I was asked by Guesthouse to decorate a private room during F1 weekend for some VIP's and I only had 4 days to do it. When I got the phone call it was on a weekend and naturally, all rental/event companies were closed. I sent urgent emails to the top companies and the only one that took the time to get back to me was Bianka at Loot. I had emailed her a list of furniture that I was interested in and of course, a good majority of the items on my wish list were gone. Thankfully, Bianka was willing to sit down with me and together, we went through their inventory and came up with some really cool selections. I was also impressed that she was able to schedule a delivery within the timeframe that we needed! I received plenty of communication the day before delivery as well as the day of and was also called 30 minutes prior to their arrival. The team was quick and efficient during drop off and pickup and the furniture looked exactly as pictured online. To say everyone that visited the room was in awe is an understatement! I cannot say enough great things about the A-team at Loot. You guys were all professional, courteous and worked amazing under pressure. I look forward to working with you in the future. read more

When my friend mentioned the name of the company, I was a bit put-off because the name sounded cheap or cheesy. I quickly changed my mind because their website is classy and easy to use. If you order ahead of time, you will have a great selection, so jump as soon as you have your date nailed down! The person I worked with on the order was mostly helpful, but did not answer one specific question that I kept asking about matching items. The delivery men were really nice. They brought the items to the two different locations inside our office as we requested. I was disappointed that the tables were FAR more used than the pictures appeared. We were so disappointed in them that we didn't even use them, but we did not have time to call to get alternatives (and I doubt there were any at that point anyway). I was shocked to find that they wanted to pick up the items that we rented pretty much the minute our event ended. We obliged since we figured that would help get the crowd moving and realize that the party was over. Again, the gentlemen were kind in the process. We ended up using two companies and I will say that the items from both were more "tired" than expected, so I think they should let clients know that ahead of time. Update: I was given a refund on the tables we were unable to use, which tells me that they care about customer service. read more

Items are pretty and the people are nice, but the process of renting, their accountability, and the transparency on their fees is less than ideal. Items were missing from our order that had been confirmed, website had incorrect inventory, they cancelled items last minute before our event, high fees for pick up and drop off, poor communication, repeated administrative errors, miscellaneous hidden fees and "high season pricing" (definitely ask for confirmed cost on front end if you use them bc pricing on website is not representative ) all made it very difficult to work with them. The loot ladies (and men!) turned my brother's wedding into the most magical, romantic, cool, unique, AMAZING wedding, myself, and many of our guests have ever seen. Their entire team is so sweet, thoughtful, caring, creative, gracious, talented, helpful, and above and beyond, unbelievable at making your every wish come true! It was 25 degrees outside, and they had an entire team at our venue for 11+ hours (with no heater) to ensure the event looked nothing less than stunning. Although it was the coldest weather Austin has seen in quite some time, the only thing anyone can talk about is how gorgeous it was. The ladies at LOOT Vintage are gracious, gorgeous and completely charming - as is their space! They allowed Art Alliance Austin to throw our Art Night EAST party at their Thompson St. space and it was the VIP event to top all VIP events! They staged the event with their lovely vintage furniture inside and out (with a lace tee-pee making one love seat extra cozy) and the whole placed glowed with coziness and elegance. I can't really even begin to explain how good these folks are. They are basically magnificent. They staged a party held at our home years ago. It was so cool that we've used the photos from that as our Airbnb listing ever since. When we decided to sell our house we immediately thought of them. Rhoda was the consummate professional, and worked magic to work within our timeline. They are not inexpensive - but you without question get what you pay for. Loot was great! We rented silk drapes/lights with them for my wedding, but the price was a bit more than we could afford on our own. So we contacted wedding at our same venue the same weekend as our wedding to see if they would split the cost. We ended up splitting it 4 ways. Loot put up the silk for 5 days and only charging for 1. They were very responsive and super easy to work with. And we got the summer discount! Plus they were beautiful! read more

Not only was the stuff amazingly beautiful, but the team was incredibly responsive and flexible. They were so easy to work with, even altering my rental proposal numbers several times due to cancelations/late RSVPs (dang em!). Delivery and p/u was simple as well. Even though there was a slight glitch (a few items short), they quickly remedied it, returning to Canyon Lake (approx. 1.5 hrs from ATX) the next day with all the items... AND then returning later that evening to p/u the rentals after our party. My favorite thing about these folks is that not only do they NOT require you to clean the dishes/cups/utensils, but they don't charge a hefty fee - unlike many other similar vendors. Being frugal (I mean, do I really need to pay someone else to clean?), we DIY almost the entire wedding. I was certainly glad not to have to DIY cleaning as well (bc dang it, I'm not paying someone to clean my dishes). We rented 150 of each dinner plate, dessert plate, fork, knife, spoon, goblet, and pint mason jars, to give you an idea of the size of our order. Again, everything is beautiful (if I weren't either too cheap or on a budget, I would have gone crazy renting their other items). Yay Loot!!! I rented vintage china from Loot to use as the plates and serving dishes at my wedding, and I'm so happy I found them! Rhoda and Anna were great to work with and they were so helpful about working with my schedule when I visited town so I could look at examples of the plates before renting them. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciated their help when I was deciding whether or not to use the plates. The vintage plates looked so much better than normal plates and really set the tone I wanted for a romantic wedding. I loved that Loot was flexible to add delivery and pick up to my order last minute when I realized I would not have time to do that myself. Nicole at Loot is one of the best people I have EVER worked with. She was incredibly responsive, patient, and SO supportive in my wedding planning process. Also, every potential customer should know that Loot's contracts are some of the most customer friendly in the wedding/party planning industry. I actually had planned my wedding at one venue, but due to circumstances beyond control, I had to change my venue 72 days before my wedding. My new venue included a lot more than my old venue and therefore I didn't need my Loot order any more. Nicole at Loot was completely understanding about the venue and budget change and assured me she would completely refund my deposit. Such a relief!!! Although I'm thrilled my new venue includes more, I'm honestly a little sad I won't need the amazing, striking pieces Loot has to offer. Brides looking to make their outdoor or indoor ceremonies extra beautiful, I HIGHLY recommend either the brown Victorian church pews or white pews (not shown on their website but they do have access to them).
