It's a decent place for breakfast, with a couple of caveats. I've only eaten here once, so your experience may vary. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich, with fresh fruit, and coffee. The coffee was a little on the sour side for me, probably a light or medium roast. I know some like that, but if I have to put creamer in it, it's not for me. The croissant sandwich was big, and very tasty. It didn't hold together all that well, so ended up eating it with a knife and fork, but still good. The fresh fruit was a little disappointing. If fresh means underripe, then it was spot on. The melons were as hard as a rock. The service was good, the pricing a little high ($17 for a sandwich and a small bowl of fruit). But then again it is Temecula.

We've dined at various Broken Yolk locations over the years. Each has the same diverse menu and same great menu options. Visited this location many times and have had Vanessa and recently Angie as servers. Both were exceptional. Always kept coffee piping hot. If it wasn't, they fixed it no questions asked. It can get crazy busy any day of the week. Be prepared for a wait especially on weekends. The team keeps the wait as short as possible tho. Once seated, the team is always personable and friendly with prompt service. Keep on Yelp'n!

From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. We were seated immediately with no wait, which set the tone for a smooth and enjoyable visit. The restaurant itself has a beautiful, cozy vibe--simple décor done just right. Nothing feels overdone, yet it creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless and clearly well maintained, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. Parking was also a breeze with plenty of spaces available in the shopping complex. Now for the food--absolutely outstanding across the board. The chilaquiles were a highlight, featuring an amazing salsa with just the right depth of flavor and perfectly seasoned carne asada that complemented the dish beautifully. The tostadas were cooked to perfection: crispy and sturdy, holding up well before soaking in the salsa while still maintaining great texture. The avocado toast had an excellent consistency and was mildly seasoned in a hearty, satisfying way that let the freshness shine without overpowering it. For something sweet, the Nutella crepes were spot on. They were cooked just right--neither overdone nor undercooked--and had the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. Paired with a Bloody Caesar, which offered a fun and tasty twist on the classic Bloody Mary, the meal felt complete. The drink had a nice, mild spiciness, though it was a bit light on the alcohol--but still very enjoyable. A special shoutout to our server, Vanessa, who truly elevated the experience. She checked on us consistently without being intrusive, was always nearby when we needed something, and our food arrived incredibly fast. Her attentiveness and friendly attitude made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, this place absolutely delivers--great food, excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a hassle-free visit. We'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

Food was okay, took awhile to get served. Felt like waiters ignored us, I asked for a plate and never got one. HUGE portions, I would definitely split or share! Mimosa flight was delicious and something different to try (hence the 3 stars).

This cost fifty bucks, before tip. The coffee and sausages were the best part.

Tried this place for my birthday (brunch) last Saturday, and I'd honestly call it Mid. For being busy, the wait wasn't bad; they had a nice large location and moved people through. I liked our waitresses. That being said...I found it to be quite pricey: fifty bucks for 2 breakfasts with 1 coffee, before tip??? (Spoiler alert: the coffee and the sausage were the best parts.) Granted, the pancakes were GYNORMOUS...but TBH had no flavor. Hubby said the same about his biscuits. I actually took most of my pancakes home, and ended up just tossing them out...which is EXTREMELY RARE for me; I HATE wasting food. We told the hostess staff it was my birthday, and it basically got a yawn ( unlike the fanfare at other places). We won't be back bc there are so many other places that are so much better, for equal or much less money. Not horrible but definitely not great.

Miguel provided amazing service and food was excellent! I went on a Monday morning with a friend and there was no wait, but the weekends are another story. Get there early! I had the salmon avocado toast and added two pouched eggs. My friend, ordered American breakfast which is like a grand slam except on a higher quality scale and comes with a giant buttermilk pancake, that is off the hook, scary good. So, if you're on a low carb diet, save that baby for me! Haha. It's basically dessert after breakfast for two. They have a breakfast bar in case a table or booth is not your vibe. The restaurant was clean and booth very comfortable, windows all around with plenty of natural light. I recommend all try this restaurant at least once since there's something for everyone on the menu which consists of more than breakfast. Oh, they serve medium roast Lavazza coffee which I bought at the store for home because it tastes so smooth. Enjoy and good eats!

