I stopped by here to watch a College World Series game on a Saturday night. After sitting at the bar for a few minutes trying to signal a wait staffer, nobody ever responded. That's okay. I was probably 20 years older than anybody else in the place and at 68 I'm used to being invisible. But then someone turned the screen I was watching over to another event, so I tried to switch seats to another screen that was showing the CWS game. I found a singleton seat at the bar in front of the game I wanted to see, watched it for a few minutes to be sure no one was sitting there, and started to sit down. As I sidled up to the seat, the young bartender looked me right in the eye and turned around and grabbed a "reserved" sign and put it right in my face. She was aggressively rude for no apparent reason. It would have been more appropriate for her to say, "I'm sorry, sir, but someone is sitting here" (I actually don't think anyone was sitting there). I'd suggest at least some hesitation in going into Bronson Bierhall. I certainly did not find it to be a welcoming -- actually not even a polite -- environment. read more

First time in and enjoyed this place. Lots of outside seating. Great beer selection and large mugs! Yummy pretzels. Cool place to hang out. Only drawback is the parking around it is hard to find. read more

Loved what they've done with the place! Gone is the messy (but fun) days of A-Town, Bronson Bierhall brings a better vibe to this spot in Arlington. Came here on a Friday night, just missing happy hour. Ordered myself a flight and some fries and had a great time hanging out with some friends at one of the communal tables. Live music was loud, so this place would definitely not be a good place to meet people to chat, but my friends and I were still having fun even though we had to practically yell to hear each other. My favorite drink of the night was a pineapple cider they had on tap. Would definitely come back again to check out their happy hour! read more

The vibe here is great- was not a fan of the food. I ordered a classic pretzel, wings, and the cookie. Everything was burnt....

Great beirhall vibes that provides ample seating for large groups as well as outdoor areas for standing or playing corn hole. They provide some pretty good beers with a few 'interesting flavors' for those that may not big beer fans but enjoy more fruity ciders. I have found their food to be hit or miss. The giant pretzels and beer cheese are a great size and can satisfy multiple people! Definitely recommend! However, some of their entrees are not so great bratwurst was a big miss for me. If you are sticking to drinks and appetizers you can't go wrong with Bronson! read more

Fun place and pretty good food. The food and the beer come out quickly and it's easy to order on your phone to your table. Lots of TVs and always a fun crowd. Outside space as well. Can't go wrong here. read more

I had the sausage platter and it was pretty good. 2 others in our group had the snitzel and thought it was good as well. Beer selection was great. The app used to order food was a bit confusing and the reason I took off 1 star. I really do like the idea that you order and pay from the app- very convenient! read more

Great beer selection! The food seems to be fairly tasty. To be honest none of their food choices appealed to me so I didn't order anything for me but my husband was pretty happy with his chicken schnitzel sandwich. I had a bite of it and it was pretty satisfying. Our server was really nice and really knew his beer. Major points for that. Where this place loses points is that it is incredibly loud, the acoustic is awful, it was also very hot inside and the menu is rather small. I would definitely return for happy hour and drinks. read more

Fantastic spot for food and drinks! Good prices. No physical service, everything is done on their mobile website through a QR code which can be annoying to ask for a something not on the menu (napkins, ketchup, boxes, etc) but the tv's and projectors everywhere make it a great place to watch a game or to meet up with friends. read more

This is a great place to gather, eat, and enjoy! They have two outdoor spaces with multiple tables and a very large interior. Pretzels are delicious... and Large! I highly recommend getting one to share! read more

Went to Bronson's soft opening with a friend last night and Mike Codero and his team did not disappoint! I was impressed that they were even able to get the football game on that I requested. Great beer selection, and the food was amazing! Quick service and the food came out right away even though they were busy! The chips and beer cheese were tasty and the Perogies you could tell were home made. Definitely will be back, from start to finish a great experience and the place looks great! read more

Came here to watch the OSU Clemson playoff game (go bucks (which should've had a different outcome but that's a different story)) and loved the atmosphere and vibe here! They have a good selection of drinks and our waiter was super nice and super attentive which I appreciated! Got some ciders and beers and they all tasted good! But my favorite was the pretzel with the beer cheese!!! The pretzel is massive and it tastes amazing!! And with the cheese, it's SO GOOD. Definitely coming back!!! read more

I'm not going to lie, this place has the best german beer and food in the DMV. I recommend this place to any and everyone.

