sausage egg and cheese on an everything

All of these bad reviews are from years ago. Brooklyn Standard has the best bagels in Greenpoint that make the best sandwiches. They're fluffy, boiled bagels that remind me of Jersey. You wouldn't expect how good the bagels are but they're definitely better than Bagel Point's. I like the juice bar too. I get a small #1 juice. It's like a kale, ginger, cucumber thing. I prefer the juice over the coffee. The coffee can be watery sometimes. Again, a 3 star review is very unfair for this place.

First time ordering from here and I will NEVER do so again. Ordered a smoothie and a bacon egg and cheese on a roll. The spot is around the corner from me. This is how the sandwich was delivered (pictured below) and no straw for my smoothie. I'll leave this place to the hipsters.

Holy Guacamole Burrito

If looking for a fresh and delicious breakfast burrito then look no further than Brooklyn Standard on Nassau Ave. Located only a few blocks from McGolrick Park, the deli hosts a diverse array of breakfast options to satisfy the pickiest of taste buds. I ordered the Holy Guacamole Breakfast Burrito, which was loaded with scrambled egg, potatoes, pepper jack cheese, pinto bean spread, and guacamole. It was scrumptious and costs $7.50. Service was fast and friendly.

Quick and easy bodega style ordering. Great veggie and vegan options too! Got the veggie burrito with veggie sausage.

Super cheap amazing vegan sandwiches, a godsend. Cali Bagel with tempeh and a small coffee, best deal around.

I've eaten from both locations often over many years. Consistently super yummy and quality. I love the vegan Ruben!

Farmer In the Deli - Honey Maple Turkey with Pepper Jack Cheese on a Hero.

3.5 stars I came to…read moreFarmer in the Deli cause of the hype it has on social media for thier viral chopped sandwhiches. I arrived and of course thier was a line. I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

The original name was called laurose and tuna salad chopping has been happening for over four decades. My fort green family really know what it is. My cousin and I stopped by yesterday and picked up a couple of heroes. I had to get my beef salami and 3 pepper colby jack cheese, extra mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, on a whole wheat hero (10.99) . Much love to a family staple for years. Definitely a place for you to pick up a sandwich that won't break the bank.

David's Brisket House and Deli - Pastrami & Brisket Sandwich

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Great food doesn't care where you come from -- it just brings everybody to the same table. That's New York. That's Brooklyn.

Stopped by David's Brisket House while in Brooklyn after hearing so many recommendations about this…read morespot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. One of the best parts is that the place is halal, which made it an easy stop for some classic New York deli-style sandwiches. The restaurant has that old-school neighborhood deli feel with a small cozy dining area, wood-paneled walls, and the smell of fresh smoked meat filling the entire place. I went with the combo pastrami and corned beef on rye, and it was absolutely loaded with meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the corned beef was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The rye bread held everything together really well and added that classic deli flavor that makes sandwiches like this so good. We also tried the Reuben-style sandwich with melted cheese and sauerkraut, which was equally delicious and perfectly balanced. The portions here are huge, the meat quality is excellent, and every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're in Brooklyn and craving authentic deli sandwiches with halal options.

I finally made it here to try any one of their legendary subs and sandwiches!…read more The deli is super old Skool Italian, cash only in a street not easy to get to without a car or taking the bus. But boy it is super worth it if you make the effort! The counter service is excellent and you place your order and wait for deliciousness! There are not many seats except for a few tables out back and a stand up counter to eat your sandwich so fyi! I ordered the Golden Boy Special ( Chicken Cutlet , Vodka Sauce , peppers , mozzarella and prosciutto) it was absolutely superb and the bread it was just incredible! My son and I shared a large plenty of Sandwich for two - and we got homemade meatballs to go ( 4 to be exact) - total bill $30 cash ! I wlll definitely be back to try a different sandwich but until then will remember how delicious this one was !

I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.
