I have been to this restaurant before but I was very unhappy this time I brought a friend who had never been there for her birthday the waiter was not accommodating in anyway I asked him about the salad with the salmon on it I said I want to center cut but I didn't wanna butterflied he said they have center cut and that's what I would get the food came in that was fine they didn't do anything for my friends birthday OK if they're not doing that anymore I accept that but then he gave me the bill and it was 6 dollars extra because I had a center cut after he told me that the salmon is center cut ( all I change is I didn't wanna butterfly) He took it off my bill but I really didn't like his attitude made me very uncomfortable and a very unhappy customer I will not be returning read more

Went there tonight for my birthday and the food is excellent. I hate to say this : the service was lacking in etiquette.

Stopped in for lunch right off Worth st and had a wonderful meal at the bar. The artichoke was perfect and had a light lunch of stir fried veggies, coleslaw and chef salad. All great portions and refreshing flavors! I would go again! read more

Once again the woman at the restaurant door Mc Kenzie was probably one of the most unsuitable people to be at the door. Rude, she does not show any signs of being hospitable and welcoming to the restaurant. Yes, the restaurant was busy. She just looked and behaved angrily. I asked for a table for 2 and she wouldn't let me finish what I wanted to say. I had to ask her 3 times to let me finish. I guess that is something that we are taught by our parents. I know it may be difficult to recruit and train polite, courteous hosts to be at the door. Great outdoor seating area that is still covered. The bar is a great place to meet people. Food was fabulous. Same menu as the River house in palm beach gardens. The oysters are very fresh. Tuna Tartare also very fresh! Got the butter crab sushi Rolls. It's a must have! Soooo good! Also the bread pudding to die for! read more

Never actually got to eat-the service and organization of the restaurant was a disaster. We were seated, and for ten minutes we did not even get so much as a glass of water. When my wife pointed this out to the maitre d and mentioned that two groups who were seated after us had been served, she was told someone would be right with us. After another ten minutes, during which two other groups who were seated after us were served, we just left. I indicated to the Maitre D why we were leaving- she was sarcastic and unapologetic. Should have stayed at The Breakers for dinner. We had a drink there then went to BrickTop's, Palm Beach. We were excited as we are local and have been before. We had a reservation for 7:15 pm and were told we had to wait for our table. Our table was probably the worst table in the restaurant. A table for two just outside in the doorway and near the outside bar seating. Guests and wait staff had to pass by our table all night long. Also, we were right next to the roll of paper that the wait staff would come by and grab a large piece of paper to put on the tables when resetting the table. We ordered a drink with one server and he told us hour waiter would be by to take our order. The waiter showed up and asked if we were ready to order. No greeting, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, how are you? Nothing. We needed a bit more time and he said he would be back. He returned, took our order and as he breezed off we think he mentioned his name was Tim if we needed anything. Food was fine, the usual, I ordered salmon and corn and my husband ordered chicken and Brussels sprouts. We ordered a dessert and left. The waiter acted like it was just a job, no enthusiasm at all. We would have preferred to dine inside the restaurant as the ambiance is much nicer. So, our experience was nothing special and we don't have a huge desire to return. We know it is a busy time for restaurants, etc., but that doesn't mean we have to feel like the wait staff is uncaring and they are there for just a paycheck. This place was quite disappointing. I do not recommend coming here. The waitress who brought us to the table threw our menus down on the table, miscounted the number of people in our party and took away one of our waters, when we asked for one back, she rolled her eyes and walked away without a response. One of us ordered the burrata and heirloom tomato salad without the burrata due to dietary restrictions. They were happy to accommodate, and the dish was delicious. I ordered the seared Ahi tuna steak, which came with a side of stir fried vegetables. Both were rather flavorless and neither came with a sauce or dressing. Three people ordered steaks, and each one of them was overdone. One of us ordered a medium rare and it came out well done. He immediately sent the dish back, and it came out 20 minutes later, after everyone else had long finished their meals. Overall a negative experience. Would not recommend. read more

