She was super flexible and was able to send us all proofs via e-mail. She was super creative and great at interpreting all of our ideas!!! After our invitations went out we received so many compliments that we were afraid the wedding itself would not live up to the quality + beauty of the invitations, ha! Rachel did our invitations, programs, match boxes, napkins, stir sticks, koozies, welcome bags and so much more. Now that the wedding is all over we have turned around and asked her to help us with thank you notes. The quality, beauty and creativity of all things that Rachel made for the wedding is truly unmatched, not to mention very reasonably priced!! But after reading some suggestions that if you don't get a coordinator at least designate a family person, friend, relative, dog to be the wedding manager.... I had second thoughts. Thankfully, that's where Mandy came in. Modern Whimsy is amazing. There are not words sufficient enough to describe how incredible Mandy and her team were. From the very beginning Mandy was attentive and helpful far beyond what I expected from a coordinator, let alone one that we were getting at a discount for a prize we won and for just day of coordination. She went FAR above and beyond what I think any one person would do and she was instantly a friend in the end. The details she stayed on top of were just incredible and perfect. Letting go of the reins for this OCD person was difficult, but I couldn't have asked for someone better to trust with my vision and allow to orchestrate the wedding of my dreams. If you're getting married and don't want to have to worry, stress, or cry on your wedding day, hire Modern Whimsy. The best investment we've ever made was for that peace of mind on our wedding day. She also did all the background work to organize details like flower delivery, scheduling conflicts and floor plans for the caterer. She was also able to help with a few etiquette questions that we had - always a plus. For the rehearsal, that attention to detail had her even pointing out small details like moving a microphone so people could see us kiss. She came to the hotel to drop off and pick things up in advance. She made herself available during the process via email, phone and text - all the ways we like to communicate! During the entire process Mandy was upbeat, helpful and made us feel like our event was as special to her as it was to us. Fees were also right in line with what I expected - excellent value for money. Now, we just need to find another event that she can help us to plan! Would love to work with her again.

The bridal bouquet I received was not what I ordered, the…read moreadditional cake flowers I paid for were nonexistent, and when I called Posey after the wedding to express my disappointment, Bonnie acted like she could care less. I went back and forth via email with Posey regarding my bridal bouquet prior to my wedding, outlining in great detail what I was looking for - namely, a medium-sized cascading/waterfall bouquet with various flowers. The invoice from Posey even says "Bridal bouquet with cascading greenery-$250". However, when I arrived at my venue on my wedding day, the bouquet that awaited me was definitely not cascading. It was beautiful, yes, and I was sure to let Bonnie know I appreciated that on the phone, but it was simply not what I paid for. She proceeded to argue that it WAS in fact, cascading (see the picture and decide for yourself), that I had only paid for a "standard" bouquet anyway, and that my bouquet was based on the picture I provided, which wasn't cascading... (See what she did there? Zero accountability, no matter what.) What was the point of all those emails if they were only going to reference one picture?? The picture I provided was only to illustrate the type of flowers and colors I wanted, which I clearly stated in my emails to Posey. Also, I paid for extra cake flowers, since I increased the size of my cake a few months before the wedding. There ended up being only one large flower between the two tiers, and a couple of small flowers beside it and on top. Look at the picture and tell me that was worth $55. When I asked her what happened, she blamed the lack of flowers on the baker, even though I specifically asked Posey to place the flowers. When I asked her what they did with all the extra flowers I paid for if they didn't end up on the cake, she said they put them in my bouquet. (An obvious lie...the cake flowers' stems would have already been removed.) Bonnie's response to all this was that if I had called on my wedding day, they would have come to the venue and "fixed" it. I'm sorry, but who tf calls their vendor an hour before they're about to walk down the aisle?? It was already too late. She wrapped up our lovely conversation by asking me what the point of my call was... All in all, I found Bonnie's honesty and professionalism sorely lacking. I realize I am not a "big fish" customer, but it was my wedding day, and I explained in great detail what I wanted. Look elsewhere if you want a florist who actually cares about bringing your vision to life.
