The waitresses are extremely sexist. I went here with another female friend for a couple drinks and had a terrible experience. Both waitresses on the floor ignored us most of the time, and when we were finally asked what we would like to order she was very short and unfriendly. Cherry on top of our night was when one of the waitresses was flirting with a group of guys and wasn't watching where she was walking, she knocked her water pitcher in to the back of my head and didn't even apologize! Wow this place used to be awesome. The staff is still great but I don't know what happened since the new owners took over. The food is not as good and the atmosphere just feels different. And now they have removed the only pool table they had to put in more seats. I'm sorry but I can't remember a time where seating was an issue, even on a Friday night. And now we can't play pool. Servers make you feel out of place the moment you walk in and you're not a regular. I go to many dive bars and servers are usually nice and chill. When the server asked for our ID's she had such a bad attitude like she didn't even want to be there. Food was mediocre. This place is only good for the 3 pokestops hence the 2 stars. read more

I'll take back anything negative I said about the Broadway Saloon. I stopped back in with a few friends and unlike my last visit it was slammed with customers. The service was outstanding. The drinks were good just like my last visit. It was just a much better vibe than last time. Our server was phenomenal, not just with us but all of her tables. I hate this. I hate being the only reviewer not raving about a place. It makes me feel small and petty, especially when there is a lot to like here. Miz Mona and stopped in to celebrate our first night out in a long time and we both instantly loved the place. Loud, great people watching, plenty of local color. We were able to slide right into a table, our first round of Happy hour drinks were delivered fast and strong , as were our Hot Wings, which were a little too hot for Miz Mona but just right for me. We decided to stick around for dinner, Miz Mona ordered a Cheese Steak and I went with the Friday night special...Prime Rib, one of my favs. We waited, and waited and waited some more, which was fine, it was Friday night and the place was packed, I don't expect anything more. I don't know, maybe the server was having a bad night, maybe there was a new guy in the kitchen, but I never got my salad, the potato was rock hard and cold and the meat they served me , well, lets say I have never had to saw through a piece of prime rib before. All of this is OK, I dont go to a dive bar and expect a fine dining experience. I dont go to a pasta place and expect a great burger, I dont go to fish house and expect a great steak, but if you are going to be known for steaks... Anyway, it would have made everything right if they had made a small adjustment to our bill, maybe comp me a happy hour drink to make up for the missing salad, but alas, it was not to be. I just had dinner with my girlfriend here and the food was alright. I would give the food 3-stars and the atmosphere and service 5-stars which is why I'm giving them a 4-star review. I got the tritip and my girlfriend got the pastrami sandwich. They were good, just not for what we paid really. They're more of a bar than a place to get great food. So as far as a bar's concerned, I love them. The people there are super friendly, attentive and clearly care for the customers. Hey boys & girls, ever wonder what it would look like if Dr. Seuss dropped acid and tried to design bar furniture? Well wonder no longer, come to the Broadway Saloon and see for yourself first hand! Yes we've removed the 30" wide tables and replaced them with strange looking oddities made from 2x6's and metal pipes. They're too narrow now to accommodate people sitting on both sides and it's really uncomfortable. And no need to tighten those pipes down with a wrench, we hand tightened them so the tabletop is extra wobbly. Why they literally rock back and forth by a full 8 inches, guaranteeing a plethora of spilled drinks throughout the night! Oh, and remember that hideous burned wood decoupage look from the 70's? Well it's back and crappy looking as ever! But why stop there. We removed most of the comfortable padded bar stools and replaced them with more nightmarish wood and pipe benches. Now everyone gets to share the same bench and jostle for the correct distance between table and bench. And we made sure that none of the legs are the same length so they rock back and forth as bad as the tables do! We spared every expense! Why bother measuring the correct height of footrests, stool height or tabletop height. We guessed, and boy did we miss the mark! The stools are too short, and the tabletops and footrests are too high. Now you can experience what it feels like being an adult and sitting at the kiddie table at grandma's Thanksgiving dinner! We unfortunately went way over budget with this monstrosity so now instead of serving Heinz Ketchup, we cheaped out and got Dollar Store brand Ketchup. Come experience this odd tasting red goo for yourself. Is it really ketchup? We would like you to think so! While you're here, please enjoy our free Wi-Fi, well as long as the router is working. We cheaped out on this too and bought a router meant for home use. It can't handle the high network traffic so it crashes constantly throughout the evening. So come to the Broadway Saloon. We took a faux dive bar and turned it into a REAL dive bar. It's Craptastic! read more

Really good for a bar that offers food. The vibe is chill, kind of a 90's throwback when you walk in. We went on a Friday night and had an easy time getting a table. The bartenders are also servers and they were really friendly. The music being played was awesome, great mix of everything which I didn't expect. Our food came out fast and was really tasty. My husband got a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and I got a Blt, both which were really yummy. We'll definitely go back for a nice, casual meal. We've eaten here many times, but tonight was a major disappointment. My husband ordered the prime rib, knowing they only had the end piece left. What we got was a piece of fat, he only was able to eat about 4 bites. After we complained, they only offered to charge us half price, and only after we really complained, and they acted like they were doing us a favor. Let's face it was not a piece of meat, they tried to sell us fat. Our buddy ordered a medium steak and it was rare. We will never go back! read more

Our very first stop in Portland was Broadway Saloon. Interesting enough we landed close to midnight from Sacremento and started our drive toward Beaverton (our hotel) outside of PDX. We called to see if they were still serving food and sure enough they were. The bar was very simple, had some gambling machines on the window near the entrance. Broadway is a great place to go for drinks and hanging out with friends. I usually make it out here once or twice a week after my friends get off work. Karmen is amazing, and I love her sass! Sorry to say that my dinner experience was way better then my breakfast. The service was not that great and the coffee everyone at the table was provided had spoiled cream given with it. We headed into Beaverton heart set on a Four Car Pastrami sandwich at the "Depot" next door, and found them closed. Quick, check Yelp for whats good in the neighborhood.. 4 & 5 star reviews for this place right next door, Hmmm worth a try! We both tried the Chicken Cordon Blau sandwich that another Yelper thought was so good..Hmmm dee-lish! It IS " da bomb " !! We will be back! Great service, clean tavern atmosphere, lots of TV screens, reasonable prices. Next time I will give one of the burgers a try. Onion rings are a "10"... Light and tasty, not over oniony, or over breaded as can often happen. Ive been enjoying onion rings for over 60 years, all over the USA, these are good! Did not have beer or wine this trip, just soft drink, but other patrons were ordering a wide range of brews..nice tavern with good bar food... I noticed they also open VERY early for the breakfast crowd too, lots of yummy sounding classics in the breakfast menu.
