Yours truly and two of my associates
sandy k.

Enjoyed my Birthday at the Palm Beach Grill I had the absolute BEST steak (STEAK FRITES - USDA PRIME* hand-selected rib-eye) I've had in ages. The server, Susie, was outstanding! It's been quite a long time since I was last there, I have to admit, it was even better than I remembered!

Let's just go ahead and call it....Palm Beach Grill is one of those restaurants: the kind that lives up to the hype, keeps your taste buds dancing, and makes every reservation totally worth the effort. This was my second (or maybe third?) time dining here, and once again, they delivered a truly memorable culinary experience. I kicked off the night with their fried oysters, which were crispy, tender, and taken up a notch with some extra hot sauce...a chef's kiss. For entrées, we had a table split between two standouts: The Red Snapper with Rock Shrimp, served with mashed potatoes and sweet cole slaw, hands down my favorite dish on their menu. The fish was perfectly cooked, the shrimp added a pop of flavor, and the sides rounded it out beautifully. The Shrimp Creole with Basmati Rice was rich and comforting, though I'll admit the sauce leaned a little sweeter than expected. At first taste, I wondered if ketchup snuck its way into the kitchen (gasp!), but more likely, it was just extra sweet tomatoes doing their thing. Still tasty, but just a note for next time. No cocktails for me on this visit...I've hit pause on drinking, but with food this good, who needs alcohol clouding the flavor anyway? From the ambiance to the impeccable service and consistent food quality, Palm Beach Grill remains a must-visit dining destination. Just make sure to book early... because once you've been, you'll want to go back. Over and over again.

The Seared Ahi Tuna Salad is a 10/10. The fries with the seasoning are fantastic. The Grilled Artichokes as also delicious. The options for glasses of white wine could be better, as well as the dessert options (there is only one -- Key Lime Pie). Make sure to make a reservation before going. There is plenty of available parking.

We came here for Valentine's Day and decided to show up an hour early because our reso was pretty late. We had a drink at the bar and ended up getting seated 27 minutes before our reso :) we had drinks at the bar we didn't love and the bartenders kindly changed our drinks with no issue. Once seated, everything we ordered we loved and was delicious. Perfect environment for a date night!

As a longtime Hillstone enthusiast who's dined at their locations coast to coast, I can confidently say Palm Beach Grill continues to uphold everything I love about the brand -- consistency, warmth, and truly outstanding food. We recently visited for a celebratory dinner, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was pitch-perfect: elegant but unpretentious, buzzing with conversation yet somehow serene. That signature Hillstone lighting, plush booths, and attentive pacing make it the kind of place where time slows down and you savor the entire experience. Our server, Kiersten, was an absolute standout -- the kind of professional who reads the table instantly and makes you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time. Her timing, recommendations, and warmth elevated the night from great to unforgettable. The refresher glasses for your martini just when you are about to think of it. We began with the classic Caesar salad, crisp and cold with a sharp anchovy-forward dressing -- just the way I love it. You can taste the attention to detail in every component, down to the housemade croutons. For the main course, I couldn't resist the Palm Beach Hot Dog -- iconic for a reason. Snappy, smoky, served on a perfect bun with sides that don't feel like afterthoughts. It might sound simple, but it's pure nostalgia-meets-culinary-execution. Across the table, the Scottish salmon arrived glistening, seared to that elusive medium-rare perfection, flaking gently with each forkful. Accompanied by seasonal vegetables that were anything but filler, it was a dish you'd expect at a white-tablecloth seafood house. Dessert was incredible, well curated cake. A special thank you to Nagelli, the GM, who checked in toward the end of the meal with genuine interest and hospitality. The follow-up and warmth we received showed a level of care that's increasingly rare in hospitality -- it reminded me why Hillstone remains in a class of its own. To the kitchen staff: bravo. Every element of our meal -- from temperature to seasoning to presentation -- was flawless. There's something deeply comforting about knowing that every plate will reflect pride and precision. Palm Beach Grill isn't just a great restaurant -- it's a standard bearer. Whether you're celebrating, hosting out-of-town guests, or simply craving a great night out, this is the place. We'll be back soon. Again and again.

Best and biggest kosher hot dog ever.