Great lunch spot on the island! Decor is classy, bartenders where white coats and the hospitality is very inviting! We sat at the bar and our young lady bartender was fantastic! Service was flawless. Lobster Bisque was rich and packed with lobster bites! Delicious. Steak And Fries were cooked perfect! Needed to add a bit more salt to taste but the maiterD butter on top was yummy yum yum! Salads are ice cold and fresh! Excellent flavor and seasoning. Great energy lunch crowd and surprisingly very fair prices! I hate being taken advantage of by island prices when it's just ok food. The food was great! CAn not argue with that. However, my entire afternoon there was ruined by the lack of respect from manager. Our server was excellent. Again, the manager made us feel like second class citizens. His rudeness is enough to keep us away and I would recommned any touist stay away cause it is obvious that if he does not know you, then you are screwed. thank goodness our neal was almost over as we would have had to leave. How can anyone give this place less than four stars? Amazing the attitudes or perspectives some people have about quality, service and good taste. Perhaps they went at a busy time and the service suffered as can happen at any popular restaurant? However, to say the food and its presentation (see my pics) was anything but excellent tells me someone is a competitor or has a chip on their shoulder for some reason. We went for lunch and shared the tuna tartare for an appetizer followed by a bowl of lobster bisque. My wife then had the cobb salad and I had the club sandwich. Perhaps we didn't challenge the chef much, but all our food was wonderfully presented and tasted as good as it looked. All were FIVE stars in my opinion and I've been to many fine restaurants around the country over more years than I care to admit. We had a lovely lunch and Brian (a "Boston Boy"), our waiter, was friendly and attentive. It wasn't too busy in very late April and he explained that it was the beginning of the "off season" in Palm Beach. So all was very relaxed and still cool enough to enjoy the covered patio that adjoins a large indoor/outdoor bar. I bet that's lively in the evenings... IF, I was going to whine about something it might only be the tab at the end. Brick Top's deserves every one of its three "$'s", but hey, you typically get what you pay for in life and you're in Palm Beach near Worth Avenue, not Daytona Beach near the racetrack! Awesome dinner. Nice ambiance I loved the food. The area is very nice and welcoming. My wife wanted to go here she went to one in North Carolina and she loved the warm bread pudding desert. That was the whole reason for our trip to West Palm Beach. Very nice staff no issues we got there just before the rush. It got busy but the service was still did not disappoint. I had the prime rib dinner with fries and a wedge salad. The wedge salad was very hardy and better than any other I've had. The prime rib was perfect medium rare and seasoned well. My wife had the meatloaf with whipped mashed potatoes and a side Caesar salad. All turned out well. My son had the tavern burger, he said it was good. All in all we enjoyed our meal and did not feel rushed at all. We were relaxed and would recommend this to anyone. read more

Consistent quality in service, cleanliness, and food keeps me coming back. Esp. during the pandemic. Also the grilled artichokes. They keep the menu steady with classics. They changed a side option on the menu from broccoli to broccolini so I would almost deduct a star for that (I love their salmon with a side of broccoli!) but I don't want to seem snitty. Food is definitely 4+ here, in my opinion, and I'm surprised by the mixed reviews. I have been there a couple of times now, both times for lunch, and have been very pleased with my meals. The salads and sandwiches have been delicious- fresh, flavorful, and good portion size. The have significant outdoor space in two different areas. Service had been super attentive and friendly. We were there late afternoon, not many customers. Plenty of opportunity for attentive service which we did not get. The toasted bread sandwich arrived cold with wet mushy bread and too much oil and butter used and they let it sit too long. Drinks took a long time. Overall just OK. As a restaurant, you only get one chance to make a first impression. The staff seemed to have no concern about customer satisfaction. We don't usually send things back, we just don't come back. Nice place, full of pretense, though way less the dog-and-pony show than, say, Swifty's. Loved the crab/avocado "tower" salad and loved my peachy cocktail. Pal had the turkey avocado sandwich, which was delicious. They have elegant toothpick fries and crisp onion rings. We were seated outside, with a hostess clearing a vacated table for us. While briefly waiting, another hostess asked if we'd been helped, then told us it would be a long wait for outside...only to have the first gal come back to seat us. Ok. Waitress was delightful. Like that the outside dining is covered, although sun in January is low enough to make the tables/seats on the edge feel the sun. Great option for lunch in WPB. As an aside, the restroom was interesting (very clean). The wall paper in the ladies room had all these statements that appeared to allude to divorce or broken relationships (e.g., "starting again, again"). The Vichyssoise special was really good. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were an upscale version of a home classic. The food here is serviceable, but it's not the most exciting cuisine. They do classics solidly. The dining room is large and incredibly loud. It's really difficult to have a conversation and my date and i spent the night shouting at each other and repeating everything we were saying because neither of us could hear. That spoiled a meal that could have been better. read more
