My partial Sesame take for the day, I'll be back.

Full glass retail enclosures give you the chance to glance enough to decide to commit to entry or pass them by. Trouble is, to patrons inside looking at you outside, your always looking odd and confused and occasionally creepy. I know this, so I stopped doing it and so -- I march right in, not window drooling over the freshly baked sweetbreads and Babka, it's so uncouth. Thinking its Sesame's shopping basket -- and I'm still unsure if it was or if it wasn't -- I grabbed a black ivy pattern thickish steel bread tin thing and slipped into the Mickey Mouse hand shaped plastic glove and soon my holder is about to spillith over. So I kinda cuddled it like a baby cub, swung a pirouette towards the rear which was all coffee and juices and stuff, then back to where I began because I didn't know the names of half of my items and I just have to know that stuff or I'll go mad at home deciphering the questionable ones. I did buy sweetbread for Ma Dukes, and an anvil heavy chocolate danish that a took a good hearty rip out of, on my drive home, it pinned my tounge like a wrestler -- it was spectacular! a short baguette that didn't have the look I'm used to as it was whiter perhaps due to the flour - it looked like a ghost baguette. Then a small pretzel loaf (that was a cool item) beautiful color, soft but resistance, two Kaiser rolls and a boring looking corn muffin. I'm really trying to avoid coldcutts however these two breads are bringing me back to the negotiating table. And all told, it was like ten bucks!

Such amazing donuts. Had a nice surprise trying these after a friend brought them over. They were all delicious, had the perfect amount of filling, and were so soft. Melt in your mouth soft. I'm still thinking about them a week later. My favorite was the top right. I wish I knew what kind it was but it had caramel filling. Totally recommend all of them though.

Nice large and fresh baked donuts unlike a Dunkin Donuts restaurant. Very addictive and worth the buy.

"Cinnamon takes a back seat to no Babka."  Okay, so I believe this is a Kokosh.  But Seinfeld was so right.

If you want to strike fear in my heart, just tell me you're stopping by a kosher bakery to bring over dessert. 'Cause you see, I have ongoing bad flashbacks of all the deceptively delicious looking pareve, aka dairy-free, layer cakes iced with cloying, waxy frosting that I've been forced to endure over the years. One thing I'm willing to concede, though, is that pareve breakfast pastries, like Babka, Kokosh, Rugelach, and Danish(es?) can be pretty good. So I stopped in here with that in mind: Wound up trying various Cinnamon & Chocolate-filled pastries and far-preferred the former. In fact, I happen to adore cinnamon (see my Kopitiam review to find out just how much) and was overjoyed to see it used without restraint. Fwiw, the chocolate filling in the pastries I tried was just kind of blah and lacking in intensity. On another visit, some small, rectangular Flatbreads, topped with caramelized onions, caught my eye. I was a little disappointed when I brought them home, expecting airy crispness and winding up with uber soft and doughy instead. But then, in a moment of pure culinary genius, inspired by my love of French Onion Soup, I decided to top them with Swiss Cheese and toast in the oven. Boom! Now, this was delicious and something I'd happily eat again. I tend to view kosher in relative terms: As in, with its contemporary aesthetics, v. the many um... dilapidated bakeshops that pervade Midwood, I could see how this would be a welcome place for people who keep strictly kosher to pick up a Challah or grab a Doughnut and Coffee on the way to work. And relative as in me pretending for an instant that all those years of religious Day School had actually kicked in and I was observant. In that other reality, this spot is 5 stars. But back in this one, I have way too many other options to compare this to, so it's just A-OK for me.

Delicious donuts! It's usually hard to find good donuts. We've tried all of the flavors but the glazed and Nutella are my favorites.

I was really excited to give Cotti another try after my first experience (the latte was really good). I've tried quite a few drinks from this location: Stardust Oolong Latte, Cloud Mousse Matcha Latte, Pandan Coco Latte, Cloud Mousse Pandan Crema Latte, and Coco Cotti. One thing they have in common is how milk-forward they are. So milk-forward that my Pandan Coco Latte was white instead of green! The Stardust Oolong Latte sadly tasted like straight-up milk with no Oolong taste at all. The Pandan Coco Latte tasted like a coconut latte, which isn't bad, but I would like to taste the Pandan. Overall, I think there's potential because their espresso is good, but the milk overpowers any other flavor by a lot. With so much competition in the area, I think you can do better for the price unless they make improvements. I'll give it another chance in the future, but for now, I'll be taking a break from Cotti.

