I have been in contact with this rental company for a couple of months. Planning a sporting event in Austin for college athletes. I was so excited to work with them being that they had great reviews and prices. After receiving a quote and policies, a week before my event they told me they could not deliver the table and chair rentals on the day that was agreed upon and written on my quote. I am a week away from my event and had to cancel because they did not follow through with our agreement. If you are going to book with this company, make sure they are able to provide service correctly. This is unprofessional and a waist of my time. read more

We rented a tent last minute for a backyard baby shower and loved how quickly we received a reply back to our correspondence. Was delivered and picked up on time. Only negative thing I would have to say is, how the woman made such a big deal of where they were willing to drop it off. The guy who was actually leaving the tent was more than happy to put the tent where we asked him to, which was a little farther than the 50 ft specified in the contract. But after he had already placed the tent where we asked him to, she came to our back yard for I can only assume was to inspect where it was left off at. She kept telling my husband that it should have been left by our back yard gate and was so rude about it. The delivery guy could have said no but he didn't and she was scolding my husband like a child. It was really awkward because we felt like she wanted the delivery guy to back and pick up the tent from where he left it and put it back by the fence gate. Other than that, communication was great, easy payment methods, and the product was clean and sturdy. I would even say the customer service was good except for that older lady with the short light brownish hair. She is enough to make me not want to rent from this company again. I called yesterday and placed an order and was sent a quote. I emailed this morning to confirm. When I called to follow up (10 mins later) was told they didn't have what I wanted but they'd substitute. I said "at no charge?" And she said they'd charge me for the additional items they were substituting. I asked to speak with the Manager and was told "he doesn't take calls". I had to laugh. )I've been in the hospitality business for 30+ years and if the boss doesn't take calls, there's a problem.) I said if I couldn't speak with her manager, I'd have to cancel and go elsewhere to which she replied "I'd recommend you do that." Way to close the sale! I work in the hotel industry. I call Texas Party rental and received a price that was 1/3 of the other quotes and they delivered and picked up the chairs to boot. We used Texas Party Rental for our April wedding in the Umlauf Sculpture Gardens. Once you contact them, be ready to decide because they give you a 20% discount if you book quickly. We got 2 set of chairs (plastic and padded wooden chairs), tables, and linens for 80 people. I had some difficulty getting in touch with them- but when it came down to it, their price was really good and they got the job done well. The week before the wedding we got our updated quote. We sent them a map of our venue that we sent to our caterer as well, and everything was there where we needed it. It made me a little worried when they were a little slow to get back to us but they did everything fine and didn't call me the day of (which I was very grateful for). read more

I had been referred by a former bride(She was Hispanic). She raved about this business and how incredibly low their prices were. She had the exact amount of tables linens that I needed. It's important to note that her wedding was only two months prior to mine. She gave me her total price for 20 rectangular silver linens which came to $150. I made my appointment with Ellen who was very helpful and kind. She emailed me the next day with a quote. $300 for the 20 rectangular silver linens, $90 for 120 napkins & $81.25 for 5 racks of water goblets. A grand total of $561.15. I was confused as to the pricing and called Ellen back to make sure she had given me the correct quote. She said she would look into it and call me back. I then decided to call a different high end linen rental place and they gave me a quote immediately over the phone for $250. The coordinator laughed at quote that Tx Party Rental gave me and told me in a polite way that they've been known to give hidden discounts to Hispanic clients and inflate prices for Whites. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I've never done a review on Yelp before; but I felt strongly that future brides deserve to know what kind of a business they run. People shouldn't be taken advantage of simply because a business can get away with it. So here's my experience and hopefully it will help someone out there. read more

Too many hidden charges! And zero on customer service. Let's begin by saying I am never going to cater from them again. The women I spoke to on several occasion was rude. There is no customer service. They do not even make an attempt to make you happy. They initially offered me 10% discount, that disappeared later in the week. The tables were dirty that I had to clean up myself before the event. The chairs were wobbly and flimsy. I paid for pick up but while I was on the phone, the lady I was speaking to never made an attempt to tell me she wanted the chairs strapped while pick-up and charged me additional amount. On the phone, she was sarcastic and rude to me. No one wants additional stress with a party planning. There are plenty of party rentals who give you good service and cheaper rates AND are polite. Don't waste your time, money and energy with them!!! Wish there was an option for zero stars. read more

Cheapest rental company around - but here's why: their communication skills are lacking. I would recommend them if you don't anticipate ANY changes to your order and don't mind a 2-week (or more) turnaround on emails sent or unanswered phone calls (can be a little stressful for a bride trying to make changes because of RSVPs coming in in the final two weeks before the wedding). We had a FANTASTIC experience!!! I emailed to inquire, received a reply within an hour, and a follow up phone call. We were very delighted with the pricing, and getting exactly what we wanted for our three year old's birthday party. I purchased a Groupon and rented a cotton candy machine and a popcorn machine from this company. Both machines did not work properly and we could not use them at my daughters birthday party. This business is a scam! I ordered products from them and they charged my card with out authorization. We set up a time to come pick the products that we ordered up 3 times and every time we showed up ( we set an appointment to come pick up) they were not there. I asked to get my money back and was told that in my contract they do not give refunds on " customer cancelling the order" in less than 24 hours. We never cancelled the order, we tried to come pick up our products three different times and no one from the business was present. The worst part is they charged my card for a delivery fee and additional products with out consent. They had my information from a previous order and felt it was there right to just charge me with out asking. Upon asking for full refund they said they would be "gracious" and give me 50% back. It's like if a thief stole your things, came back in the middle of the night and gave you half stuff back and asked YOU to thank them for being so gracious. Worst customer experience I've ever had.