This is a Houston's restaurant, and that alone should be enough to tell you how great this place is. I've had just about everything on the menu. It's all great. The food is consistent every time and always DELICIOUS. Only dish I was not crazy about was their "little bird," which I think I remember it's like a rotisserie chicken (which they have great rotisserie chicken (in salads), except for this "little bird"). Maybe it was a one-off, but I didn't love it. Ribs, burgers, all salads, shrimp and grits, hot dog, oysters, etc., all great. And their sundae for dessert, if you have room. Great cocktails, too. Make a reservation. Service has been hit or miss last several times with respect to server disappearing for period of time, not checking in to see if we need more drinks, but could be they are new and not trained well enough. Dimly lit, warm, intimate atmosphere. Worthy of 5 stars.

I'm not here to diminish anyone else's experience, but rather to share my own honestly and constructively. Situations like this should serve as a learning opportunity for upper-level management, especially when the level of service and leadership falls below even basic expectations. We ordered a filet mignon that lacked the tenderness I would expect from a restaurant claiming this caliber of dining. We also ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had that unmistakable metallic, pungent flavor that immediately signals the fish is not fresh and should not be consumed further. We brought the issue to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged it initially but never returned to follow up. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. Sometimes I genuinely think managers at places like this should spend time training in environments where hospitality is treated as an art form rather than an inconvenience. The following day, I was still disappointed enough to write this review. At a certain point, guests should not have to spend over $200 while simultaneously educating a restaurant on how to deliver proper service and quality control. With an abundance of superior restaurants nearby, this is not a place I would return to, even if offered a complimentary meal. Don't chance it.

It was right saltiness with a little kick of the spice. You also get a big prawn on the glass edge. The deep tomato red and prawns soft pink kicked out our appetite. Following the drink, our grilled fish, blackened fish and sealed scallop were all fantastic. Ingredients were so fresh with right temperature and the aroma of the ocean. Fish was soft and juicy; scallops were tender with a nice texture. Especially the scallops sauce was amazing! It was based on tangy ginger and sweet peppers. Every bite gave me a great flavor. Our server was super friendly. He always had a big smile on his face and cared about our food also drinks. The whole dining room was decorated modern yet classic, comfortable seats and high sense dining tables. From window seats, you can enjoy a fabulous ocean view. I do wish they would lighted up a bit more on waterfront sidewalk for a romantic night. I do have some suggestions: it would be great if the salad bowls were served cold. And, I think they should not put pork bacon inside the Bloody Mary since not everyone takes pork. It's just a little nod to respect. Overall, it was fantastic! Out of the world experience. We will definitely come back again with family and friends.

After one meal here, it was easy to understand why it's considered one of the most sought-after restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and vibrant without feeling overly loud, and the service was polished, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. The menu encourages sharing, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with the lobster aquachile, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The lobster was tender, and the bright citrus flavors paired perfectly with the avocado and vegetables. It was a refreshing and memorable way to begin the meal. Next came the beef empanada and pork taco. The empanada was rich and flavorful with perfectly cooked beef and a crisp exterior, while the pork taco packed an impressive amount of flavor into a single bite. Both were excellent examples of why Buccan has developed such a strong reputation for its small plates. One of the highlights of the evening was the squid ink orecchiette. The pasta was perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, savory sauce that brought everything together. It was one of those dishes that makes you immediately start planning your next visit. For a larger plate, I ordered the prime beef burger, which was outstanding. The beef was juicy and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the fries were perfectly crisp. It may seem unusual to order a burger at one of Palm Beach's most acclaimed restaurants, but this one absolutely deserves the attention it receives. What impressed me most about Buccan was the consistency across every dish. Nothing felt like an afterthought. From the creative seafood dishes to the comfort-food favorites, every plate was executed with care and attention to detail. Palm Beach has no shortage of excellent dining options, but Buccan stands out as a restaurant that successfully combines creativity, quality ingredients, and flawless execution. If you're visiting the area, this is a reservation worth making well in advance. Recommended: Lobster Aquachile, Beef Empanada, Pork Taco, Squid Ink Orecchiette, Prime Beef Burger, and don't skip the fries. One of the best meals we had during our trip.
