The flowers used were visibly cheaper substitutions -- different varieties, different look, different feel -- nothing close to the arrangement pictured on their website. When I raised the issue, instead of acknowledging the discrepancy or offering to remake the arrangement, Lynsey tried gaslighting saying that the flowers were beautiful and offered to pick up the bouquet & refund the money. They also knew the flowers were a gift for a friend's cancer surgery. They have no accountability or compassion. If you're spending serious money on flowers for a special occasion, I'd strongly caution against ordering here. What you see is not what you get. 1st image is what was delivered, 2nd image is what I thought I was purchasing.

I plan to stop by to visit them tomorrow and wanted to bring them flowers as a Mother's Day treat. They had an assortment of floral selections variegated carnations, roses, peonies, azaleas, to name just a few. One steam ranged from $1.25 upwards. For the quality of their flowers, that was a very good price. I will pop back by tomorrow to pick the freshest ones before my visit. My mother is no longer living. During Mother's Day I try to remember other mothers because to have your mom is such a huge blessing. The senior ladies at Atria are like an extension of my own family. When you do thoughtful for things for them, they just light up, which is heartwarming.

Not only did they deliver in under four hours, but the flowers were absolutely gorgeous and incredibly fresh. I've ordered from other florists before where the arrangements looked like they were on their last leg--these looked like they'd been picked that same day. Excellent service and beautiful flowers. I'll definitely be ordering from them again and would highly recommend!

There are no prices listed on the items she handed me. It rang up for $50, but the employee had already wrapped it all up before pricing it. Felt I had no option but to pay. Wish there were at least a few better priced options so it's easier to support business like this, and wished the employees were more transparent. For reference, exact same bouquet at central market is about $22. Mother's day markup? Idk

I went in looking for one glorious Casablanca stem, which retail for $10 to $25 at most florists in the US, IF you can find them. This is a flower that can't be found in Austin, Texas. Instead, I walked out with an armful of Casablancas - some withered, banged up and stained - for a price that was so unbelievable that I'm not even going to share it here. When I got home and appraised my purchase, I realized that I had approximately 10 mostly extraordinary stems along with several throwaways. Austin Flower sells wholesale and retail flowers to people willing to make their own arrangements... or folks like me who are obsessed with Casablanca flowers. Do not come here expecting a lot of service. Come here if you are looking for flowers you cannot find anywhere else in the city. You might be bitterly disappointed. Shopping here is a little tricky. It's not likely that you will get what you came for. Or you might walk out feeling like you've robbed a bank.

In route to a bookstore, I noticed the succulent store and decided to pop in. Succulent Native is a plant boutique in Austin, Texas, specializing in succulents, cacti, and creative plant arrangements. Quite honestly, I never knew that there were so many permutations of succulents. I actually believe I might be able to keep a succulent alive since they require little maintenance. I learned from the store manager that they host succulent parties. That would be a cool way to spend time with family and friends. In addition, while they have some beautiful plants, some can be a bit pricey. With that said, there is a section of the store that has some reasonably priced smaller plants. There's a little something for everyone.

While ultimately I decided not to purchase a floral arrangement with Blackbird Floral today, the positive personal interaction with Lea made me want to purchase an arrangement in the future. Their prices are slightly higher than their competitors. I liked that they had some exotic flowers I do not normally see. Look forward to purchasing a Blackbird Floral arrangement in the future...

I was able to find real bamboo mats (2'x5') for just $1.75 a piece, an unheard of price! And a cute dolphin wind chime. Perfect for my balcony. Whether the shop is actually open is hit or miss being that he frequently travels to his home country but if you're able to catch it open it's worth a look inside.

We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.
