This is our second time dining in this year. We were greeted and seated quickly on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. Place was less busy than we expected so it was a perfect time to grab lunch. Our friendly server was a cute girl with neon pink hair. We ordered: a berry mule, Starry, Mtn Dew, fried ravioli, garlic knots, veggie calzone, and a deep dish pizza. Facilities were clean and restrooms were stocked. Parking around the afternoon was less packed than we expected and we landed a spot near the side exit. The drinks were brought over quickly. The mule was strong and cold (just how I like it) and the mint was fresh. Garlic knots arrived first and were even better than the previous take out orders we've had with Bronxhouse. The garlic olive oil that they use is delightful. The fried ravioli arrived next and my husband and I demolished it together. Pizza and calzone arrived at the same time and as we expected, pizza was delicious (crunchy crust, gooey cheese). The calzone was tasty and served in a huge amount so I could only eat one bites before feeling super full (from all the appetizers!). My family and I visited Bronx House Pizza on a holiday Friday afternoon. We really appreciated that they offer convenient, free on-site parking. We were seated promptly, and our service throughout the meal was excellent. We shared a small two-topping pizza, an order of bruschetta, and a Hero sub. Everything was tasty, though my wife didn't love the sub; it was a massive portion, but it didn't hold up well as leftovers. I also tried the Bronx Ale, which tasted a bit like a standard domestic light beer. While I wish they offered pizza by the slice, it's a great spot to grab a bite. The chicken caesar salad is the best around. The chicken is consistently perfectly cooked. Salad dressing is also delicious. We love the pizzas. Service has been great every time we have gone. This location has a big bar area and is much nicer than the one on the island which is more of a beach spot. There is a parking lot but it can fill up quickly. read more

Wow! This place was awesome! We are so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant while on vacation. We ended up eating here twice while in the area. We tried the "beast of burden" pizza, regular cheese pizza, and spaghetti bolognese. All were out of this world. The bolognese was probably the best I've ever eaten! A fairly new Pizzeria on Route 1 in St Augustine, FL. At 6:00PM on a Sunday evening the place was hopping, but we were able to be seated in a booth in no time. Our waiter, Wyatt was super. He took our drink orders, and a plus was that they had Heineken. non alcoholic beer. The Greek Salad and the 2 pies were delicious. One was the 12" Butcher Pie and a 12" Popeye Spinach Pie. My partner and I dine out a lot. We have both mentioned stopping at this joint since they opened but never found the chance. I did recently and entered alone well after lunch hour to try a slice and a beer. I must have stepped into something unwelcoming to join the four or so patrons inside. It was announced loud enough for the several wait staff to hear, that they do not serve "by the slice". Well, what makes this place deserve a name that is crawling with places that do. Good luck on their single serve personal pie for probably $15.00 to $20.00 if you include toppings with a beer. I don't think I will be trying to find a NY style pizza here in the future, despite the name. In my opinion, the only thing they deserve that bares that name is the cheer, made famous at a stadium not far from their namesake. It's like a 2.5 . I want to start by saying that nothing was horrible. But nothing was really good or even great. First of all- do NOT choose to sit at the booth. The seat backs of the booths rock with every movement of the person being you. Choose the table option. For the food, we got the Nonna's Meatballs & Garlic Knots to start. The meatballs were good, nothing special, but good. Good size, sweet & acidic tomato sauce, topped with ricotta. The garlic knots came out and....they were room temperature at best, the bread was basically stale and the bread dough wasn't very good. Top anything in enough oil and garlic and it's edible though lol. We ordered a small Beast of Burden pizza- it was ok? It has the stretching of melting over processed pre-shredded cheese. The best way to describe it is like gourmet Chucky Cheese pizza. It's edible, has a nice crust at the bottom of the pizza and all, but maybe don't waste your time if you're looking for a really good or great pizza. Staff seemed a little busy/overwhelmed but were very nice, was tempted to give 3 stars just for that. If you're in a pinch, or just need to feed the family, do stop in. We decided to order to-go from Bronx House because my sister and I were hungry, but opted to split a meal. We ordered a chicken Milanese and an order of garlic knots. Everything we ordered was done by the time we arrived to get it to go. When we got home, we saw our order was correct. I like that they put the chicken and salad in one, and then didn't add the dressing or balsamic glaze, so it wouldn't get soggy. We've ordered the chicken MIlanese a bunch of times, and normally we'd say the portion is super healthy (normally we've gotten three breasts in one order) This time around, there was maybe one and a half, which is disappointing. Cons: parking is horrible. This place gets super crowded. The wait staff is nice, but rude at the same time. It's a very small restaurant. Pros: the food is good. Some of the staff is nice. Wait time is quick and food comes out fast. We spent a good 10-15 minutes looking for parking. Finally when we were able to find parking we walked in, they let us know it would be about a 25 minute wait. It was more like 10 minutes which was great. They pointed out where we would sit and told us to go right ahead and sit down. Gave me the kids menus and we walked ourselves to our table. The waitress had a bit of an attitude, I would assume it's because the place was slammed. She was attentive, but not really. It was odd. She would walk by quick ask if it was good and before we could answer she would walk away. The food came out pretty fast and it was good. Nothing out of this world. We tried the lasagna balls which were good. My kids tried the cheese pizza and it was good. My husband had the beast of burden pizza and he liked it. Over all the food was good. YAY off we went. We shared the Detroit style Nuts & Bolts pizza and two glasses of wine. It was just as good (if not better) than we remembered. They have a full menu of amazing dishes....a word of advice COME HUNGRY! Portions are generous. Service was also very welcoming.
