Yum! The local pizza restaurant my family usually turns to closed, so we were looking for a replacement "go to". FOUND IT! Bronx House offers a vast array of delicious options sure to please even the most discriminating palate. Ordering was available on line with customization/modification so you can get exactly what you want/need. I opted for pick up and the pizza/ items were ready earlier than quoted which is virtually unheard of. All the items were delicious! It's like a 2.5 . I want to start by saying that nothing was horrible. But nothing was really good or even great. First of all- do NOT choose to sit at the booth. The seat backs of the booths rock with every movement of the person being you. Choose the table option. For the food, we got the Nonna's Meatballs & Garlic Knots to start. The meatballs were good, nothing special, but good. Good size, sweet & acidic tomato sauce, topped with ricotta. The garlic knots came out and....they were room temperature at best, the bread was basically stale and the bread dough wasn't very good. Top anything in enough oil and garlic and it's edible though lol. We ordered a small Beast of Burden pizza- it was ok? It has the stretching of melting over processed pre-shredded cheese. The best way to describe it is like gourmet Chucky Cheese pizza. It's edible, has a nice crust at the bottom of the pizza and all, but maybe don't waste your time if you're looking for a really good or great pizza. Staff seemed a little busy/overwhelmed but were very nice, was tempted to give 3 stars just for that. If you're in a pinch, or just need to feed the family, do stop in. But if you're looking for a delicious warm meal & great pizza, look elsewhere. read more

Hungry for a good pizza , and seeing the sign saying " Voted best pizza" ... we stopped in. The restaurant looked clean and inviting. We were sat quickly, and the waiter took our order. The booth we sat in had a loose back on the seat, and every time the lady and kid in back of me moved, I moved too... uncomfortable to sit and be moved by someone jarring you. Would have liked to move, but no real option. The wait for the pizzas we ordered wasn't too long, and they were getting busy too. I got a spinach pizza, called the popeye, and my husband got the butcher shop. There were two pieces of spinach on each slice.. skimpy . I was hoping for more. The butcher shop pizza was topped with different meats, but not loaded. Both pizzas were not very hot, just warm. They were both mediocre. Nothing really special. Then there was a confusion with our bill getting mixed up with someone else's bill.. it got straightened out, but didn't add anything good to the dining experience. This was a one and done for us. Cons: parking is horrible. This place gets super crowded. The wait staff is nice, but rude at the same time. It's a very small restaurant. Pros: the food is good. Some of the staff is nice. Wait time is quick and food comes out fast. We spent a good 10-15 minutes looking for parking. Finally when we were able to find parking we walked in, they let us know it would be about a 25 minute wait. It was more like 10 minutes which was great. They pointed out where we would sit and told us to go right ahead and sit down. Gave me the kids menus and we walked ourselves to our table. The waitress had a bit of an attitude, I would assume it's because the place was slammed. She was attentive, but not really. It was odd. She would walk by quick ask if it was good and before we could answer she would walk away. The food came out pretty fast and it was good. Nothing out of this world. We tried the lasagna balls which were good. My kids tried the cheese pizza and it was good. My husband had the beast of burden pizza and he liked it. Over all the food was good. I loved the vibe when we walked in, definitely a feel of a good pizza joint. We got a Greek salad that was huge, three of us split it. We also got a deep dish pizza and it was amazing. Parking was impossible! Their parking lot is pretty small and fills up really quickly, so we ended up parking on the street which is a little risky. A fairly new Pizzeria on Route 1 in St Augustine, FL. At 6:00PM on a Sunday evening the place was hopping, but we were able to be seated in a booth in no time. Our waiter, Wyatt was super. He took our drink orders, and a plus was that they had Heineken. non alcoholic beer. The Greek Salad and the 2 pies were delicious. One was the 12" Butcher Pie and a 12" Popeye Spinach Pie. We decided to order to-go from Bronx House because my sister and I were hungry, but opted to split a meal. We ordered a chicken Milanese and an order of garlic knots. Everything we ordered was done by the time we arrived to get it to go. When we got home, we saw our order was correct. I like that they put the chicken and salad in one, and then didn't add the dressing or balsamic glaze, so it wouldn't get soggy. We've ordered the chicken MIlanese a bunch of times, and normally we'd say the portion is super healthy (normally we've gotten three breasts in one order) This time around, there was maybe one and a half, which is disappointing. Our first visit to this establishment was in Palm Coast....we were hooked. 2 visits in one week. When we were in St Augustine this past weekend I found out that there was one close to downtown! YAY off we went. We shared the Detroit style Nuts & Bolts pizza and two glasses of wine. It was just as good (if not better) than we remembered. They have a full menu of amazing dishes....a word of advice COME HUNGRY! Portions are generous. Service was also very welcoming. There is also a bar if you like bar seating - which we do - but there were no seats this visit. Either way you will not be disappointed with a stop here. I was at the bar tonight having dinner and the service was the worst I have experienced so far... The main bartender female was so hung over, she could not even concentrate. DELICIOUS !!!!!! My family ordered the butchers pizza which was loaded with lots of meat and was delicious. My grandchildren went with a half pepperoni, half cheese pizza with french fries and medium buffalo wings and they were both really really really good. The fries were so crunchy like really crunchy and really good. Our server came and took our order very quickly after we were seated and we did try the fountain drinks and sometimes fountain drinks to be hit or miss so they do need to do some adjusting, but we switched over to bottle root beer, which was the perfect drink with our pizza and wings. After a long day at the beach, this was the perfect place to stop for dinner. Unfortunately after we finished our pizza and wings there was no room left for dessert so next time we will try the cheesecake. We highly highly recommend definitely a five out of five. Not sure what burden this "beast" was subjected to, but it wasn't a heavy application of pepperoni or meatballs. The "meatball" pieces were almost as thin as the pepperoni. The only topping the were generous with was the ricotta, which provided silver-dollar sized islands all over the pie where there was almost no flavor at all.
