Let's just go ahead and call it....Palm Beach Grill is one of those restaurants: the kind that lives up to the hype, keeps your taste buds dancing, and makes every reservation totally worth the effort. This was my second (or maybe third?) time dining here, and once again, they delivered a truly memorable culinary experience. I kicked off the night with their fried oysters, which were crispy, tender, and taken up a notch with some extra hot sauce...a chef's kiss. For entrées, we had a table split between two standouts: The Red Snapper with Rock Shrimp, served with mashed potatoes and sweet cole slaw, hands down my favorite dish on their menu. The fish was perfectly cooked, the shrimp added a pop of flavor, and the sides rounded it out beautifully. The Shrimp Creole with Basmati Rice was rich and comforting, though I'll admit the sauce leaned a little sweeter than expected. At first taste, I wondered if ketchup snuck its way into the kitchen (gasp!), but more likely, it was just extra sweet tomatoes doing their thing. Still tasty, but just a note for next time. No cocktails for me on this visit...I've hit pause on drinking, but with food this good, who needs alcohol clouding the flavor anyway? From the ambiance to the impeccable service and consistent food quality, Palm Beach Grill remains a must-visit dining destination. We had a drink at the bar and ended up getting seated 27 minutes before our reso :) we had drinks at the bar we didn't love and the bartenders kindly changed our drinks with no issue. Had dinner here at the bar last night. What happened? It used to be so good. We sat at the bar for dinner. Not super crowded The bartenders could care less about helping us. Never received bottle of water ordered and our drinks were horrible. They ran out of the correct glasses to serve our cocktails. Hello PB Grill. We are in season and not your first rodeo. Bartenders never checked with us and asked how are meal was or if we needed anything. When I asked for a glass of water she gave me an "uh huh" as the acknowledgment to my request. The food is consistent every time and always DELICIOUS. Only dish I was not crazy about was their "little bird," which I think I remember it's like a rotisserie chicken (which they have great rotisserie chicken (in salads), except for this "little bird"). Maybe it was a one-off, but I didn't love it. Ribs, burgers, all salads, shrimp and grits, hot dog, oysters, etc., all great. And their sundae for dessert, if you have room. Great cocktails, too. Service has been hit or miss last several times with respect to server disappearing for period of time, not checking in to see if we need more drinks, but could be they are new and not trained well enough. I wondered how the Palm Beach Grill had fared in the seven years since we ate there (long before we moved to Florida). I was not disappointed. First, the service was excellent- everyone, from the hostess and our server, Sacha, to the food runners, everyone was helpful, friendly and efficient. We ordered a wide range of dishes. Everything was terrific - - the iced shrimp and deviled egg appetizers were excellent. 6 large shrimp accompanied by a nice, sharp cocktail sauce as well as a rich mustard dipping sauce. Our mains were excellent as well. The cedar planked roasted salmon was perfectly cooked and the sugar and spice rub had great depth and the salmon was perfectly cooked, as was the salmon salad. A great surprise was the "silver-service Kosher hot dog was excellent (as were the crisp shoe string fries and cole slaw). My filet mignon was nice. Although flavorful and cooked to my instructions, I suspect that they do not broil at a high enough temperature, no charred crust. The braised red cabbage that I substituted as a side was extraordinary; rich and flavorful. The dining room is still attractive; warm woods and comfortable lighting. The food here was sooo good. This was definitely the best meal we had on our trip to Palm Beach. Our group ordered the cheeseburger, french dip, and red snapper. Everything was great, but the red snapper was absolutely delicious, and ended up being everyone's favorite dish out of what we ordered. The fish was grilled perfectly and the slightly spicy and creamy sauce complemented it perfectly. The shrimp on top added to an already perfect dish. Another standout item was the creamy polenta. You can substitute the entree sides for any side you like. I opted for the polenta and I'm still dreaming of it. To finish the meal, we shared the ice cream sundae which was enough for four people. Tonight was an unequivocal win in this regard. It was a Friday and we foolishly didn't have a reservation so we had to sit at the bar. This turned out to be a win. Bartender was great and informative. We also met a great couple that were regulars that ended up actually buying us a plate of the fried oysters because we "had to try them" and they were absolutely right. I love the food here! It's always consistent for the most part. It can get kind of loud and very busy specially during season. But it's always worth it! Reservations are scarce but they are usually a must or else you might get turned away or you may have to wait for a while. My favorite things are the oysters and their salads are amazing. Also, their shrimp Cajun style is to die for. I also used to love their Sunday but now it doesn't have candy pecans so it's not as delicious but it's still worth it. One of my staples and favorite go to restaurants for a scrumptious meal. read more

I have been having the delight of dining at Palm Beach grill for many many years. It's excellent that's why I keep coming back. Last night's experience however was extremely disappointing! I ordered the sea bass, which was generic at best, and it was paired with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Now if I wanted mashed potatoes and coleslaw I would go Popeyes. Instead I go to the island expecting a decent piece of fish paired with sides according to the restaurants repertoire. $40 for a halfway decent piece of fish served with as far as I'm concerned instant potatoes and slaw from a can I was not impressed. In fact I've never even wrote a Yelp review. I was outraged by my dining experience any audacity of the display of food for that price is a crime. read more

This is absolutely one of our favorite Palm Beach restaurants! We have dined her over 7 times, and each time is literally perfection. For starters, their deviled eggs are delicious. There is an interesting tang from the Ding's relish and it's great. We also LOVE their Silver platter Hot Dog. I know this sounds odd, but it's unique to this "Houston's" location, and definitely worth a try! It comes with all of the accouterments and fries. Speaking of fries... OMG the skinny fries are supper addicting. Additionally, their filet is decadent and wonderful. It's cooked perfectly every time, and comes with two sides. We also love their salads, french dip, and the bone in prime rib (which hasn't been available since Covid). We truly love everything they make! On our most recent visit, we met our BFF up here for dinner. He loved it as well, and couldn't believe how delicious and perfectly crafted the Old Fashioneds were. We all had two, and they are wonderful here! The perfect Old Fashioned is not an easy feat, but they make it seem easy. Save room for dessert, as their Banana Cream Pie is WOW-worthy!! We had this reservation made for weeks and were really looking forward to it, as we are HUGE lovers of your sister restaurant HILLSTONE in winter park. We arrived right at 6:00 for our reservation, we did not get sat until 6:18. So, we waited 18 minutes with a reservation. We ordered as soon as our waitress came over, she was very polite and sweet. We got the rosemary bread as our app and it was delicious just as it is at Houston's. For our meals we both got prime rib. It arrived quickly but then we had to wait an odd amount of time for the horseradish sauce we asked for. ( by the time she brought it, my husband was almost half way done already). We order prime rib anytime a steak house offers it, and unfortunately this was one of the worst prime ribs we've ever had. There was barely any flavor, we were both very disappointed. I had to ask for my water to be refilled and had to remind the waitress about my husbands drink order that still had not arrived. No one brought over the special fry salt that they normally bring. Once we finished we sat there for almost 15 minutes before someone came to clear the plates or ask if we wanted dessert. Honestly, the service was awful - she was sweet and smiley but when comparing the service to hillstone/ they blow palm beach grille OUT OF THE WATER. The ambiance is dark and crowded. When waiting for your table you are asked to stand by the bar with a bunch of other people who are all being smushed and bumped into.
