Stopped in on a Sunday and was excited to see they had a small Bloody Mary bar. They had their regular menu and a brunch menu. The chicken and waffles looked good, but I've had way better. Aside from that, the service wasn't great- a lot of people working, with little attentiveness, even when sitting at the bar.

A german-inspired bierhall that's true to it's intentions, Bronson's is a popular one in the Arlington area and rightfully so. With plenty of tvs, open-style seating, and a menu of german bar eats, there's a lot to like with this establishment. You can either order at the bar or use your phone to scan the barcode at the tables and pay as you go in which someone will bring your order to you upon completion. If you're an introvert or just hate talking to people, this is the way to go. As for beer, there's a large variety available on tap here and they are served in large servings. About 16 on tap, it comes in either half liter or full liter. Tons of German style beer such as Hefeweizen, kolsch, and the Optimal Wit by Port City, one of my favorites. As for food, think of mostly bar food with some German handhelds which include sausages/bratwurst which is what I usually order; they come with peppers/onions and sauerkraut. The also have burgers, pizza, and different kinds of pretzels. You can also go with their hodgepodge of appetizers such as tacos, wings, pierogis, nachos, wontons, and others. It's a bigger menu than you would think for a bierhall. It's a popular spot for me and my coworkers whenever we're in Arlington. Always look forward to hanging here for some beer and to watch a game of some sorts.

Best time to come here is Happy Hour before 6, since crowds of young people flock this place for late night drinks. Incidentally, I always notice a very healthy under-30 crowd. Came here at 5:30 and loved the HH specials. Generous TV screen set up and spacious hall adds to the atmosphere of merrinent. The bar staff is super attentive, which is appreciated. Overall recommend.

Tried the sausage plate, good for sharing , service was outstanding. Ambiance was social, with some great live music

The manager (maybe bar manager) is AMAZING here. The whole staff is on top of everything and works great as a team. Food and drinks are incredibly fast for how busy it was (game 7 basketball night, standing room only) and it's such a great environment. Great food and beer, better service. Would be here all the time if we were from the area!

I LOVEE this bar!!! It's my favorite ambiance, vibe, food, etc. This spot is always rowdy and they have tons of tvs, great food options, and drinks. October is my favorite time to come to this bar because they have a reallyyyyy goood October fest beer. We came on the weekend and it was already hard to find a table around 12:30 pm. There were a couple of tables reserved so we couldn't sit there. We ordered: October fest beer it came in the 1L beer stein 10/10 Bronson Reuben Sandwich with tater tots 9/10 Huge sandwich! Bursting with flavor Pizza Pretzel 9/10 Gigantic pretzels super delicious. I love their queso but it didn't come with the queso. I didn't get a picture I was too busy easy Overall, this is my favorite bar and a solid choice. Especially because I don't like bar food like that. I highly recommend this spot.

Nice indoor beer spot for Happy Hour. Came here after work and it's a good place to chat, watch the game, etc Fried pickles are an acquired taste but the mozzarella bites were good! I also asked for a sweet cocktail so they gave me a summer coolade (?) and it was nice and refreshing.

Super chill pub with a great outdoor area in Arlington! Service was quick and good. Food was ok: - Stuffed pretzel: 10/10 (probably the best dish we ordered! It was cheesy and savory. Loved the dipping sauce it came with.) - Sausage board: 8/10 (decent variety of sausages with mustard on the side) - Buffalo wings: 6/10 (ok wings) - Beer: 7/10 (a lot of the beer selection was out of stock by the time we got there. Beer was good but it would've been better if the beer was a bit colder.)

Been here recently and this is a great sports bar. There is alot of seating but can get packed if there are big games going on. There is outdoor seating with heat lamps which are very warm! The food and drinks are good. You scan the barcode at your table to order and pay and they bring it out to you so there is no hassle to wait for a check or waiter.