I came here the other day to enjoy a late lunch hour. This place offers brunch options; which could be enjoyed until 2pm. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak n Eggs with a side order of pancakes. This order was enough to feed 2 people and the brunch option was really decent. I think this restaurant is better than Denny's or IHop as well. Our waiters were really nice and there is plenty or parking. I would say the place is clean, but the workers might need to check the seats for some spilled food.

EGGS-EMPLARY FOOD! WOW, I loved my Mile High Omelette with green peppers, onion, ham, and cheese. It was light and very satisfying, perfect for brunch. I visited this location for the first time with my Mom and we had a blast. My meal came with wheat toast and a side of fresh fruit. My Mom and I asked for a side order (my favorite part of the meal) of short stack pancakes. The fluffy short stack pancakes (quantity of 2) were topped with banana slices and a bit of butter. Everything tasted great! I love that Broken Yolk has fun glasses for their drinks, my orange juice came in a tall, thin glass with a perfectly sized straw. Overall, the restaurant was tidy and our silverware was ready upon arrival. My only suggestion is that the restroom should be checked more frequently, there was toilet paper on the floor and a mess of water by the sink. The manager was very attentive! Additionally, our waiter was super polite and friendly. Shout out to Josue P., he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great short stack recommendation. I loved the professional staff and service. Broken Yolk is near the freeway and not too far from the Temecula Promenade, it's centrally located.

Came here as a pit stop to a wedding rehearsal to pick up some breakfast. We ordered the fiesta burrito - it is a wet breakfast burrito so we ordered the salsa on the side. I can't put my finger on what was missing but it was overall mediocre leaving me craving something with more flavor. I was deciding between this burrito or a breakfast sandwich and I immediately regretted my decision in choosing this burrito. Staff were very friendly, we were greeted immediately and they kept checking in on us as we waited for our food. Very attentive.

When we received our breakfast, the hashbrowns were burnt full of oil in our breakfast was cold. The manager actually said I like my hashbrowns like that so she refunded us the meals because both me and my husband's breakfast were cold, and we sat down before people behind us and they got their food and we're almost done by the time we got our breakfast we ordered eggs hashbrowns, toastthat should be done less than five minutes I do not recommend the broken yolk. They are a crappy place and especially to pay 1695 for a breakfast is ridiculous. read more

Hungry in Temecula/Murrieta area I stopped by here since the place we originally wanted to go to was closing down. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was average at best. It looked like a nice clean establishment and breakfast is their forte. Just eating here since it was convenient. Probably won't be back. read more

Love coming here but when we recently found out they no longer have gluten free bread it is a bummer due to my wife having celiac disease it was one of the few places to offer a few more options for her. But we were told they stopped offering it due to a change in ownership. If they advertised it on the menu I'm sure you would get more people ordering vs only being a special request. Or that's how it use to be before they took it off. read more

Sat at the counter on a busy Saturday morning. I was flying solo as this is my 'norm' now. Eggs Benedict is also my standard breakfast item to try and this place offers a variety of styles for any guest. I ordered the Sope with Chorizo it wasn't bad. My server was slammed I think but she did her best to keep an eye on me. The parking lot was packed but I parked over behind the location near Aaron Bros. it was fine. TERRIBLE SERVICE and SUBPAR FOOD! So so many issues...and this is the norm I am sure. Waited 45 min to sit. Once sat, was ignored for 20 min before the busboy asked if we had our drinks. So he took that order. Mocha tastes like watery packet hot cocoa...just junk! The server took two tables that showed up after us first. So we are in 20 min before our order was even taken. It took ONE HOUR to get our breakfast. The thing that is the kicker is the food. Crepes were thick and COLD. Eggs were dry, not over easy. Just a basic meal and it was terrible. Overpriced for what you get and just crappy food. I will never return and will surely tell others to pass this place on by. Instead of the Broken Yolk, I call this the Broken Joke! read more

