It's a decent place for breakfast, with a couple of caveats. I've only eaten here once, so your experience may vary. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich, with fresh fruit, and coffee. The coffee was a little on the sour side for me, probably a light or medium roast. I know some like that, but if I have to put creamer in it, it's not for me. The croissant sandwich was big, and very tasty. It didn't hold together all that well, so ended up eating it with a knife and fork, but still good. The fresh fruit was a little disappointing. If fresh means underripe, then it was spot on. The melons were as hard as a rock. The service was good, the pricing a little high ($17 for a sandwich and a small bowl of fruit). There was a day in time I'd wait hours to eat here! Back when I was in the OC, when the first opened it was the go to spot for myself and my fellow breakfast companions. Today we walked in around 830 on a Saturday. No line, but also no one was there to greet or seat us. I always think of Padema from Top Chef fame during restaurant wars, there was an episode where the host was there to greet initially or say goodbye to, and she made a comment about that. It's stayed in my head since. Service was ok, a little slow, blueberry smoothie tasted powdery, and came with whipped cream. Biscuits and gravy was ok, biscuit was dense and cold, like it had been in a fridge overnight taste. Not saying it was but that's what it tasted like. Sausage and bacon were great! Visited this location many times and have had Vanessa and recently Angie as servers. Both were exceptional. Always kept coffee piping hot. If it wasn't, they fixed it no questions asked. It can get crazy busy any day of the week. Be prepared for a wait especially on weekends. The team keeps the wait as short as possible tho. Tried this place for my birthday (brunch) last Saturday, and I'd honestly call it Mid. For being busy, the wait wasn't bad; they had a nice large location and moved people through. I liked our waitresses. That being said...I found it to be quite pricey: fifty bucks for 2 breakfasts with 1 coffee, before tip??? (Spoiler alert: the coffee and the sausage were the best parts.) Granted, the pancakes were GYNORMOUS...but TBH had no flavor. Hubby said the same about his biscuits. I actually took most of my pancakes home, and ended up just tossing them out...which is EXTREMELY RARE for me; I HATE wasting food. We told the hostess staff it was my birthday, and it basically got a yawn ( unlike the fanfare at other places). I really enjoy the breakfast at this place, but I've stopped dining here because I consistently feel rushed to leave. I've brought several of my employees with me on multiple occasions, and after all four visits, I conclude the service makes you feel like they want you out as quickly as possible. Even when there are plenty of open tables, the servers seem eager to clear plates, bring the check early, or otherwise hurry the experience along while we're still in the middle of our meal and conversation. It creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere that takes away from what is otherwise good food. Dining out should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience, not one where you feel pressured to leave. Unfortunately, because of these repeated experiences, I won't be returning or giving them my business in the future read more

EGGS-EMPLARY FOOD! WOW, I loved my Mile High Omelette with green peppers, onion, ham, and cheese. It was light and very satisfying, perfect for brunch. I visited this location for the first time with my Mom and we had a blast. My meal came with wheat toast and a side of fresh fruit. My Mom and I asked for a side order (my favorite part of the meal) of short stack pancakes. The fluffy short stack pancakes (quantity of 2) were topped with banana slices and a bit of butter. Everything tasted great! I love that Broken Yolk has fun glasses for their drinks, my orange juice came in a tall, thin glass with a perfectly sized straw. Overall, the restaurant was tidy and our silverware was ready upon arrival. My only suggestion is that the restroom should be checked more frequently, there was toilet paper on the floor and a mess of water by the sink. The manager was very attentive! Additionally, our waiter was super polite and friendly. Shout out to Josue P., he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great short stack recommendation. I came here the other day to enjoy a late lunch hour. This place offers brunch options; which could be enjoyed until 2pm. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak n Eggs with a side order of pancakes. This order was enough to feed 2 people and the brunch option was really decent. I think this restaurant is better than Denny's or IHop as well. Our waiters were really nice and there is plenty or parking. I had the salmon avocado toast and added two pouched eggs. My friend, ordered American breakfast which is like a grand slam except on a higher quality scale and comes with a giant buttermilk pancake, that is off the hook, scary good. So, if you're on a low carb diet, save that baby for me! Haha. It's basically dessert after breakfast for two. They have a breakfast bar in case a table or booth is not your vibe. The restaurant was clean and booth very comfortable, windows all around with plenty of natural light. I recommend all try this restaurant at least once since there's something for everyone on the menu which consists of more than breakfast. I haven't ate at a Broken Yolk in many years. I did use them for catering last year for my birthday but more of that in a bit. So I was remembering their biscuits being massive and delicious so I wanted to see if that was still the case. They're just how I remembered them :) My husband ordered El Fuego Omelette which came with a side of hash browns and toast. Biscuit was an option so my husband was kind enough to share it with me. It's definitely shareable because it is bigger than your standard biscuit. Eat it immediately while it's hot and fluffy. I ordered the Wellness Health Wrap. It had egg whites, bell peppers, onion, spinach, and feta cheese, and came with a side of fruit. It was a perfect size and it was delicious. I was definitely impressed with their breakfast. So as mentioned earlier I use them to cater for my birthday brunch last year. Ordered breakfast burritos from them for about 20 people. I forgot the managers name but whoever it was in May of 2024, she was very sweet and thorough with pricing and accommodating with some of my requests. The burritos were a hit at my party. Very delicious and filling. I know there are so many breakfast spots in Temecula and I know Broken Yolk is a chain but the food is pretty darn good, good portion sizes, still reasonably priced, and friendly staff. This is my second time here and once again I was not disappointed. The dreamcicle drink is my absolute favorite. It's like an orange 50/50 ice cream. One of my favorites growing up. Today I ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken. With home fries. Everything taste great. The chicken was good with good flavors. The biscuits are made fresh. But really dry. The same lady that didnt greet us last time at the podium was at the podium again and she is still very mad at the world! Service was worse this time, did not get utensils or a water, just the coffee i ordered. Server never checked on us during the meal, only when we waved him down to ask for utensils. We visit this restaurant once or twice a year when we visit family. When we visited most recently, it was not quite morning time more of like a brunch. I decided to try the lemon ricotta pancakes this time. They were pretty good, but the only lemon taste is from the zest on top, I wish they had been more lemon-y. Plenty of pancake though, I couldn't finish it. My son had a kids meal with scrambled egg, a bacon and a sausage and he ate the whole thing so it must've been good.
