I love Indian food, and I ordered two personal size pizza, one is lamb and one is chicken. I orderonline through Grabhub, and the staff place the pizza in the oven for me. Both piece taste so delicious and I can't wait to come back and try different favour. If you would like Indian food, you would love this fusion mix of Indian cuisine and pizza! read more

Ordering was very easy done on the machine I grabbed a number and my food was brought out by this pretty friendly guy in about 5 minutes. The rice was delicious, packed with flavor and one of the best I've ever had. The chicken tikka masala was delicious and the best part was there were no buns. Naan bread came it nice and warm the only down side was the soda was warm and there was no ice. Once they fix the fridge this place definitely deserves 5 stars. The place itself was very clean and since I arrived late there weren't too many people inside. read more

The food is quite tasty and unique. I had enjoyed the gluten-free crust paneer pizza. We ordered in again today with friends - masala fries, pav bhaji, bunch of regular-crust paneer pizzas - who enjoyed all the items. The problem here is the staff and training - team members look listless and unwelcoming. They're not bothered to answer any questions, won't pick up the phone, and are just generally of poor-attitude. read more

Walked in and it wasn't busy but there were kiosk to order from. It would have been nice to be greeted but overall the inside looks nice. There are a lot of seating options and their menu has vegetarian options and meet options as well. Been to the one in Lincoln park and it's really nice. Ordered their palak paneer pizza and the vegetarian samosas and they were good. Even if you don't finish the whole thing you can heat it up for a late night snack. Such a perfect spot in river north. read more

Wow Mazala's pizzas are insanely delicious!! We got two 8" personal naan pizzas for 2 people and shared. The butter chicken pizza was so yummy, lots of curry deliciousness with mozzarella and paneer cheeses! And the palak paneer pizza was just as tasty, the spinach base with plenty of paneer chunks, yummm. Both pizzas naan bread was very good, and they came with a garlic cream sauce that was a genius inclusion. I ordered from their website, it was ready in under 10 min. We ate at home but the servers were nice when I picked it up, the restaurant had some tables to dine in. I'd recommend a salad or small app before eating to be fully full, the pizzas were decent but a salad helped. Oh and the pizza boxes are really cool inside, with games! Highly recommend Mazala Pizza, we'll be back :) read more

I am still confused as to what the restaurant's actual name is. I've seen Moti Cafe and Masala Pizza. Regardless, we ordered the elote masala paneer pizza on naan, which was not the best. The flavors just did not seem to go well. We, also, ordered the tikka masala paneer pizza, which was much better. This was very good. Both pizzas came with house seasoning packets, but all our packets were empty with nothing in it. The veggie momos was very bad; I couldn't eat it and gave it to my husband to finish. The mango lassi and rose lassi are overly fragrant and seemed to just be missing the "lassi" part of the drink. I would go back and order the tikka masala paneer pizza again but probably won't be getting anything else there. read more

I keep walking past this place but never had time to go in. Caught their booth at Taste of River North today and had the butter chicken mazala pizza. YUM. The sauce was perfect and tastes just as good as it smells. Turning these dishes into casual, portable forms is kind of genius, imo. Will definitely have them on the top of my list next time I want Indian food! read more

Came in on August 26 about 30 minutes before closing, and with the BTS concert going on nearby, this place was getting absolutely slammed with orders. You could tell the team was overwhelmed, but I really have to shout out the girl working that night with her hair in a bun because she was ON TOP OF IT.She was constantly checking in with guests, keeping everyone updated on wait times, apologizing for the delays, and letting people know they were welcome to stay inside while the team finished cleaning up even after closing. She stayed positive, energetic, and genuinely kind through the entire rush, and the way she handled everything was honestly amazing to watch.Even with the longer wait, it really didn't feel that bad because she communicated so well and made sure nobody felt forgotten. And the food was bomb. Just really good, classic comfort food and exactly what I wanted after a long night.Really enjoyed my experience and would absolutely come back. Huge shoutout again to the girl with the bun working that night -- she handled that rush like a pro. read more

We hit up Mazala for some late night dinner and, being that walkable options downtown were few, fusion Indian sounded amazing. I try not to be one of the last customers before closing, so maybe it was our bad for showing up in the last 45 minutes of service. All the same, the quality of the food shouldn't suffer. I got lamb tacos, the flavor of which was pretty good but the meat was overcooked and the tortilla was gummy with a stale texture. On the other hand, my friend's burrito was sloppy and surprisingly bland with meat that was definitely precooked earlier in the day. Had we been drunk like most of the people wandering downtown Chicago at 11 PM, maybe the food would have been satisfying. Sadly, we were too sober to be so easily satiated. read more

Although this doesn't rank amongst the best pizza in Chicago I was satisfied with my purchase especially considering twas under $20. I opted for the the garlick pizza & to my surprise it wasn't a garlic bomb. The flavors are definitely well balanced & certain parts of the pizza had that perfect caramelization. I'd definitely return but with my expectations better prepared. read more

The tikka pizza was good! I did think it was confusing to order on the tablet and I would've asked for help but none of the employees seemed available, so I somehow ended up with extra toppings sauces that I didn't actually want and had to pay extra for. It was ready quickly though! And the inside area was kind of messy so I wouldn't plan to come here to eat inside, but I think the outside area would be nice when the weather's good. read more

