If you're a bride who's paying for everything yourself and making every penny count, spend your money elsewhere. These other 5 star reviews left me incredibly hopeful and excited to use Premiere Events for my big day and I walked away incredibly disappointed. I want to save you the stress it caused me. I rented two tents, tent lighting packages, and side walls from Premiere Events on 4/13. When planning my wedding, I specifically sought out companies that had solid reputations and great reviews. When weighing one vendor against another, cost was definitely a factor, but so was reputation. I wanted a company that would deliver a quality product on time. As everyone knows, being a bride can be incredibly stressful, especially when things do not go according to schedule and vendors do not follow through. I was given a four hour time window on 4/13 from 1-5pm for the crew to arrive for setup. I called the setup crew on Friday at 2:25pm to check in, I was told that they would arrive between 3-3:30pm. At 3:22pm I received a call from Deseree, the Tent Specialist I had worked with to book my tent rental. Deseree let me know that the crew was running late, but ensured me that the crew would arrive by 5pm at the latest. I spent the next two and a half hours waiting by my phone, as my rehearsal dinner guests began to trickle in. I didn't hear from Premiere Events again until 6:02pm, which is when I was notified that they were 10 minutes away. The setup crew arrived and began setting up close to 6:30pm. It was a little after 7:30pm when they finished, an hour and a half into my rehearsal dinner. After they left I had to recruit guests to setup tables, chairs, and buffet tables to begin serving food to the hungry crowd. I chose Premiere Events because of their reputation, because of their brand. Their website boasts: "Products aside, what we do best at Premiere Events, is build relationships. Every event is important, but every customer is priceless." I called Deseree on Monday, 4/16, to discuss financial compensation for the late delivery because the level of service did not meet my expectations. I explained my situation and was transferred to Angela, VP of Administration, to discuss financial compensation. My expectation was that I would be reimbursed an amount equivalent to the extra cost I paid for, what I expected to be, superior service. I wanted to be reimbursed the extra cost I paid to use Premiere Events over other Austin rental companies. I explained to Angela that I was paying for not only a product but a service, that I was expecting them to live up to their brand. Angela informed me that I was provided their brand because I was provided a tent that was delivered. I was told that being punctual was not part of what I paid for, that I paid for a tent and received a tent. That my delivery was late, and therefore I would only be reimbursed for the delivery (8.6% of the overall cost). Angela assured me that she had 17 years of experience in her job and that she was confident they delivered what was promised and implied that I was expecting too much. Premiere Events boasts that what they do best is build relationships, that every event is important and that every customer is priceless. Let me assure you, this is not something their company culture values at it's core. It's easy to put a catchy phrase on your website, it's meaningless if you don't live up to these words. Could I go back in time, I would absolutely not use Premiere Events again. Company culture starts from the top, it is up to management to set the example and tone for the team. This company doesn't value "every customer", don't be fooled. UPDATE: Thank you, Delores, for your detailed response and taking my concerns to heart. With regard to your comments concerning the time window, there are many reasons why I had to use the afternoon time window. The morning window was not an option. On your suggestion to spend more money to shrink the time window, we didn't have the luxury of spending extra money if it wasn't necessary. As stated before, we self funded our wedding using our modest incomes. I paid for a 1pm-5pm time window, I paid a company that seemed reliable, and I planned my schedule around the fact that setup might occur as late as 5pm. The bottom line is: Premiere didn't deliver on-time. Premiere communication concerning the delays was inaccurate and poorly managed. Not accounting for traffic and not being aware of my specific schedule on Friday are not legitimate reasons to excuse the late delivery. read more

Premiere was great to work with, we started planning about 1.5 years prior to our wedding day and ultimately needed to work with two specialists. The first was Trace who is no longer at Premiere. He helped us greatly with linens, tables/chairs, silverware, and helped us look at tenting. We then worked with Deseree and it was a smooth transition. She assisted in solidifying our contracts, including tenting. She was wonderful to work with, always replied quickly and was flexible with plans (close to the day of we added furniture rentals and a mirror with seating assignments). If she did have any questions for us, such as our table layout under our tent, she didn't hesitate to ask to make sure it was correct. We had no issues with billing and everyone was pleasant to work with. Premiere even helped get rentals back the night of, which we learned that we had to do a few days before our wedding day (forced by venue despite being told otherwise). We did have to pay extra but that was to no fault of Premiere. The only small thing that was "off" were the burgundy linens on our cocktail tables, they were supposed to be tied at the bottom of the tables to prevent the main linen from blowing to much in the wind at our outdoor venue (and for style) but they were used more like table runners. It truly was such a minor detail that it was not bothersome, still looked nice. Premiere does do their best to get everything right. For instance, the mirror that we had for seating for dining arrived and it was the wrong one, they made sure to bring it back and get the correct mirror, even though it wasn't easy (venue wasn't close). They also assisted in setting up chairs for the ceremony, day of we had to pay extra for it since we apparently weren't contracted for it, but it wasn't too much more and it was not bothersome enough to me to make a big dent in my experience with the team. I unfortunately cannot recommend this company. Despite a discount through our coordinator, I found their prices for linen, furniture rentals, etc much higher than others in the area, so we ended up going with another company for those things. We did however want to rent a tent through them. 10 days (10 freaking days, y'all) before the wedding, they said they would no longer rent the tent to us. They said it would damage the venue, but the tent had even been cleared by the facility manager at our venue! We told them this, but they still refused. Fortunately, they did agree to refund the full amount for the tent, but left us scrambling to find a tent with only ten days and a predicted stormy wedding weekend. Not the kind of stress you need right before your wedding. I would recommend using another company (we were saved by Adam's Canopy, who was able to fit a tent of the exact same dimensions at the venue without issue) and my only regret is that I trusted Premiere in the first place. read more

