I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Eclairons! There's a huge selection of breakfast pastries, macarons, cookies, and lunch sandwiches, along with some made-to-order breakfast options like the Egg Mayo Sando and Soujok Egg Wrap. I ordered the pistachio latte, ham & cheese croissant, regular coffee, and a slice of carrot cake. The pistachio latte was very good, although a little on the sweet side. The carrot cake was a standout. The slice was huge, moist, and not overly sweet or heavy on the coconut. There were bits of toffee (I think!) around the outer frosting that added a delicious little crunch. The croissant itself was flaky and delicious, but the ham and cheese filling was pretty minimal. Good thing I wasn't too hungry! If you're looking for something more substantial, the lunch sandwiches they were putting out looked like they would do the trick. The interior is bright and spacious, with a high bar along the wall, several chairs, a high-top table, and smaller tables throughout. There's also a patio for nice-weather days. One thing to watch out for: some of the tables wobble. I discovered this the hard way when I accidentally spilled my wife's coffee just trying to sit down. Apparently, the table wanted to participate in breakfast too. The staff was friendly, and with so many options to choose from, there's definitely something for everyone. I'd happily come back to try more of their pastries and sandwiches. A great first visit with plenty of tasty options, though I'd like to see a little more ham and cheese in that croissant! read more

This is a bright beautiful bakery full of eclairs, pastries, and cakes to your hearts content. If you are a pistachio lover, you won't regret coming here as there are plenty of pistachio options. I got the pistachio cream eclair and the Dubai mousse cake. I liked the eclair better, the cream inside was light and fluffy and not too sweet. The pistachio flavor wasn't incredibly strong but it was there. I didn't love the Dubai cake as much, it was much heavier and more decadent compared to the eclair. The mousse layers also tasted a bit "cream-cheesy" to me which I'm not personally a fan of. My friend got the pistachio tres leches and walnut dacquoise which was highly recommended by the staff behind the counter. The pistachio tres leches was very unique but I'd say there was very little or no pistachio flavor, it was more like almond extract flavor. The walnut dacquoise was refreshing and very walnutty. Tl;dr: this place is cute, but this is a place I would go once and be fine not coming back anytime soon. Food - my friend and I both got eclairs. Given their given price points, I thought they were steep - even for Nova standards. The cherry blossom eclair was nothing to rave about, but it did satisfy that sweet craving everyone has once in a while. I was finishing a meeting and it was time for second breakfast. I noticed this place had Patisserie on the sign and said let's go. There was plenty of seating; hard to make a choice but I ended up choosing the Ham and Swiss Croissant and a cup of coffee. Coffee was great Croissant was great. Only issue, I asked for the croissant to be warmed and they must have a communication issue, served it cold. I would have complained but after I ordered there was a line. One of my favorite cafes ever to spend a couple hours!! I always get the pistachio latte with oat milk and it's super delicious, flavor is strong and tastes like real pistachio. Customer service was friendly... one of the staff even helped us with taking pitcures. One thing I must note is that the prices here are VERY steep... even for DC/NOVA standards. The pastries here are the best in Arlington. (What happened to the light as a cloud Swiss bread though) The espresso drinks are superb. But the shakshuka! What a let down! A tiny portion with an okay but way to liquidy tomato sauce punctuated by the occasional depressed chickpea. I chose to add the soujouk which brought the price up from $15 to $18 - the extra $3 brought me four razor thin slices plopped on top, with no effort to blend the flavors. Go for the pastry. Do not have the shakshuka. The shakshuka at Tatte is eons better - and it's nothing to write home about! UPDATE: Eclairons promptly and kindly refunded me for the shakshuka - so I'm upping my rating to 5 stars. read more

All of the pastries from here are hand crafted, and I've been fortunate enough to try several of them. The best pie is called the Alexandria and it consists of a Macaroni base and then they add layers of vanilla genioise. Then they top it off with white chocolate pistachio glaze. My favorite on-the-go treat is their chocolate eclair that consist of chocolate pastry cream and a special chocolate fondant icing on top. Their cakes are also amazing and the prices reflect that. I've also had some of their creamy dulce leche alfajor cookies. Any pastry that you get from here cannot go without their awesome lattes or cappuccinos. Excellent French pastries! I tried few things; hard to resist. The Ferrero Rocher eclair was great, exactly like a Ferrero chocolate turned into eclair! The cherry ricotta cheese pastry was amazing, made with cerises griottes (sour cherry), just like in Paris. Probably should've stuck with the eclairs... Stopped in on Friday morning and this place was busy! They had tons of seating and people were chatting and hanging out. They also have parking in front (but usually fills up quick). I got a latte and a zaatar croissant. The latte was fine, nothing to write home about but it was pretty pricey. The Za'atar croissant was similar in spirit to the one at Yellow, but the filling wasn't evenly distributed. I honestly thought it had no filling until halfway through. Overall, it was eclair to me that this place had some good options but I wasn't wowed. I probably wouldn't put this one on the bucket list. read more

This bakery and cafe shop looked like it came out of a Christmas movie with it being hidden and well decorated. The options of pastry's and eclairs were endless. My coworkers and I enjoyed the options and each of us ordered a pastry and coffee to take with us. I ordered the pistachio eclair and it was a pastry that made you want more. I so desperately want to love you, Eclairons. In my opinion, it's too expensive to not be scrutinized. The staff isn't welcoming or kind 85% of the time. My drink (a vanilla, oat milk latte) has been wrong 50% of the time. But... When my order is right? The coffee here can be extraordinary. It's quicker than a few of the other spots nearby. The food is fresh and the pastries are gorgeous. The inside decor is beautiful year round. I'll continue to visit because it's convenient and I do love when it's right, but dang, I'd love to see better customer service for a $7 drink! The onion mostarda adds just the right pop of sweetness and tang, and the arugula keeps everything bright and fresh. And then there's the steak sauce -- unexpected, a little bold, and exactly what ties the whole thing together. Every layer has intention. Every bite tastes like someone cared. Cake slices, whole cakes, tarts / bars / cookies, and their claim to fame - eclairs! They have ~10 eclair flavors but I tried the cookie butter eclair which was absolutely delectable.
