I was glad to see the space between the Castello Plan and Jennifer's Beauty World being filled especially since King Mother closed down. Though the Bakehaus is another bakery/cafe on the road, it does have some unique characteristics. It markets itself as representing pastries from different parts of the world. So in addition to the typical croissants & cookies , it has treats such as scones, caneles, macarons, cronutz (purposefully spelled in order to not conflict with the popular cronuts). I ordered a canele and while it wasn't my favorite, it was decent enough. They have a loyalty card for drinks to earn a free coffee and croissant. There are a few chairs and tables inside and out especially with summer approaching but with the current construction shed, it is not picturesque. The people there were generally nice and took my order efficiently. I might comeback just to see what their riff of a cronut is like.

We got the six pack of donuts: the jelly, red velvet, cookies and cream, salted caramel, and a normal iced one. My favorites were the red velvet and the cookie and cream where you can taste the different flavors. The other donuts all tasted quite similar even though they were to be varied

Really excited about this addition to the neighborhood. The space is bright, clean and welcoming -- though I was immediately overwhelmed by how many interesting treats they had. The service was attentive and kind. The donuts are delicious and inventive flavors (yes that is a crème brûlée donut!) I thought it was a bit pricey but will be back regardless.

This place takes donuts seriously. You can taste the difference--light texture, balanced flavors, and a clear attention to detail.!

Pastel de nata, crème brûlée donuts, macaroons, chunky cookies that are somehow also light - this is a fine addition to the neighborhood.

Bakehaus has some really nice baked goods but I go for the cookies and pastel de nata.

The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

Dropped by Radio Bakery on the Tuesday morning after Memorial Day and the lines weren't too crazy…read more I got there in time to grab some breakfast items and baked goods, and then waited at a table outside for the lunch items to get set out around 11AM. I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

This was delicious but they should definitely keep it on a warming tray or something! It was nice and cheesy with a good amount of the bacon and a whole egg inside. Also had the peach iced tea (doesn't come sweetened but they have options on the bar opposite the register. Service was quick and friendly I was in and out. Grabbed a spot on the bench under the tree to chow down.