Because it all looked sooooo good. My go to pastry at a place like this is cannoli. My wife love rainbow cookies. Overall this is the best cannoli I've had in a very long time. The cream was to perfection. The crust was baked to the right crisp with the exact amount of firmness and not no burning. The rainbow cookie was not overly sweet. The cake was moisute with a perfect balance to sweetness. It held well with every bite. My wife also said this was the best shes had in awhile. My daughter loved the lobster tail. It had a light exterior texture to every bite. The cream was nice with a hint of nutmeg. The chocolate mousse was decadent. There was a liquer to the chocolate that gave a lot of depth to the chocolate smoothie texture. Will certainly come back. And spread the word. This is not only an institution but a landmark.

The star of the show: purple yam souffle with vanilla ice cream is chefs kiss!! I thought I couldn't like any dessert more than their chocolate molten lava cake but this one definitely takes the spot. Top two desserts they have! Even when I had lava cakes at fancy establishments, it doesn't hold a candle to prince tea house! Their crepe cakes are also alright but I've found the to be less unique and enjoyable especially the brown sugar boba which sometimes comes out in clumps hard to pour onto the cake. Their food selection is decent for sandwiches like chicken katsu and also fries. Their fruity teas aren't my style but their hot milk teas are amazing. The lavender green tea was more green tea which was disappointing, hoped to taste more lavender. The best one is the rose lovers milk tea, literally perfection each time. Unfortunately, this place may no longer be my usual. My favorite part of this place is that the serves don't really care about you in the sense that the bring you food and leave you alone. However, they now impose mandatory 20% tip on all tables even for table of 1 or 2. This location only. As someone who realizes the servers here simply bring food and nothing else here (which I actually love as I don't like to be bothered) but expect a high mandatory tip, this is not the way to go. Especially since there have been numerous occasions where servers are nowhere to be seen and refuse to service you for something as simple as napkins or a check if they're not your server, this is an absurd addition. Definitely visiting less now that this happened. The most bothersome is that it's mandatory. Doesn't seem right/ethical and makes it feel less genuine. Had the pleasure of visiting other prince tea house locations and the service seems better, even water without asking, surprising cash discount, and most importantly: don't impose this mandatory tip! Not sure what changed here but not what it used to be with this and it needs to change. TDLR: -best options here: rose lovers milk teas, chocolate lava cake, purple yam soufflé -major con: new mandated 20% tip!! on all tables, even table of 1 or 2, which is unheard of at other prince tea house locations and even fancy restaurants!

I ordered avocado toast with eggs and a pastry. The only real positive was the bread itself, which was fresh, large, and actually tasted good. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended. Although the avocado seemed less generic than standard store-bought guacamole, the taste was not good. The eggs were terrible -- they looked very unappetizing, tasted awful, and appeared nothing like the photo shown on Grubhub. The same photo also showed a small side salad, but no salad was included. I requested chili oil, and that was missing as well. The added cheese had virtually no flavor, so overall the dish felt careless, incomplete, and extremely unsatisfactory. I also checked the box requesting utensils, but no utensils or napkins were included. However, to be clear, this review is not about forgotten utensils. It is about the overall lack of quality, attention to detail, and customer care. The pastry was another culinary failure. It was sold under the French name -"Pan Au Raisin" but it was nothing like what real "Pain Aux Raisins " supposed to be, it was bland, greasy, oily and missing the traditional custard base plus it was delivered in an undersized paper envelope that left the food exposed, a clear violation of basic sanitary standards for food transport. Most importantly, this order caused me stomach pain and GI upset. This was the only food I had eaten in a 24-hour period, and more than 24 hours later I still felt unwell. The owner's reply to my original review was patronizing, dismissive, and refused to take any real accountability. Instead of addressing the food quality issues, the missing items, the poor packaging, and the physical reaction I had to the order, the response tried to reduce the entire problem to utensils and push the conversation into private email. I am keeping this public so other customers can make an informed decision. I wanted to support a new local business, but the bad taste, poor execution, misleading presentation, lack of care, and dismissive management made that impossible. Based on this experience, I would not order again and would not recommend this place to friends or family.
