Party On Texas

After taking a look at their hours, I gave Marissa a phone call a little bit after her listed hours and she answered with such a friendly attitude and very willing to help. The event date was less than two weeks away and with her large inventory she was able to fulfill my entire request. From stanchions to wooden chairs and cocktail tables, Party On Texas had my event covered. I also rented and paid a service fee to have a 10x10 tent setup and staked down (thank goodness because it was super windy that day), as well as, a few orange cones and tables. What stood out to me was how they were willing to do a same day delivery and pickup without charging an abhorrent amount. I also appreciated how the delivery fee was less than a $100 and not some crazy amount which I've been quoted from other companies. I will definitely be coming back for my future event needs and think y'all should too!

But my other girlfriend advised against it because I don't have a covered patio, and the wood would get ruined. Mariel V. suggested Marissa at Party on Texas. I paid $72 for ten chairs and an 8' table. My guests sat outside on the patio to eat! I had 39 people inside my 2100 square foot house and the ten chairs and table were perfect. I also really like the idea of not having to hoard or store furniture I can't use regularly.

I work for a school and wanted to rent the rock climbing wall for an event, and they made the entire process incredibly easy. Communication was excellent, they allowed me to make payments, and they even arrived early to make sure everything was set up in time for the event. They were very kind and always checked in with me before making any moves. They also gave us compliments on how organized we were, which was an added bonus! I will definitely be using them again.

COST = 3 stars, although YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR…read moreCOMMUNICATION / CUSTOMER SERVICE = 1 Double-barrel Margarita machine reserved for June 28, 9am-6pm, to be delivered the morning of 6/28. COMMUNICATION HISTORY/ISSUES: Received a text (from 737-383-xxxx) on Tuesday, 6/24, reminding me of the machine rental. At this time, I asked if payment needed to be made before drop off, or at time of drop off. The response I received was that I was set up on 'auto pay' and my card was set to be charged Thursday, 6/26. I received receipt of payment on WEDNESDAY night (the day before payment was scheduled), so I then confirmed that my card was in fact charged on Wednesday, rather than Thursday. During that same text thread, I received confirmation that the machine would be delivered Saturday morning, 6/28 (as initially scheduled). On THURSDAY, 6/26 afternoon, I received an email with a link to REMIT PAYMENT (however payment had been received the day before). Wednesday, 6/25, I received a text asking if the machine could be delivered Friday, rather than Saturday, to which I said was fine. On Friday, 6/27, at 6:02pm, (after the machine had already been delivered and set up), I received a text 'reminding me' of the scheduled delivery for Saturday, 6/28. Thursday, 6/26 at 11:30am received text that said: "Hey Amy, we are looking to arrive around 10-12 tomorrow to get you all set up" (text received from: 512-987-xxxx) - this message suggested (and it was never communicated differently) that the machine was to be 'set up' and ready for use. There was no 'instruction or tutorial' on how to operate the machine, nor was it every communicated that the temperature would need to be adjusted. Additionally, there would have been NO REASON to think than adjustment was needed, as HALF of the machine was working properly - the issue was only with one half of the machine. One side of the machine chilled, but never froze, and would stop rotating after 10 minutes , while the side that WAS WORKING PROPERLY never stopped rotating, and once frozen, remained so for the duration of the event. It was not until after the machine had been picked up, via text, that someone said the temperature could have needed adjusting. To expect customers to manipulate EXPENSIVE machines and run the possibility of doing damage (and being charged for the damage) is absurd. DROP OFF/PICK UP AND MACHINE ISSUES: Machine was set up Friday mid-morning, however one of the lids was not included so someone was to bring the lid at some point on Friday. At no point during the drop off and set up of machine, did anyone give instructions on how to operate the machine - it was simply communicated that 'everything is set up and ready to go'. Friday, 6/27 at 7:46pm received text "I'm with Centex I'm in route to deliver the top of your margarita machine. ETA 8:10am (text received from: 512-201-xxxx) Saturday, 6/28 at 1:00pm text that included video of right side of machine not working was sent to the last number that we received a text from (512-201-xxxx) Saturday evening, 2 employees showed up at 7:10pm to pick up the machine - we reported the issue to them as well, and their response was "I'm not surprised but if you contact the office, they'll be able to provide some sort of compensation" When asked for some type of compensation (I did not ask for a full refund, but rather 50% since one of the two sides did work properly, so the issue was with HALF of the machine), the response I received was: "we started the margarita machine up today (Monday) and everything worked as it should..... We are disappointed that your experience wasn't great but we cant issue any credit since the machine works as it should..." RED FLAGS: 1.TONS of miscommunication 2. text messages received from MULTIPLE / different numbers - no idea what number was the 'right' number to be using 3. Reserved / Paid for machine = "Operation Jump" ; 'Centex" = Delivered the machine 4. Based on the response from the 2 who picked up machine, this appears to be a common occurrence

I had a venue booked for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary... then came COVID…read more The venue cut to 50% capacity, which made it too small. I had to cancel and re-think everything. The venue needed to be large enough to accommodate distancing, catering and food service was sketchy since many places closed, local restrictions were fluid and I didn't live in the city where the event would be held. At one point, I thought we wouldn't be able to celebrate more than having a small dinner. It was discouraging. Then I found Milestone Memories and Events. I had a good feeling about Geri after our first phone call. The second call confirmed my initial impression. I needed someone with experience and good judgment that I could trust for advice. After all, large events take hundreds of decisions and bad choices can create bad experiences for all the guests. To give context, the guest list was 250 people. Given the circumstances, I estimated 100-150 would attend. The final RSVP count came in at 140. This was not a small event and we pulled it off in four months! Here are just a few highlights of my great experience with Milestone Memories: - We developed a budget, and came in under - They got to know us and designed decor and settings to match (my mom loved everything!) - Everything LOOKED AMAZING, tables, center pieces, lighting, photo backdrop, entry tables - All the logistics like how people enter, move, exit, accounting for seating, everything was great - They found the venue, catering, music and negotiated many details so I only made major decisions. I can't tell you how important that is because it can be overwhelming dealing with multiple contracts when the event is personal. - They took care of my parents and were so thoughtful of all their needs on the day of the event - Excellent communication throughout Geri and her staff are genuine, caring people and I'm so thankful we met. Don't misunderstand, she's a skilled project manager and straight forward communicator that will take care of business! What I mean is she thought of details that I could never have thought of. For example, she created a space for my parents to rest before the event and stocked it with a beautiful snack tray. She arranged a "Grand Entrance" which turned out amazing. My parents had a "first dance", and I mean they had never danced in public before, even at their wedding. This was Geri's idea and it made such an impact! This is the longest review I've written and it is still too short. What a great 4 month journey this was with Geri to create such a memorable celebration for my parents! People are still talking about it a week later. I still get emails and texts complimenting how great it was, and we have the best pictures to help us remember. Here's are a few things people are saying: "elegant", "fun", "relaxed", "beautiful", "amazing!"... My mom and dad loved everything! After working with Geri and her team for 4 months, I 100% recommend them to anyone needing a spectacular event!