Ew! I really hate snarky people. Snarky characters are fun to watch in movies, because you know eventually in the end they will get their just deserts. Not this time. Snarky is on the menu at this joint! Unfortunately, both experiences with this group were bad ones. Thought I'd give them a try again today only to find that nothing has changed in the last 6 months since my wedding. Diane is rude, abrupt, curt and unhelpful. The chairs I rented for my wedding, making the reservation THREE FULL MONTHS in advance, were given to me extremely dirty and damaged and were simply thrown into the back of my pickup. I made sure to ask them to note that my wedding was outdoors and these chairs would not be covered in order to preserve the natural feel of the wedding. I rented the off-white 1/2 plastic 1/2 metal chairs. I was so disappointed when I picked them up 2 days before the wedding. My mother and I spent half an afternoon bleaching and washing the chairs. On top of that, Diane just about bit my head off when I asked if I could rent an extra 20 for good measure. Acted as if I'd asked her to give me a foot rub. Not one of the office staff left their seat when I entered the shop to pay for the rental. Not one of them said thank you when I promptly returned the chairs. I've tried using them to get quotes twice since their north location is no close to my office, but each time I am treated with utter disrespect. Diane doesn't deserve your business and doesn't appreciate it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Spend money on your special event with vendors who truly care about your happiness. read more

Premier Party was great, the only reason they aren't getting five stars is because of the condition of the chairs. As far as customer service, they are awesome. Super easy, definitely a good price. We rented five tables and 40 chairs from them for a birthday party for my husband. Pick up and drop off were a breeze and everyone I dealt with was very friendly. I don't recommend using them if you aren't planning on using chair covers. We got the off white samsonite chairs and they looked disgusting. Paint chipped from the metal and discoloration on the plastic. I realize they get used a ton and are probably hard to keep nice. I also realize that most people who rent chairs are probably doing a larger even like a wedding so the chairs are more than likely covered. We, however, were just doing a BBQ at our house and as such, left were not renting chair covers. I was really disappointed by the state of the chairs but like I said, not a deterrent if you are using some kind of covering. All in all, I had a good experience with them, I just wish the chairs were in better shape. read more

I rented linens, chairs, and serving dishes for a bridal shower I threw. Everything was in very good condition, and the service representative (Michelle) was super helpful and friendly. Pick up and drop off was easy. I did this at the very last minute (two days before the event), and had no trouble getting the selection I wanted. I felt like my relatively small event 35 people was just as important to them as a big wedding would have been. read more

My wife and I got married 4 years ago. We used Premier Party Central for renting of all of tables, linens, silverware, plates (much more) and we rented their hall (Texas Star Event Center). We used them because of their great availability and nice facility. My wife and I ended up spending a little over $39,000 to be COMPLETELY RUINED by the event manager! It has taken us 4 years to post this warning because it has been something that has profoundly affected my wife! They stopped our wedding just as the dancing had begun. They first approached me and said, "you well exceed your contracted limit, we will not let anyone else come in" and I said it was fine. No more than one hour later I was bulled away from dancing with my wife and was asked to go outside. I at that time was told that people were coming in through the emergency doors, and I said "lock them". They explained they couldn't for fire department safety. We agreed that my wedding planner staff was going to help them keep an eye on the doors, and I went back in to enjoy my wedding. Finally, my wedding planner comes up to me and says "WE HAVE A PROBLEM". I uncertain of what was happening, followed her. My wedding planner took me to the event manager from the hall/party central and the Sherrif. I was told that they could not stop people from continuously coming in, and they were going to stop my wedding. They told me "you have 20 minutes, start saying you goodbyes or we will turn on the lights and stop the wedding". As I stood there shocked and not knowing what to do, I began to negotiate with them. They first said "we can't let the party continue due to fire department regulations" they then said "give us $2,500 and we will allow you to continue the party" . So, me not being able to get them $2,500 on the spot, they shut my wedding down and I couldn't do anything about it, my wife cried all night and in our honeymoon. To this day, she can't watch our wedding video or photo album without crying. We couldn't peruse legal action because their contract is VERY WELL written. We have video and images of how the event manager contradicted herself and our videos and images show that there wasn't over 200 people in the building, but our attorney said it was useless because of the contract we signed. Just be careful when signing their contract and agreements! They also stopped our wedding and caused us humiliation and they still have the nerve to use the photos of our wedding on their stores, ballrooms, show's and advertising! Be careful!! read more

I used Premier North for just a few table clothes for a bridal shower. The service was excellent. Diane helped me with fabrics and color selection just as if I was placing a huge order. They allowed me to return the items on Tuesday because of a scheduling problem on my end. I couldn't have been happier with the experience. I will definitely use them again. read more