During covid I was looking for a nice place to have a beer outside. Bronson was perfect. There was an open table outdoors with a space heater. The bar staff was quick and the German beer selection was plentiful. read more

Nice pretzels but don't bother watching a football game here (or really any sports game). They won't put it on their TVs no matter how many fans ask. The manager is extremely rude and the drinks are over priced. read more

Excellent food. Had the pub burger and waffle fries tonight. Wish they had Queso dip for my fries but ....this is a German bier hall. The Munich pretzel was a great starter. Great bier selection and my waitress was fantastic. I sat at the bar two nights before and the old fashioned was awesome. The cinnamon Demerara added a nice touch to the drink. read more

I finally had the chance to check out Bronson Bierhall for some happy hour drinks and apps. Once you get past the A-Town reminiscing and nostalgia you realize the space is pretty large and they did a great job remodeling. Atmosphere is great for happy hour and watching some sports, esp with the TVs surrounding the bar. Beer selection was pretty good and decently priced. $16 for 1L or $8 for 1/2L, and happy hour takes two bucks off drafts. The only complaint I'd have is with the food. Perhaps my expectations were too high but the food did not stack up to typical Bavarian cuisine I've had elsewhere. Bratwurst was ok- could've used a broetchen to round out the dish. The pretzel bites were buttery and not at all what I'd want in a pretzel. They also came with a spicy brown mustard and some sort of thousand island dressing for dipping- I'm thinking they gave us the wrong dressing. Other people ordered the large pretzel and that looked solid. That'll probably be what I munch on next time. read more

WORST PLACE TO WATCH THE WORLD CUP. The game started at 2pm. I Went to the bar 3 hours early and every table was unavailable. Nobody was at these tables, but they had signs on them saying "group will be arriving at 1:30." What kind of sports bar let's people reserve every single table the day of a big sporting event like this. Absolutely shameful. Had to walk to O'Sullivans. Honestly thank god I did because that place blows Bronson out of the water. read more

Nice atmosphere but wow, the wait staff does no interaction what so ever. You must order via a QR code at each table and basically the food is "dumped" on your table. There are way better places to go to than BB. The food is OK, the pretzel was good but that was it. read more

I was reading through some of the reviews and if it's the same owner that just rebranded A town, then it makes a lot of sense. What I mean by that is, the food is solid, the bar looks nice inside, but the service isn't good. I went to grab a bite with some buds one night and it had unique and tasty food options. But the service was bad, and it does get unnecessarily loud in there. Like there has to be an acoustics problem or something because it's hard to enjoy company when you can't here them talk. read more

By far worst customer service especially by the (assuming) manager (he was wearing a blue hoodie). He was extremely aggressive to tell me that I am not allowed to eat food to raise my low blood sugar (I'm a diabetic). He snapped at us and didn't give us a time to explain ourselves before he walked away. If their establishment had food, then I would have used their food to up my blood sugar. The lack of accommodation shocked me, especially when the manager was later informed of my situation by my friends. Our group of 6 ordered a round of beers while there, it's not like I showed up with food and didn't purchase anything. I only had to purchase something because they weren't serving any food. There were maybe 20 people in the whole establishment while we were there. With it being so dead, us being paying customers, and us being reasonable and willing to explain, it is unacceptable how I was treated. Not going to return to a place that doesn't have their guests best interest and health in mind. read more

Awesome place! Cold beer great employees and clientele!! One of my favorite places to go!!!