I placed my order online and when I went to go pick up my food, a bunch of people went inside at the exact same time. My order wasn't ready when I arrived, so I waited a little and the staff was nice and apologetic. They should keep a window open or have some sort of vent because if you stay there for too long, your clothes will start to smell like food. The food was pretty good, I really like their momos they had a lot of flavor. I like their branding that they have and the bag is really unique! Overall, I'd recommend trying this place especially the momos. read more

After enjoying the Indian Pizza at their Lincoln Park location, we decided to check out the River North spot to explore more of their menu. The Butter Masala Bowl was rich and flavorful without being overly spicy, while the Bir Yummy Bowl delivered a nice kick. The Firecracker Momos had a juicy, tender chicken filling, though I wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce. If you like 'spice' then give the Masala Chai, but it's not for everyone. The staff was friendly, and service for the bowls was quick. The momos may be made to order, because they took a little longer. The space is small, with just a few chairs and two high-top tables. read more

What a gem! I stumble upon the food menu online and I was instantly intrigued and had to visit. The inside is relatively small with a few tables and window seating. In the summer, I believe there is outside seating. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We tried the vada pav pizza, chicken tikka masala curry, and tikka masala momos. The pizza was incredible - the different flavors from the tikka masala, potato, onions, and green chutney came together perfectly. The momos reminded me of East Asian soup dumplings with a delicious sauce. The curry was creamy and flavorful. I already want to go back to try the other pizza flavors - how will I choose which one? We finished with an iced chai - the masala flavor was strong and the drink was creamy without any additional sweetness, which was a refreshing change. read more

Happy to report that Masala Pizza is just as delicious as it sounds! This place has a variety of options, including make-your-own bowls/wraps, chaat, and pizzas. We got a pie that was half Paneer Tikka and half Veg Manchurian, and both were fantastic. The Veg Manchurian was topped with plenty of manchurian bits and a classic Indo-Chinese Schezuan sauce (slightly spicy), while the Paneer Tikka was paneer, some chopped up veggies, and green chutney. The lovely service makes this place a definite return to try the other flavors. Slightly limited seating inside, but we had no trouble finding a spot. read more

Great Indian street food adventure. We were greeted with a welcoming hello by the employee who was working the cash register, the greeting party, the cook, and still took time to explain to us the whole menu. I forgot to mention that he was also helping the customers in front of us. I feel bad because of all the conversations we had with him. I forgot his name. All the food was great. The masala fries are a must try, but my cholesterol was telling me no. My wife loved her tikka bowl and tried to finish it all, but was unsuccessful. I tried the sweet chilli momos without onions. The taste and texture were outstanding. Next time, I will try it with a different sauce. I'm not a big fan of sweet tasting sauces. The whole experience was great, and we left with leftovers. All way, be open to new and different experiences because we had just landed in Chicago, and we were hungry and had time to kill before our Airbnb was ready. This is a nice casual dining spot and also looked like a popular place for to go orders. We came here to get masala chai as my friend was missing home made tea. She said the tea was pretty good and gave it a 4/5. It looked to be a good portion size especially for the price. I ordered the rose lassi which was very good, wasn't too sweet or over flavored. It was a little thicker than most lassi drinks I've had so it wasn't the easiest to drink. I also order the vada pav, it was a good portion size and very well flavored. Their garlic chutney was a perfect compliment to the dish. The vada was nice and crispy and the pav was well cooked. The service was fast and friendly. read more

My boyfriend and I just realized how close Moti is located to Studio 3 and that is not a good thing! Haha this could be our "treat yourself after a HIIT class" meal! Moti has a good Indian-fusion menu. We ordered 2 Vada Pav's which were pretty huge. Vada Pav is a traditional Western Indian dish, it is bread with fried potatoes, I'd say its taste is pretty close to the authentic taste. We also ordered a Paneer Tikka Masala pizza with the gluten-free crust. They have a lot of Vegetarian options but not a lot of Vegan options. It would have been nice to replace Paneer with Tofu! I opted for a Paneer pizza assuming I can remove the paneer pieces from the pizza, however, they had shredded paneer which made it slightly difficult to get rid off (the shredded paneer enhanced the taste tho) The moti sauce is also really good, which surely made the pizza quite tasty! Moti is a good Indian restaurant with not so fancy ambiance but it is still pretty good! I hate the fact that they don't have water fountains/ offer water on tap. Let's reduce the use of plastic bottles, if we can! read more

In my opinion, the food from Moti is the closest you can get to Indian street food. The vada pav is mid, but no one other place has come this close to resembling the flavor. The paneer slider are my absolute favorite. So yummy! They are good as quick bites to eat before you dig into the yummy pizza from Moti. The next highlight is definitely the paneer tikka pizza. Omg, so yummy and go good! I also love the sauce that comes with the pizza. The momos are below average in my opinion, especially the sweet chili momos. The samosa chat is another great item on the menu, along with the mango lassi. The service is fast! You have to order at the counter and also collect from the counter. The ambience is nice and fresh, with patio seating in summer. There is limited indoor seating though.Overall, a great place to try out quick Indian eats! read more