This is only the second time we have been to a BYC restaurant, I wasn't particularly impressed with the food at the San Diego location, but we were in the area so decided to give it another go. We were seated almost immediately, there was no one ahead of us and two stars only because the service was outstanding. The workers are very friendly, quick and attentive which is a huge plus. Hubby and I both ordered the NY steak and eggs and while we know it's not a steakhouse, our steaks looked like pounded out dog food. Although we ordered the same meal, we also ordered completely different sides and they managed to somehow switch our steaks. I had his well done on my plate while he had my medium rare. Half the steak was gristle too which for $17 a plate is just not worth it at all. Again, not impressed with the food, I guess the location doesn't seem to matter. The kicker was we checked in via Yelp to take advantage of the 10% off and he didn't realize until we got to the car that our total was still the same. I checked our bank account to verify and sure enough we did not get the discount. Very sad as he generously tipped over 20% too. read more

I've been coming here for years and unfortunately this place is on the downward. Food is hit or miss... the benedicts have always been good but the veggies in the omelets are always too undercooked to be shoved in an omelette. Wait time... and I don't mean the wait to be seated... has been worsening. In the past few months, I've been here at 730am on a Tuesday, 9am on a Friday and 10am on a Saturday and each time I've had a long wait to order, a decent wait to get the food and a looooongg wait to get the bill. Last time we waited over 15 minutes to get the check. The servers are nice but my water sits there empty with no refill and no server in sight. Given the consistency in my observations in coming on different days/times, I don't know if it's a server issue or if the servers are being overseated and are overwhelmed in general. The Palm Springs location in the heart of downtown does not have any of these issues... read more

Dined here for the first time a few weeks ago and I was imoressed. They have such an extensive menu, and though others may not like it, I think it's good so that you're not forced to just choose something you might not really like. Service was on point. You want to try and get in early because it gets pretty packed. Food: There pancakes are ginormous and their portions are amazing. We had to take the rest of orders home. If you choose to eat pancakes, totally worthy the price, though you might bet startled at first. Pricing: Great value all around. This is a MUST of you're in the area! read more

Yikes...I have to do the community a favor and write a review. I've had good experiences at the Orange County location in the past, so I was pretty shocked at the terrible food quality here. Corned beef hash looks/tastes/smells like cat food (I'm not kidding). Eggs are rubbery, and pancakes are sad. Even the syrup was bland and sad. Bummer! read more

Getting my car worked on at the Honda dealership. For breakfast my wife wanted to bring me to the broken yolk Cafe. The food was good. The atmosphere felt homey. I had the sopes egg Benedicts and they were good. Did not care too much for the red sauce they added to the dish but overall it was really good. Highly recommended it ! read more

Well, I was in there today, and while I was waiting to be seated, I saw a sign by the register that said you can add bottomless mimosas to any entree for $12.99. If that's no longer the case, it should probably be removed.