I decided to visit this The Bronsom Bier Hall after reading the reviews on Yelp. My first impression is that I liked the outdoor seating and that the windows rolled up to bring fresh air and openness to the restaurant. I walked in and was not greeted by any of the employees and there are no signs staying 'please Seat Yourself'. So I waited a few minutes at the door just to see if I should find a seat. I decided to go sit at the bar and that's when my negative impression changed. I had a very friendly, yet extremely busy bartender. He gave me some drink suggestions from the selection of beers on draft and took my order. He was wonderful. Wish I could give him a shout-out but he wasn't wearing a name tag. Then I ordered the rotisserie chicken sides and a side/appetizer of roasted brussel sprouts. Both dishes were delicious even though my chicken sliders didn't come with the pickles that it was supposed to have had. They were out of pickles! No big deal, the sliders were good without them too. Ultimately: Seat yourself The bar staff is more friendly than the servers Ask if the have pickles! Recommend giving this place a shot. read more

My significant other and I didn't want to have to cook and risk more leftovers the night before Thanksgiving, so we decided to give Bierhall a try. Normally, I don't like German cuisine or many beers. So, I was a bit nervous. But, it was great! Overall, I'm really glad we did. Atmosphere- When you walk in it's a warm inviting open space great for large groups of people. I loved the how the space is decorated showing exposed tiles and brick different places. There was music and it was lively. I really enjoyed the various music playlist in the beginning of our meal but by the end it had turned to only country music. It was seat yourself by the time we walked in, so we grabbed a cozy table for two. There were groups playing games and TVs playing various sports channels. Food- I got the bratwurst (I mean if I'm going to a German restaurant might as well go all out and get a very German meal). It was amazing! Perfect temperature, presentation, and very tasty. It came with an amazing potato salad as well and a had a pineapple cider to drink. My significant other got a fish sandwich and a German beer he liked. He said both were amazing! Service- Service was ok but we usually have to grab our waiter when we needed him. It was a busy night, but some more attention would have been nice. read more

They serve the most delicious Reuben Sandwich that I have ever had, and I am a connoisseur of Reubens. Both corned beef AND pastrami combine to make a transcendent meat experience. Good beer too. read more

So far I've only had the pretzels, but they are amazing and definitely feed a full table. Usually we come for the beer, and Bronson has a great list of options. I was here for a company party, and loved the place. A lot of charm and good food and beer. The only sour note is the parking garage in the adjoining building. They close at 7:00 p.m. and is closed on the weekends. So if you get locked out on a Friday, you have to pay Atlantic Parking $50 to get someone to come down and let you into the garage. Please avoid that garage. There are better alternatives near by, and will make your experience there much better. read more

Best pretzels in the DMV hands down! This isn't your regular degular type pretzel place either. You'll be surprised by the options !

Cheese stuffed pretzel is to die for. I ordered it through door dash and it came in a pizza box still warm and gooey.

This place was a lot of fun! We went on a Friday night and there was even live music. The venue itself if pretty loud. The pretzels are sooo good and they are huge. We split it with 3 people, and with the pretzel and the beer we were full. read more

Been here twice. If I had to sum up the experience in a word, it would be: Irritating. First time: One table was open on their front patio, so we asked the server if we could have it. He told us to go to the hostess. Within 30 seconds, another guy came from the street and took the table without asking anyone, and the server didn't say anything. The hostess said there was nothing she could do. We asked if there was somewhere else we could sit outside. She got weirdly hostile (we were chill and polite) and said we could stand around their back patio and try to get something if someone else left, but otherwise we'd need to sit inside. We went to the back patio and it was half empty. Second time: They use one of those order-on-your-phone systems, and it just wasn't working for two of us (including me, with a totally normal iPhone). The server said there was nothing I could do except get my stuff at the bar or have someone else order for me. There is no way to ask questions since no one takes your order, so my friend put in an order with a comment describing a change he'd like made and a request that he be notified if the kitchen couldn't do it. 30 minutes later, no food and no communication. The item was still on his tab. Also, the food is pretty meh, but you pay Arlington prices for it. read more

This place was great - great beer and amazing food and quick service. I would have given a 5 if they didn't overcharge my card and then charge me more instead of refunding me. I signed a check for $13 total - got charged $26, I emailed management who responded quickly and said they refunded my card for $13 - great! Except not. I now have a charge on my card for an additional $31...what? I emailed management again. They've either got someone incompetent doing their registers or they haven't figured out how they work yet and have charged me way over what I signed for. Ill go back for the food and beer and great venue - but Im bringing cash and not giving them my card ever again. read more