This pub is super chill. You walk in and find your spot wherever you find it. They have really good food!! I got old bay wings (made crispy/well done) and I also got the berry salad and added steak. My sister got the blue crab pretzel and just as a heads up, ITS HUGE! Not an item for one person. For a drink, I got Sauvignon Blanc. All items are reasonable priced and there is outdoor seating. It can get SUPER loud inside so that can be a bit over stimulating. I found myself plugging my ears with my fingers There is street parking or garages around - me and my sister took the train from DC and called it a day. To order, you can scan the barcode on your table and the server will bring your food to the table. Super fast and easy.

Came to watch a basketball game, and was surprised my friends and i were able to get a seat. Usually Bronson's is packed when games are on. However, this time it had a nice amount of people. They also had live music, the singer was amazing. I wish i would have gotten his name. I got what I have gotten before which is the sliders, which were delicious and not too heavy. I split that, and a caesar salad with my friend which was a nice size portion and super good. We got the prickly pear margarita, and were not a fan at all. I had one sip and it tasted as if I was drinking hot sauce. I tried to add sprite and water to make it better but unfortunately it was undrinkable. My friend said she has had this drink before and it was a different color and tasted different, so maybe it was just made incorrectly. Not sure I will try it again, but my curiosity is getting the better of me so we shall see. We finished off our meal with the cookie skillet, which was a large portion of a giant chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. It was surprisingly only $7 and was enough for 3 people. Great place for some shareables, and drinks.

Surprisingly great food for a beer hall! Reasonably priced too. I love the vibes of the indoor and outdoor seating. There's plenty of tables in both spaces too which is great for big groups. It's seat yourself and you don't really have wait staff, you order with a QR code. Great vibes with lots of live music

I had been here twice, once in early January 2024 and once on Saturday, December 14, 2024, both were the same friend's birthday party. For his December 2023 birthday, he decided to wait until after holidays as it was a busy time for him & people in general. I'll into more detail about the December visit, but the January visit I had a burger & fries and a beer. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. In December, my girlfriend & I had a tight schedule on that Saturday and determined we were going to need to eat there, as we had something after the birthday party as well. I wasn't that enthusiastic about this (as I felt it was kind of overpriced, mediocre, and if we had time we could've eaten before or after), but we didn't have much choice. Both visits the inside area was crowded, but we did the outside patio area, which was cold in the winter, but not really too bad with some heat lamps around. In January, we were at a couple of high top tables, but the December visit was at a long picnic bench. I had forgotten from the January visit, but this was something that was annoying; there is a scanner to get the menu, and then you had to place the order on your phone with no servers except for when they bring the food/drink to your table # and to clean. I didn't like this setup. For one I prefer looking on a physical menu instead of scrolling through a small phone to determine what I want. I like when a server comes around (or ordering at a counter). I'm sure you could go inside to order food with the bartender, but that would be hassle with us being outside and being a crowded bar. On this long outside table, the scanner was only on our side of the long table, which was fine for us. But some at the party had to come from way over at the other end of the table just to scan as their side didn't have, which we thought was stupid; they should've been on both sides of the table. Also, it asks for a tip ahead of time. I'm not going to tip ahead of time until I know whatever service I'm getting is decent. In January, I left a couple of bucks in cash since it's not even full service. In December, we left and forgot since we paid up front (oh well). We waited a little bit as we weren't that hungry but knew we needed to eat. We waited about 30 minutes to see what a few people got. We determined the pizza looked good. Someone let us sample the pretzel; it was decent, but I didn't want some big bulky pretzel for dinner, which wasn't that great. We decided to get hush puppies & split pizza. The hush puppies were excellent, the best I've had in while! The pizza was good, but plenty of better pizza places, but it hit the mark enough with the chicken & mushroom. If my friend does his birthday party here again, I might try to eat before (or after). But if we were going to eat here, I'd definitely recommend the hush puppies. Pizza I'd be fine with getting again.

