Delicious drink and food. and kind staff. Love sitting outdoors to see all the dogs. Everyone is socially distanced. Worked out great! Will be back read more

Decided to try Bronson while I was in the neighborhood. Outdoor and indoor beer garden, shaded, tables plenty of space to social distance. Lots of beer on tap and cocktails and wine. Enjoyed the brats with kraut and potato salad. Really good brats with amazing pretzel bun, grilled peppers and onions. Very yummy. Plenty of vibe and TVs to check out a game with friends or relax and enjoy a Bierhall. I will return. Really need to return and sit outside under the canopy with lights. read more

Pretzel is amazing... fish & chips, potato salad, and schnitzel were very good... good beer selection... pierogis and burgers were just ok (but it is a German style restaurant so...) we will go again... bathrooms were clean and very nicely decorated... I had the club sandwich and my fault I didn't say no mustard bc it kind of took over the flavor of the sandwich... only recommendation I have is to add a sangria to the cocktails bc for non beer drinkers the menu is kind of limited... read more

Bronson Bierhall - Pretzel and beer cheese super yum - New American Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

Service is good so many nice people there, just a bit disappointed because I called for take out wanted a margarita pizza with prosciutto and they said it would be $3 extra for prosciutto. Which I was fine with because I know prosciutto isn't cheap. But when I opened the box you can barely see the Damn prosciutto I don't even think they put a full slice of prosciutto on there. Looks like they took half a slice and ripped it a part and put it on there. It's honestly ridiculous $3 for half a slice. This is the first time I ask for prosciutto on my pizza and it looks like that lol. Anyway pizza tasted good not bad! read more

This was tough to give a rating. The atmosphere and beer were great! The food was not good. Stay away from the sandwiches. I did not try the brats, so maybe they were better. My sandwich was hard, dry and tasteless. We had the Reuben and Cubano. Food service is very slow! read more

Love this place. Great beer and good food.pretzels are the best. Highly recommend for

Daniel is one of the friendliest guys you will meet. Amazing hospitality and great to to talk sports with. Fantastic bar with or without him

Great spot pre and post covid!! Becky, the hostess was so accommodating as we wanted to be close to another party- thank you Becky!! The manager, Lugo, came by and checked on our table where we were happy to report everything was awesome. The chicken sandwich was great and let me tell you- THAT MAC AND CHEESE DOE! Well done!!! One gripe- what's up with the bread and butter pickles?? Your girl needs that dill! read more

Beer is good. Bread is scarce. Asked for more and "you'll have to pay for another order"... lol read more

This is a first for me. I do not do those angry 1 star reviews. Well. I was about to. After an uncomfortable experience at Punch Bowl Anti-Social probably because I am not 22 or know someone who works there I walked here to give them a try. You owe Matt and Luigi at Bronson a big Thank You Punch Bowl people. Their welcoming attitude, great food and beer calmed me down. Delicious bratwurst, meatballs and great service. Do yourself a favor and get to Bronson instead of being ignored by youngsters who were busy having fun with their friends. Welcome to the neighborhood guys. Keep it up ! read more

Great beers. Incredible pretzels. Awesome times. Highly recommended. The team did a fantastic job with the conversion of the space into the Bierhall. read more

It gets pretty crowded even past happy hour on weekdays, so be ready to wait or squeeze between people at communal tables. I was impressed with the attentive service, selection of drinks, and quality of food here. My pear cider was delicious and refreshing, and the nachos and bourbon wings were terrific, sharable starters. The stuffed pretzel was enormous and familiar but too filling for our group to finish. It gets extremely loud here. I could barely hear what the person across the table was shouting. Not the best space to catch up or have a conversation, but a lively time if you're looking to grab happy hour and watch the game. read more

The blue crab pretzel was f**kin fantastic! Feeds 2 people. Nice clean and welcoming establishment

Bronson is great for catching a game or just catching a buzz. It's on the pricier side, but they have the big liter beer glasses and good food. Outdoor area is great in warmer weather because they have games and lots of seating. Very close to the ballston metro which is a big plus read more