We had an amazing experience at Broken Yolk this past Saturday morning! We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to give this place a try -- and we're so glad we did. First off, the restaurant itself was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back since we visit the area often. Now, the real reason for this review: Josue, our server, absolutely knocked it out of the park. We were a party of 18 on a busy morning, and he handled everything flawlessly. He took all of our orders without any issues and got everything to us quickly and accurately. What really impressed us was his attention to detail -- refills, extra napkins, straws -- nothing was overlooked. Even with such a large group, he managed to split all of our checks without any confusion or delays. Time flew by, and before we knew it, two hours had passed! The team and I just want to say a huge thank you to Josue for his incredible service. He made our visit truly memorable. We appreciate it so much -- thank you, Josue! His welcoming attitude set the tone for a fantastic breakfast. As for my server, Josué, he was exceptional! His attentive and friendly personality made for the perfect restaurant experience. He made some great recommendations, the Sope Benedict being one of them. He anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. My drink was always refilled and the food came out perfectly timed. I come here about every 2-3 weeks with my fiance for breakfast. We immediately were seated and greeted by our usual server Brittany. She is always very welcoming and has suggestions on what to get if your stuck between the menu! Javier served us our drinks and made friendly small talk. We were served our food by Kayla and Tyrus, which came out super quick! They always make sure to ask if we need anything else before we begin eating, which if you forget a sauce or need dipping ranch, they got your back. Overall, the staff and environment of this Broken Yolk is one of a kind. Its a phenomenal place to enjoy a family meal or just get a meal solo. If you do go, I would suggest the Ranchero skillet (as suggested by out server Brittany). The food is always egg-cellent and you will never leave here not satisfied. Me and my fiancé love the broken yolk it's our number one go to place to have breakfast. A lot of the servers know who we are and what we order because we go there so often. We've always had a great experience here. This is place is seriously amazing. We always order the golden state benedict and a Bloody Mary. We recently had a super awesome server named Julie, we were so excited because she was once our server at a sushi restaurant long before and when we seen her working at the broken yolk we knew we were going to have amazing service. She is the sweetest and kept checking in on us to see how we were doing, she knows how to treat her guest and goes above and beyond for them. My kids and I love eating here for breakfast. Today 9/15/24 we went in and had breakfast. The food was great and the service was amazing. Today was the second time we got Brittany the waiter. Let me tell you that she is an amazing person/waiter. She is on top of her job. Always on top of keeping your drinks refilled. I love that she does her job always with a smile on her face, even when they are really busy. Always coming by every 5 mins to check everything is good. Now the food is delicious. The chilaquiles are to die for, I love the red sauce one and my son loves the green sauce one. The mocha latte is delicious. We decided to go to Broken Yolk after our son's soccer game. We were pleasantly surprised that our wait was only going to be 20 mins. We actually waited about 10 or 15 mins so it was great. We were seated and our waitress came over quickly and she was very attentive. The food was great. I inhaled my sopes. The wife had red chilaquiles. She usually gets green and absolutely loved them. My mother in law had a skillet and it was great. My son had a pancake and bacon. He usually doesn't eat it all but he ate most of it. Overall we love coming to Broken Yolk. We have frequented broken Yolk many times without disappointment. Hoe er that changed today. We sat at counter (first time) and had horrible service. Took way too long to get menus. Then way too long to place order. My food came out way past the time my wife was finished. Requests for refill of tea or extra dressing were so slow to happen it was as if the server had not been there. When reminded she acted like we were unreasonably asking her to help us. She was the first to blame others. So disappointing. If this had been out first visit we would not be back. Fortunately all other visits were nearly ideal. We stopped in this past Sunday morning for breakfast to try the new place in town. We were very disappointed. I ordered poached eggs with french toast and bacon, my mother ordered the same special with scrambled eggs while the kids both ordered grilled cheese. The poached eggs were barely room temperature while my moms scrambled eggs and the grilled cheese were cold. The service was terrible as we both had coffee and no one stopped by to refill our cups until AFTER she came by to pick up my money for the check. So glad we decided to stop by our local broken yolk in Temecula! Our champagne, food, and ambiance were great. It would not have been the same without our amazing server Brittany! She was so patient with our 13 month old, while he had several melt downs. Everything was brought out on time, and she checked on us frequently. Since I requested the hollandaise sauce on the side, she offered the Sriracha on the side which I'm grateful for because I over read that in the description & was planning on sharing it with our son. We used to come here all of the time without any issues. Unfortunately, service has become unfriendly. They advertise "bottomless" mimosas but after our group had two of them on our last visit, the waitress stopped coming around and eventually, we were able to flag her down. We asked if we could have another round, and she actually stated that she had intentionally stayed away from our table (of regular customers), to pace us on our drinks! Do not advertise bottomless anything, if you are going to rip off your customers and not hold true to what your menu says. We will not be back! As we are new in the Riverside area we thought we would give the place a try. Great choice! The food was great.the service was also great. On that note the food on our second visit came out a bit cold. I mentioned this to the waitress. Dawn came to our table and To our surprise we were comped for the meal. I've been a mom to a kid with food allergies for 8 years now, it's been hell trying to take them out and make them feel like theyre part of having a good breakfast/brunch. We went to the broken yolk for my best friend's birthday and it was amazing Brittany was the most amazing server she got our mimosas exactly right and we're hard to please because we want orange juice and pomegranate in our mimosas.
