This is airport food. You're not getting a piece of lettuce for under $12. That said, our server Joyce was a sweetheart. I ordered the French dip and she said it was her favorite sandwich. I know why, it's a solid French dip! We got our food in 8 minutes after we ordered, I'm not sure if Joyce said anything to the cooks because I did mention I was starving lol. My partner got a chicken torta - I would call this an Americanized chicken torta. It came on some sort of grain bread. Still tasty, the thinly sliced jalapeños gave it a nice kick. The cafe was fairly busy but service was quick. Do I wish they served fries instead of chips, yes, but beggars can't be choosers. Again, it's airport food but it's pretty good for what it is. Given COVID and how small this airport is, there were not many food options. Starbucks next door was closed for example. This place was much closer to my gate than Phillip's. Normally, I check YELP before I try a new place but failed to do so on this occasion,. That was a mistake. I was seated and my drink order was taken. When the drink was delivered, I was informed the kitchen was not open as yet. This was at 3:30PM on a Tuesday. It was another 20 minutes or so before the kitchen opened. Please note, this did not jibe with the hours they had posted. Had I known this before I was seated, I would have left. I should have still left. Wait Staff - friendly and competent are mutually exclusive. My server was very friendly but she was so damn slow. And, in an airport, people don't typically have extra time so you would think she would be even more on point to be expeditious in her duties. But no. Food - awful. I basically paid $15 for a frozen pizza I could get at the grocery store of $1.99. Most likely microwaved too. And, it was served on one of those cheap Styrofoam plates. Not even name brand styrofoam, the generic brand. Check - I was done eating and took my credit card out and laced on the table. My frozen pizza was gone, so an empty plate also on display. The server walked past my table 3 times (from behind me) without noticing I was ready to go. I was so tempted to get up and walkout just so I could get her attention. Inquired about my food, and the order was never placed, Jasmine had no clue, despite the order being placed with her and her manager together. I was stuck at the airport for over 5 hours and I was looking forward to a good lunch given all the waiting time. I came to the restaurant and you had to seat yourself, so I did, there was 1 waitress for all the tables which were full, I waited and waited, she would not even look at me, so I went up to her and asked if I could have a menu and she said she was alone and she could only do her best. So I went back to the table and waited again for over 20 minutes and I could not see her anymore so I go up to the bar and ask if I can have a menu and order some food. Ended up getting the French dip and paid the extra $2 for waffle fries. The French dip was pretty good! It was the best part of the meal. I reieved 5, yes a whole 5 burnt waffle fries!! This cafe is in the terminal at MDT: the Harrisburg, PA airport. It's OK about on par with the better airport fare, pricing seems about as reasonable as it gets at the airport. We typically have breakfast here when flying back from visiting relatives and generally have their breakfast panini. It's OK, but the side potatoes are soggy. The waitresses have been fairly nice and attentive. Pretty good service. It's the best choice we've found among the limited selection at the Harrisburg airport. It also opens earlier in the morning than most of the other restaurants. The day we flew out on a 6:15 AM flight, they opened at 5. There are no posted hours so you can't tell when they're open and when we've flown in they're always closed (we typically land after 8PM) read more

This is one of only a handful of options in the Harrisburg airport but I think the Subway might have been a better option. The waiter was nice and it has a good view but my food (chicken tenders and waffle fries) were pretty terrible. The chicken looked similar to the kind you buy bagged and frozen in the grocery store, and were likely baked instead of fried as advertised. Same with the fries. On top of that, both were clearly over cooked. And with with only plastic cutlery, it was impossible to cut. The food was tasty. Unfortunately, I didn't exactly get what was described in the menu. I got the mac 'n cheese which was supposed to have bread crumbs and green onions on top with a petite side salad. I did not get the salad. There were no green onions and barely any bread crumbs. In fact, I heard my waitress loudly informing the chef that she couldn't serve the mac 'n cheese without bread crumbs and with a plastic fork in it. I guess that made the chef put a pinch of bread crumbs. Overall, I didn't have a great impression of the place, but it is in an airport and I don't usually have high expectations for airport restaurants. read more