The beer selection was good but service was slow and we continually didn't get what we asked for. The live music was great but It was much too loud to even hear myself try to talk to the person next to me. The pretzels were great! In the end our bill was also incorrect and unfortunately we had waited so long that we just quickly paid it to finally leave. This place is close to where I live so I was really hoping for more. read more

Finally a really cold beer and a huge pretzel covered in cheese with a great dipping sauce. They have a covered porch which makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Look forward to our next visit. read more

Spacious beer hall with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a good selection of beers, and the service is pretty quick. Welcoming atmosphere and dog friendly which is a plus! read more

Visited with high expectations, as the interior looked great! And while I understand this is a new restaurant a few unfortunate items are setting this place back (but they can be fixed!). Noise Level: The atmosphere in the hall is great, but far too loud; it was hard to hear the person next to me while just sitting at the bar. Install a few sound dampers in the celling and it should really help cut down on the noise level. Beer prices: 12 bucks for a large beer!? No thanks. I regreted paying that much. Menu: Differences existed between the paper menu and the one on the video screen, especially with the hefeweizen Weihenstephaner. So make sure you double to check both to see exactly the style of hefeweizen you are ordering. Credit Card readers: Not sure what was going on here, but it seemed like a lot of the bartenders weren't properly trained? Lots of pulling the cards in & out of the chi reader and restarting the process. Which caused my buddies card to get declined... Pretzels looked great, but didn't try them... had to escape the noise and I spent all of my allowance on the first beer! read more

Ideal location in heart of Ballston. Great service. Great menu selection. Food was excellent, definitely a winner!!

The drinks were good and the place is really cool but the service was terrible. We did go on the opening night so take that with some salt. The server got a bunch of our orders wrong and then the bill wasn't even close to being correct. My friends really liked the pretzel but that was all the food we got. Hopefully with some more experienced staff it improves read more

Convenient location near Ballston Metro station and modern decor with overpriced ($10 soft pretzel?!), disappointing food. I had the chicken schnitzel sandwich ($13), which contained fried chicken strips with a thin layer of iceberg lettuce, two razor-thin tomato slices, 3 pickle slices, and mayo on a cheap generic-supermarket-brand hamburger bun. It also came with french fries, which were good. The others at my table indicated that their lunches were also mediocre. They appear to have a good beer selection, but the food isn't worth a second visit. No, this is not a German restaurant. It's American food with a German veneer. Just because they label chicken strips as "Schnitzel fingers" doesn't make it German food. read more

Wow! My partner and I both ordered the pub burger and wow it was so delicious! We were very impressed. My side salad with cranberries and walnuts was also great. The best part of our experience was Daniel who was taking care of us. I ordered a cider that I did not like, and Daniel took care of everything to make sure I was satisfied with my drink. Amazing service! read more

Bronson Bierhall - New American Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

A new bar bites and drink option in Virginia Square, Bronson offers good (though pricey) food and a thorough drinks menu. Been here a few times and it is pretty packed starting at 5:30/6, so I'd recommend coming either before then or after 7:30. I'd also stick to the appetizers since the full entrees were a bit disappointing and way too expensive. However please get the pretzel (either the stuffed or plain, though the original is my preference). The beer cheese is incredible and the pretzel is really well baked/salted. read more

Good vibes for evening out in Arlington but the live music is too loud! You basically have to shout all night to the person next to you to have a conversation. Live music is good but screaming all night isn't worth it. Basic beer selection so it's decent. read more

I love their food! Especially the pretzels they are so big and delicious! I also really like the atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly. One of my favorite go-to spots. read more

Great selection of beer and I love what they've done with the place since A-town. It's a lot more open with more seating and games. Our server was very knowledgeable on her beers too and was recommending great new breweries for us to try. Will be back! Would be great to watch games at top there are a lot of TVs. read more

A local favorite that will always get a 5 star review in my book. You can't go wrong with any of their beers, the giant pretzels or pizzas (sausage and Brussels sprout is my fav). Pet friendly outdoor seating is also super convenient, my puppy loves it here! read more

