulars who are well acquainted with staff and menu. The Rachel sandwich is good. Sauerkraut, turkey breast and Swiss on grilled rye. Came with chips but added fries. Server dropped off the plate and never came back. So ketchup was not available with fries. Maddening. The burrito came with prepackaged tubes of sour cream and guacamole, functional but lacks aesthetic. Chips were not served as ordered but was replaced by rice pilaf. What? Again the server never came back till the check was required. The check is a paper receipt left on the table. I had cash, thankfully, so I left it on the table as the server never came back.

Fresh strawberry pie with bananas at the bottom.

First time in here was an experience. We went Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. When we enter the staff was friendly to greet us. We did have a wait but it wasn't terribly long. Our waiter was very friendly. Food came out quick and hot and was delicious. We did enjoy looking around the building as it was an old bank. I liked how they kept certain things from the bank to add to their cafe. It was very beautiful in there. I would go back again.

Turkey Croquets

The special today was Stuffed Pepper with two sides and it was perfect! Slow cooked and perfectly tender... the pepper melted in my mouth! The beef vegetable soup was hearty and perfectly seasoned. Others in my party had the turkey croquets and chicken fingers and everyone thought their meal was delicious. The decor was lovely and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend

Next time I'll eat in . The portions were plentiful for the dine in people. 4shrimp and 4 scallops . I will say I'm going back because it is a five star restaurant. And I saw the massive plates as I was walking out . 3 stars too less food. I can eat 6 lbs of seafood boil. This was more an appetizer

This place is awesome. We came in for lunch before 12pm. The place was packed. We got a table for 4. The menu is big. We ordered the open face turkey and roast beef. The Rachel and a salad w/ real chicken. My tower of turkey came out. Wow. Tons of food. Turkey, dressing, mash, gravy, broccoli, and cranberry. The entire plate was full. The roast beef was no different. The salad plate was full of greens and a grilled chicken breast. Finally, the Rachel was a big sangawich. Everything was big. Did i say that already? Anyway, the food was great. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was playful and on the ball. Constantly checking in on us. I highly recommend this place. We will be here tomorrow again.

I had the pulled pork sandwich, and my husband had the ribs. I enjoyed a flight of their beers, while my husband had a beer. Everything was delicious, and the service was great--friendly, fast, and attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend stopping at Lancaster Brewing if you're in the area. It was the perfect stop after a bike ride!

But this place is much more than beer, and I can't recommend it enough. First, there is a bar completely separate from the eating area, so you can choose what experience you want. Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. I tasted my friend's polenta and it was perfectly balanced with some cheese, not too salty. I could eat that for days. Finally, Eva, our waitress? Wonderful. My friend and I were weighing dessert, we wanted a brownie but not the whole hot fudge brownie sundae. Eva made it work and even split it between heated and cold. What a great server. Props to Eva! To get this quality of food, this quality of beer, this quality of service, and this quality of ambiance all in one? No wonder my friend was willing to go two days in a row. I need a Lancaster Brewing in my town.

After a long bike ride, the sun was shining, the weather was perfect, and the outdoor deck was such a nice, relaxing place to sit and enjoy a great meal. I'm not just saying this, but the burgers were honestly some of the best I've ever had! I ordered the Montreal Burger, and it was absolutely incredible. So tender, juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor! The other burger looked amazing as well. The fries were delicious, and being able to enjoy a Troegs IPA with everything made it even better! Between the beautiful outdoor atmosphere, great food, and excellent service, this is hands-down one of the best restaurants around. Such a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and have an incredible meal. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be back!

For drinks I ordered a frozen margarita, very disappointed- it had no flavor, and left as though it was missing something. My mom ordered a Moscow Mule, that was also ok, only tasted or ginger beer. My fiancé had the green tea & jolly rancher shot. The shots were the only good drinks. I had the taco trio, very delicious. I would have rather had coleslaw as the cilantro lime had no flavor. I did get mild sauce on my tacos which made them delicious. My fiancé had a double cheeseburger and wings, delicious. My mom had the Frank dog and loved it. It reminded me a lot of Gasoline Street Coffee Company in Pittsburgh. Service was good despite the light staffing. On our Friday evening visit, as far as I could see there was only one person handling the bar and tables, but she was friendly, attentive, and handled everything with a smile. Unfortunately, the two biggest reasons most people head to a bar/restaurant--food and drinks--fell a bit flat. The food was fine, but nothing stood out, and portions/prices felt a little high for the quality. The biggest downside was how quiet it was. A Friday night with only 2-3 other patrons made the place feel empty and a bit discouraging. No one wants slammed service from overworked staff, but the opposite isn't ideal either. If you're in the area and want a low-key spot with good vibes and don't mind basic food, it's worth a try. But if you're looking for a lively scene or standout eats, you might want to keep driving.
