Hours on Google
Isaac R.

Their hours are not accurate. Google says they're open until 8pm. I show up and their sign says they close at 2pm. I can't imagine it's difficult to update business hours on Google. Anyway, I wasted my time, I hope you don't.

4 stars for Brightwok Kitchen - this is Asian fusion food restaraunt where you can make your own bowls/salads, It's a healthier kind of lunch spot, I did the very spicy spice level and it really wasn't that hot to be honest. They have a variety of vegetables and proteins - it is on the pricier side, but not that surprising for downtown. The bowls are a good portion size and are pretty tasty. Overall, it's like a BiBiBop and I'd recommend if you're looking for something in that realm of food.

Earth, curry, and fire

After all of the great reviews, I finally decided to try brightwok kitchen. This is a chipotle type of restaurant where the fresh ingredients are chosen, and then made to order on the grill top. I ordered the earth, curry and fire and added chicken. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea. My dish had a bit too many carrots and not enough chicken or tofu.

Earth, Curry and Fire

The earth, curry, and fire with steak came out great. It was delicious and I got 2 sweet potato fritters with it. The flavors worked really well together. I could probably eat 20 sweet potato fritters. The girl working today was very helpful with my buddies getting them samples of the different sauces to try. Everyone enjoyed our food. It was a bit cold and we had the dining area to ourselves. It was clean and neat. The kitchen area is kept very clean as well! She had the stove pulled out and I took a picture. That's always a good feeling when you see the restaurant doesn't neglect cleaning.

I love places that are "make your own" like this concept but I didn't really enjoy Brightwork. The food took awhile and once it came out it all kind of tasted the same.

Looks good and fresh. Just ate but wanted to check it out for next time. Based on what I saw ir will be delicious.

Woke up restaurant

Amazing! I was blown away by the umami mushroom bowl with steak. Full of flavor and the steak was so tender, it pairs with the umami flavor nicely. Love that this places emphasizes healthy alternatives.

Brightwok kitchen is easily one of my favorite places to grab lunch in the city! I've tried multiple sauces over the past few visits and everything has been so tasty and fast:) my favorite one is probably the Thai basil but tbh you can't go wrong with any of them! The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable and the restaurant is very well maintained! I can't wait to come again soon

My go-to takeout is Earth, Curry & Fire w/ Tofu. It has the right balance of spiciness and good protein-veggie-rice ratio. You can customize it (e.g. as-is or steamed with less sauce). The staff is always welcoming and the place is cute! I have never eaten it but groups frequent this place. Many large tables for work lunch groups!

Some of the best Nepali/Indian food we've had! As a group…read moreof 5, we split the Family Meal Deal and added an extra bread basket. The onion naan was a surprise hit, we were delighted to learn we love it since we usually order garlic! We also ordered some Steamed Chicken Momos which were cooked perfectly and super juicy inside! We all had different favorites and none of the items went unnoticed. Even the sauces for the Cocktail Samosas and for the momos were flavorful! The staff were attentive, quick, and helpful. We were seated immediately, ordered within minutes, and were able to split our bill equally 5 ways with ease! Would recommend again for fast, casual dinner with no reservation needed.

Disclaimer, I'm an East Asian and I didn't grow up eating Indian or Nepali food so take my comments with a grain of salt. Lamb curry My friend and I enjoyed it. I bit into some star anise in the dish, and I wished they gave the star anise more time to incorporate into the curry (sauteing longer and toasting it before), as the star anise flavor wasn't really there. I had to bite into the star anise with the sauce to learn about the flavor profile. Eggplant curry I wasn't a big fan of the dish, as it felt a little astringent and bitter at times. I wasn't sure what it was going for, and I wished it utilized more of that umami flavor from the eggplant to elevate the curry. The curry felt a little overpowering. Fish curry As a seafood lover, this was one of the most special curries I have had. The fish was delicate and soft, which was paired well with the sauce. I would get this again. Chicken Biryani We increased the spice for this dish. The portions were huge and we liked it as a base to the other curries and something to eat with the naan. It was not bad. Mutton Momo (Soup) As a mutton/lamb lover, the momos were flavorful and hearty. They were paired with a spicy tomato soup, which felt different but familiar. We loved it. Mutton Momo (Chillied) The momo was sauted and fried at the bottom. It was paired with some bell peppers. This is the kind of dish where you wouldn't be able to stop eating. Loved it. Garlic Naan Hot, thin, crispy. Even though we wished the garlic was more pungent, the texture was great. Gulab Jamun (Fried Ball Dessert) It was our favorite. The syrup was gingery and had a subtle hint of saffron, and it blended well with the fried balls. This hit home. Overall, the food was decent. We will definitely be back for the momo and to try the different curries and biryani.

If they bring prices down will have line out the door. So you get 2 tacos per order but they are the same tacos. Just do 3 tacos per order with mix and match. Service (A) Fast friendly service. We were looking for a place to accommodate 13 people during air and water show/bears game/cubs game trifecta weekend. Thinking this to be impossible we made two reservations here and they delivered on everything. From 5 years old to 70, everyone found something they loved on the menu (portobello tacos, flautas, seafood special and truffle plantains all delish). Just go ahead, get that margarita or palomita and save room for dessert. The mango cheesecake tastes like summer. Don't be a quitter. No pics because we were hungry and it was family catch up time.