Great place. Indoor / outdoor area near bar is great people watching. Had the Ruben and a couple of the pilsners which were very good. Noticed the steel tip dart board but didn't try it. Not many places have these any more. Very attentive staff. read more

Really cool spot close to the Ballston metro! I've been a few times and each time it was pretty crowded but we were able to find a table outside. It's a good place to come for beer and apps and to hang out with friends. The patio is great for when it's nice out, although the inside has great ambiance as well. Service was a bit slow so we might stick to sitting at the bar in the future. read more

Bronson Bierhall is a great place for a drink after work or hang out spot. There's ample seating for large groups with fairly accommodating staff. It seems like a popular hang out spot during the warm summer/spring months they offer plenty of outdoor seating as well. They offer a large selection of beers, both draft and bottle. They have a happy hour that goes until 7pm on weekdays. I ordered the chicken tender and they came out sizzling hot and with a side of shoestring fries. It was your typical bar food, but still good. Bronson definitely was a great replacement of Atown, which has brought together the Arlington crowd. read more

Bronson gets 3.5 stars from me. This is a newish Bierhall which took over where A-Town use time be with a German/European feel and vibe. They also have live entertainment on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. It has a large outdoor space equipped with ping pong tables, games etc. The indoor space is just as big with ample seating and tables with a large bar with ample seating as well. There are TV's all around so you won't miss the game you are trying to watch. Their drink menu is too big to list, but they have a very good variety and extensive drink list. They have have decently large food menu as well with pretzels, schnitzel and various German/European fair. I am a big cider fan and they had two ciders I have not tried before, a pear cider (Rekordelig) and pineapple cider (Austin Eastciders). Both were good and easy to drink. If you are looking for a new place to hang out and grab a few drinks, give Bronson a try. read more

This place has a good selection German and American craft beer. This includes both bottled and draft beer. The beers cost around $9-$10 per pint. You may have to wait for a table because this bar gets very crowded. This bar has a lot of fun bar games like shuffleboard, darts and ping pong. There are plenty of TVs for watching sports. *note: This is a pretty big sports bar atmosphere. When I came the Bills and Pats were playing almost everyone in the bar was watching and cheering with every play. read more

Loud/rowdy but so was A-town. Bronson is usually crowded, but it's a fun spot to hangout. I only drink sour beers, so I appreciate that they always have a sour on draft. I usually come just for drinks and bar food snacks (which have always been fine) so I can't speak to the entrees. In my opinion this is a great addition to Ballston. Friendly staff. Also love that they often have live music. read more

We reserved a table for a large group and I couldn't believe how unbelievably rude the food runner was to members of our party. It ended up being a very regrettable experience and we'd never go back. read more

Popped in for beer. Chad was fantastic and engaging. Be back in a few months. Wide variety of beer selections and great recommendations.

Bronson Bierhall recently opened in Arlington and it was an interesting experience. In the case that you're probably just interested in eating, you are immediately asked to open a tab to place a food order. I was first told by a server that this is was being implemented because of the prevalence of people ordering and leaving their orders unpaid. A manager told me after that since the dining area is "open seating", they put this procedure in place because of that fact. It felt awkward to place a card to open a tab to order some food. Aside from that, the food was decent and the ambiance was ok for a Saturday night (live music wasn't bad either). The awkwardness of the food tab definitely made it less than what it could have been. read more

The food is good, but it's not German. The place itself was nice. Bar right at the front door that extends to the other wall, a lot of sitting places, very good vibes, and loud as hell. I liked that you could order off the menu via phone and the food came out in 30 min. Everything was cooked through but I was just a little disappointed that there were no actual German flavors in the food. read more

Fun neighborhood replacement for A Town. Decent food and good beer selection. I'm not the easiest to impress in terms of German food, since I spent some time living in Berlin many years ago, but the food quality was definitely better than expected. Staff was courteous and responsive. I look forward to coming back. The only caveat (which could be good or bad) was that it was kind of loud, due to the open seating and table setup. But I could definitely see that being a plus for large parties. read more
