I admit I have never had baklava here, but this place gets 5 stars for their savory pies! So many days coming home from work I'd drop by and grab a spinach or lamb pie as a treat. They are HUGE and so filling, and at around $6, they were a cheap, quick meal. Part of me is sad they moved locations further away from my train stop, but glad that they are still going strong. I definitely need to get out to their new location and finally try their baklava. NB: right now Yelp marks this place as closed, but it is actually OPEN. The address is just wrong here, and they've moved locations from Boerum Hill closer to Bay Ridge / Borough Park.

Assorted Baklava & Spanakopita Triangles. OKAY. The Baklava was GOOD served 2 ways with Walnuts and Pistachios. The 3rd piece in this assortment seemed to be a Mini Revani or something similar. This tasted just fine. Now for the BAD news. The Spanakopita Triangles taste HORRIBLE. I've only had LEBANESE Spanakopita a handful of times and its always tastes BAD. The emphasis always seems to on the Spinach where it seems like I'm tasting nothing but the Leaf itself. I commend the nice gentleman who was assisting me being extremely nice and offering me free Baklava samples. I would come to BROOKLYN BAKLAVA for the Baklava and avoid the Spanakopita. WALK DON'T RUN.

This was the perfect spot to get dessert before a show at Barclays Center. There's no seating, so you'll have to walk with it but it's worth it. Gentleman working the counter was nice, he took the time to explain the items. I'm a sucker for baklava and pistachio, so I got the pistachio baklava. It was excellent, crispy and nicely filled, not too sweet but just right. They also had a paper wrapped pastry with pistachio in it that was also tender and delicious. I added a couple of Turkish delight candies for later. I was a bit disappointed that the kunefe is only available on weekends but it gives me reason to stop in again. They had some nice looking savory options as well, lots of meat or cheese filled pies. Hummus and baba ganoush also looked good.

Came here on a weekend after seeing an Instagram video about it. The store was much smaller than I expected and we initially thought from the video that there was some seating but unfortunately there wasn't. The woman who served us kind of stood there looking at us as we stood there confused how to order. We asked her for a menu to which she said there wasn't one. We looked around for awhile before she offered us a sample of baklava. We ended up getting knafeh which we were disappointed was cold, along with some chocolate dipped dates. The knafeh was very soggy without having added the syrup on the side. There wasn't anything particularly bad and the flavor was alright but I probably wouldn't go back again.

Oh god. If you love baklava, this store is heaven for you! The lady helping us was super nice and offered samples of the baklava, and a rose flavored dessert (I didn't get the name) The price is reasonable - a box of 4 baklava is $8 while 12 is for $18!! I think a great deal is their gift box with a bunch of sample pieces for $32!!! I honestly wish I would've gotten that box for my family instead of the baklava one I got! Brooklyn Baklava also offered chicken/spinach pies and a variety of other treats!!! I'm so happy we stopped in, if we're in the area again, I'm definitely going back!!

Now I've tried a lot of Middle Eastern bakery's and I generally love them-- however one of my Middle Eastern friends said that this is the most authentic and best bakery that I could ever come across and he was totally right. Food: they offer a variety of sweets but they also have savory pies which I absolutely fell in love with. They are baked fresh and the dough is super buttery and soft and it's filled with a variety of fillings that you can get which consist of beef, chicken, feta cheese, spinach and more. For the dessert I opted for the pistachio baklava, knafeh and Turkish delight. It was also delicious but what stood out to me was that the nuts were super fresh and had a stronger taste than other baklava I've tried because they don't hold back on the filling here! This is also hands down the best knafeh I've come across. Drinks: I wasn't able to try any of the drinks but I did see a espresso machine and I believe they also have tea. Service: The staff here is super kind and I absolutely adored how they gave out free samples for people to try which is super sweet!

I bought a feta pie, spinach pie, and lamb pie because I love middle eastern pies but these went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations. Feta: cheesy greatness. Filling had feta and onions, which made it sweet cheesy but also had a little sharp kick to it Spinach: a classic, spinach and onion filling, light and makes me feel like I'm being healthy lol Lamb: IF YOU LIKE LAMB YOU WILL LOVE THIS. Onions peppers lamb filling just perfectly combined together. A must have!! The owner is super helpful and gave me instructions to reheat them at home. (I burnt mines a little )

Solidly delicious baklava with many options to choose from. Great customer service. I was offered some samples to try while I was looking. The 2 things I tried were delicious. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to run some errands in the area. I ended up getting the walnut baklava, some date cookies, dried dates, and a fruit jelly. The pistachio baklava and the custard baklava looked delicious and are on my 'to try' list for next trip!

half pistachio, half walnuts...we couldn't wait before we tore this up!!

THIS IS THE BEST BAKLAVA I'VE EVER HAD!!!! the people who own this business are so so kind and talented. they welcomed me and my friends into their shop for some delicious treats and were very sweet to us as we ate in the store. thank you brooklyn baklava!!

    Jen L.

One of the best baklavas I've had! Got two in a sample pack from a local promotion and was absolutely shocked by how good these were. The phyllo was nice and crispy, even a few days later. Both were drizzled with just enough syrup to give them the extra boost of sweetness. I loved the textural contrast between the phyllo and the chopped nuts. The chopped nuts layer was also super thick, which I appreciated as some baklavas I've had in the past tasted like just soaked phyllo dough with a thin layer of chopped nuts. Brooklyn Baklava definitely did not skimp. Every bite was delicious and I would certainly go back for more.

Warm greeting and samples when you walk in. Great experience every time. Pro tip: this is a great place to impress friends/coworkers with unique, tasty treats at various price points. Used to live around the corner right when they opened, man I took this place for granted! Just tried the spinach pie for first time today. Heaven!

The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.