The restaurant was clean, bright, airy, and vibrant, with a trendy atmosphere that we absolutely loved. We started with the cornbread, which had a lovely texture, somewhere between traditional coarse cornbread and a sweeter version. It was tender, delicately baked, and served with delicious butter. I ordered the three-egg omelet, accompanied by a beautiful, fragrant, and refreshing arugula salad that I thoroughly enjoyed. The eggs tasted farm-fresh. My mate enjoyed a full breakfast of beef sausage, bacon, potatoes, over-easy eggs, and a biscuit. The coffee was hot and delicious, and my hot matcha was equally enjoyable. One small tip: specialty drinks ordered from the drink bar may take a little longer to arrive at your table, so keep that in mind. Our server was excellent, and the overall experience was wonderful. We were happy to leave a 25% tip for the great service. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive staff, this was an thoroughly enjoyable breakfast. We loved it and would gladly return!

Disappointing First Visit -- Unfortunately, I Won't Be Returning…read more I was genuinely excited to finally visit Ruthie's All-Day in Arlington after hearing so much about the restaurant. Unfortunately, my first experience was disappointing, especially considering how much I was looking forward to it. We started with Harry's Hot Hushpuppies, made with shrimp and jalapeño. They arrived nice and hot, and the batter was crispy, which I appreciated. The flavor was decent, although I think a different dipping sauce would have complemented them better. Overall, they were okay. For my entrée, I ordered Ruthie's Big Plate. I specifically requested my eggs scrambled soft with cheese. Unfortunately, they arrived without the cheese and were not cooked the way I requested. The beef sausage was another disappointment. After taking one bite, I found the texture unusually soft and mushy, almost as though it hadn't been cooked thoroughly. I couldn't enjoy it. The bacon, however, was excellent! The portion was generous, and the flavor was really good. It was honestly one of the highlights of my meal. Unfortunately, the breakfast potatoes were the complete opposite. They were dry, lacked seasoning, and had very little flavor. I did enjoy the grits, which were another positive. My husband ordered the fried chicken biscuit. I tasted his chicken, and it was extremely salty. There was a sweet honey glaze that helped balance the saltiness somewhat, but the salt was still overpowering. The biscuit itself was just okay. I did speak with the manager about my experience, and I want to acknowledge that she was very apologetic and offered to have something else prepared for me. I appreciated her professionalism and willingness to make things right. However, I declined because my husband was already eating, and by the time another meal arrived, he would have been finished. I didn't want him sitting there waiting while I ate. For me, dining out is about more than just the atmosphere or a restaurant's reputation. The food should be flavorful, properly prepared, and served as requested. Unfortunately, too many items fell short during this visit. I really wanted to love Ruthie's All-Day, but based on this experience, I don't see myself returning. I hope management takes this feedback constructively because there is definitely room for improvement in the consistency, seasoning, and preparation of the food. I also want to acknowledge the manager's effort to make things right. She came back over to check on us again, and a server brought us complimentary apple donuts with cookies and cream ice cream. I must say, the cookies and cream ice cream was absolutely delicious! When I spoke with the manager again, she told me, "I didn't want you to leave dissatisfied." I genuinely appreciated her saying that and, more importantly, making the effort to turn our experience around. I even told her that the ice cream was my "happy place" because I enjoyed it that much! Although I was disappointed with several aspects of our meal, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. The manager was attentive, sincere, and genuinely concerned about our experience. Her hospitality did not erase the issues we had with the food, but it certainly made a difference in how we felt leaving the restaurant. I truly appreciate her kindness and willingness to make things right, and I felt it was only fair to acknowledge that in my review. So I changed it to 3 stars for the effort to make things better.

