The arrangement my mom received was a weird arrangement of roses and orchids. It was not at all what we had ordered, but it was one of the pre-made designs offered on their website. Much more expensive than what we ordered, as well. This year on Valentine's Day, I was very specific in the way I explained what I wanted...11 red roses and one white rose ONLY and nothing else. She received the same bizarre arrangement as she had the year before. I called and spoke with Katy. I told her what had happened - twice - and let her know we would no longer use them. She offered to send my mom a new arrangement like we had ordered in the first place, and I said she did not need two arrangements, so she offered a credit, which I accepted. Only because we had a credit, my siblings and I decided to order our mom's Mother's Day arrangement from them. I left a voicemail yesterday inquiring about the amount of the credit. By this afternoon, no one had called me back. I called them today and was told there were notes on our account but nothing about a credit. I was put on hold and eventually the system disconnected the call. Katy did call me back. She read me the notes on the account, much of which I had not said. This is a strange way to run a business. There are way too many good florists in Austin to waste your time and money on this one.

This was so easy so I was a little nervous on how everything would turn out. But to my joy, the arrangement and vase and yes, the three peonies were beautiful! Striking! Perfect! I was so excited to have stumbled upon The Flower Girl who truly is a LOCAL business! I would strongly recommend giving this creative gem a try with your next important flower arrangement. She was incredibly…read moreresponsive, answered all of my questions quickly, and was so patient as we fine-tuned every detail along the way. I shared a Pinterest board full of inspiration and ideas, and she put together a design proposal that incorporated so many of those images. As someone who likes to know exactly how things are going to look, it was tempting to ask for every little detail of how the inspiration would translate into the final arrangements. Instead, I trusted Cheryl's creativity and expertise to bring everything together, and I'm so glad I did. When we walked through the venue before the wedding, I was thrilled with how everything looked, and somehow it was even more beautiful on the wedding day. We intentionally kept our florals fairly minimal, using bud vases, candles, and repurposing our ceremony flowers for the reception. Even with that approach, the space felt full, elegant, and intentional--you never would have guessed we had taken a more minimalist approach. Everything was exactly as I had envisioned, and we received so many compliments on the flowers and overall design. Cheryl has an incredible eye for bringing inspiration to life, and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. I would recommend Stems to any couple looking for beautiful florals and an attentive, collaborative florist.

The flowers she brought were nothing like what had been discussed for over a year. You would think meeting with a vendor multiple times and providing the exact colors, type of bouquets, etc with pictures would be enough. Jean was so excited about the dark moody theme. It would be a first for her. Well - her actions, reactions and flowers came across as a "first" ever wedding. The price charged and the flowers received were way off. The excuse of I wanted to try something different is ridiculous. Who does that to a bride? Jean does. Pictures to prove it. Mind you red was not one of the colors... She truly listened to what I wanted and executed my vision beyond what I actually expected. Jeannie is personable and easy to talk to throughout the process. She also worked with us and our budget, and was able to show us how we could have the wedding of our dreams, and in a sense could truly have it all! Jordan made us feel as though she understood exactly what we wanted, and I had all the faith she would deliver. That being said, the final product on the day of our wedding blew us away!
