A lovely new gem in the Courthouse area! Opening day was today, and I can't wait to go back once the line dies down. Maman is already a winner in my book because they have Zucchini Bread! It's been sooo hard to find a coffee spot in the DMV that has it, so fair warning -- if it's sold out when you visit... it's probably me!

Ma'am you better check out this new location of Maman! Located under the Commodore near the Courthouse metro, I cab definitely see this spot becoming a staple. There are tons of seating and great natural light. Maman is a chain and I appreciate the consistency across locations. I tried the seasonal honey butter latte which was delightful and I liked the cornbread component. I also tried the cookie (free for first 100 people) which was solid. Overall, definitely recommend checking this place out!

Mama was pretty good, I was so excited to see Martha Stewart here in person for her breakout collab. It's probably the most interesting and notable thing she has done ever. She is making a great comeback. However, it looks like they ran out of plates because everything was served on a piece of wood. Maybe it's vintage driftwood from the Potomac river? Gave a rustic, woody aroma to my meal.

Maman is perfect for a Sunday morning breakfast, it's peaceful around 9 AM but then it quickly fills up! I got the decaf iced banana pudding latte, make sure to stir before drinking if you like your coffee! I added a pack of Stevia for extra sweetness. I also had their signature croissant waffles which were delicious, definitely met my expectations of a croffle. I didn't have the opportunity to try the avocado toast or the cappuccino but both looked very appetizing! Definitely check it out if you're walking along the beautiful street of Court House!

My girlfriend and I were on a walk and decided to stop in for a quick breakfast. We both ordered their croissant breakfast sandwich which has candied bacon, "tomato jam" (aka ketchup), eggs and cheese. She ordered their honey butter latte and I ordered a plain black coffee. You pay at the counter and they bring your food to your table. The service was fine and ambiance is pretty chill. The decor is supposed to evoke fairy garden vibes with flowery bushes wrapped around the pillars and ceiling. I didn't care for it but that's just me. The food was fine but nothing spectacular. The coffee was decent. I hope to go back to try their pastries and mixed coffee drinks soon. Glad to have something new in the area.

I found this place on Yelp after googling a great place to get a matcha latte in DC. The vibe in the restaurant is incredible! The flowers and set up is beautiful, super great place to have a brunch or just a chat with the girls. I saw a lot of people reading and doing work which I thought was great too. I think that a lot of the food is super pretty, especially the pastries, but I will say that I feel like they were prettier than they tasted. The croissant cube had great flavor, but it was incredibly dry and hard to cut/eat. I ended up not finishing it at all. The papa's breakfast bowl was great! I got scrambled eggs instead of over easy. It was a lot of potatoes though! I highly recommend probably splitting it with somebody or just taking it to go because I couldn't finish it. The blueberry lavender iced matcha latte was the best thing I had there. I actually ordered another one to go along with their chicken Caesar wrap for lunch. That was also fantastic. I also had a chocolate chip cookie, which I loved, and then tried their croissant as well to see if I could just get a redemption for a croissant cube. It wasn't too bad, but still kind of dry. I would love to go back again to actually sit down for more than just an hour as I was kind of in a hurry.

This new spot is the perfect addition to the courthouse neighborhood! The service is very friendly, and the food is incredible. Beyond all else, the space is gorgeous and has an amazing energy.

This recently opened Maman, located very close to the Courthouse Metro Station in Arlington, VA, features a spacious interior with high ceilings, numerous seating options, and Maman's signature floral decoration on the ceilings and the top of wooden frames, which makes it feel like having pastries and food in a Provence-style flower garden. The cafe filled up quickly right after opening, showing its popularity. The breakfast was fantastic, and the pastries and coffee were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food we tried was outstanding. Caitlin's Breakfast Wrap, made with scrambled eggs, Gruyère cheese, candied bacon, arugula, pickled onions, and roasted tomatoes in a gluten-free wrap, was a perfectly satisfying dish that tasted so good. It was even better with Maman's chipotle aioli served on the side. The avocado tartine with salmon tasted healthy and flavorful, with bell tomatoes and smoked salmon, and it was enhanced by a sprinkle of sea salt and pumpkin seeds for added texture and nutrition. Martha Stewart's caramel cream sugar bun was perfect, featuring a not overly sweet but creamy salted caramel filling in a sugar-crusted croissant. The maple chocolate laminated brioche was equally delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness from its maple dark chocolate cream, and paired well with a cafe latte.

Stopped by Mamon on a Friday morning, and it instantly reminded me of their Union Market location tons of windows, bright, airy, and so aesthetically pleasing. Went to work and it was not too crowded, there's a long communal table that's clearly designed for people who want to settle in with a laptop, plus lots of different seating options throughout. Food & Drinks: I ordered the Vanilla Butter Latte with oat milk with their sweet corn cold foam and was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet . Definitely recommend! For food, I got the open-faced omelet with egg whites and candied bacon. The flavors were great and the candied bacon was a standout (sweet and flavorful, though I wish it had been a touch crispier). The roasted tomatoes were more like sun-dried tomatoes, so a bit chewy, but still tasty. The salad on top was refreshing and helped balance everything out. A little oily overall, but still something I'd order again. They don't do full table service you order at the counter, and they'll bring your food over but the staff was super friendly and attentive. The pastries looked amazing, so I'll definitely be back to try those next time. I didn't notice any alcoholic drinks or brunch-specific options, but I'll come back during happy hour to see if they expand the menu. Overall, this place is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Cute, bright, great food and drinks, and an ideal place to work or catch up with friends.

Despite the seating situation, we enjoyed our brunch and there's enough variety on the menu that I'd come back to sample some of the other dishes. When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light.