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. What I'll remember most, though, is how genuinely cared for I felt. Before we left, Antonio stopped by one last time to make sure I was happy with my meal and that all of my needs had been met. My husband had put so much love and intention into choosing this restaurant, and thanks to Emma and Antonio, we both left with happy hearts and full bellies. When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

I was surprised by how empty it was for a holiday evening, actually just as strange by how vacant and empty the whole area was. This used to be a very busy area. I started with a White Russian milkshake and it was quite good. Again, that happy hour pricing really made it worth it. My meal was the chicken and biscuits. Large biscuits, fresh, with a little honey and hot drizzle. The hash browns were a tad dry and didn't quite fit the meal I thought, but the chicken biscuits were good. Enjoyed those. BUT one point that was quite annoying: THE GRAVY COST EXTRA! The server tried to upsell me with the sausage gravy (+$3) but when I asked if that cost extra he demurred and said it was just something they asked. He wouldn't actually confirm that. Not cool. I don't like being upsold like it's McDonalds. Eating off my friend's plate I also liked the french fries that came with his steak and cheese sandwich. We also had the cornbread appetizer. Again, if not for that happy hour pricing.. Cornbread is uber cheap so getting four fingers of cornbread felt.. well.. not quite a value match. Service was a little hit or miss. We had a lot of people helping us it seemed, kind of a divided table. Everything is there but I'm just not used to the inflation pricing. Milkshake, cornbread, and the chicken and biscuits, with 20% tip, came out to over $40. This kind of food, at this level of service, .. I feel like I was overcharged or not given the happy hour pricing on something. This just didn't feel like $40 for one person. And they want to do everything on the machine and you don't actually get a paper receipt or a bill unless you ask for one. Which you should. I guess bottom line: Ted's is expensive for it's class and offerings, so it makes a good date spot, but for regular eating out I think there are places better priced.

We had the burrata, focaccia, and sliders, which ended up being the perfect amount of food to keep us going through three cocktails each. I had the smoky mezcal spicy margarita (SO good), a dirty martini, and a glass of Prosecco. My friend had a custom cucumber cocktail and a couple glasses of wine. Basically, we had a very good time. The playlist was impeccable -- fun and lively without being so loud that you couldn't have an actual conversation. We were there during happy hour and it didn't really get busy until after 7, which made it feel relaxed and easy. I also really appreciated the accessibility. Despite the speakeasy vibe, there is an elevator, so the space is wheelchair accessible, which is a huge plus for me. And the vibes were just 100%. I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in the DMV. Whether you're looking for a fun girls' night, happy hour, somewhere to celebrate, or just a place with genuinely good cocktails and bites, this is definitely worth checking out!

I've been to Salt a few times and have always been pretty impressed, so I was looking forward to…read moreanother visit. This time around, though, I noticed a few inconsistencies that kept it from being another standout experience. Salt has a bit of a speakeasy-ish vibe. There's a sign outside letting you know you've found the place, but once you enter the building, there are several doors to choose from before you actually make your way into the restaurant. It's relatively small and very dark, with a bar and a few high-top tables, some small booths, and a separate room for the main dining area. Definitely atmospheric, but don't expect to be reading a book in here without a flashlight. There's one gender-neutral bathroom downstairs, but Salt guests can also use the bathrooms upstairs at Open Road, which is a nice option. Happy hour runs from 4-7pm, and they have some fun cocktails to try. I started with a vodka martini, which was delicious--although the olives were noticeably too firm. They weren't rock hard, but biting into one was more like biting into a cucumber. The big draw this visit was the $55 prix-fixe menu, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. That's a screaming deal. I went with the pork belly to start, the Wagyu burger with truffle fries for my entrée, and the chocolate cheesecake for dessert. The pork belly was absolutely delicious. Three pieces came with perfectly fried little potato bites, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. I've had the Wagyu burger and fries here before and really enjoyed them, but this time both were noticeably greasy. The burger itself was still good, but the excess grease took away from what had previously been one of my favorite things to order here. The chocolate cheesecake was good, but nothing particularly spectacular. Solid dessert, just not one that had me contemplating ordering a second slice. After dessert, we decided to stick around for a few after-dinner drinks. We tried to order the tawny port, only to find out they were out, so we went with the 10-year port instead. Overall, this was still a good visit. The few inconsistencies didn't detract too much from the experience, and our server was attentive throughout the evening. She was also kind enough to let us keep the table for several hours after we first sat down, which was greatly appreciated. Salt is still a place I enjoy and would return to. Hopefully the next visit brings back some of the consistency I've experienced here before--especially with that burger and fries.
