Came here for dinner last weekend. The Flagler steakhouse really impressed me from start to finish! First off, the valet parking was complimentary which I thought was a nice touch. They accepted tips via Zelle. The area downstairs was so beautifully decorated for Christmas with a large tree upon entry. Once we got to the entry point for the steakhouse after getting out of the elevator, there were wreaths, nutcrackers, lights and gorgeous holiday decor! It was extremely festive, warm and inviting. I sat indoors and ordered a few items for dinner. I ordered the Paloma beverage, the wedge salad, the burrata, the mushroom cream steak and macaroni and cheese as a side. Warm bread with butter was brought to the table prior to us placing our order. All items came in a timely fashion. Madison was our server and was EXCELLENT! She was informative, kind and always had a smile on. The steak was cooked medium and tasted incredible. It melted in my mouth! The wedge salad was so fresh. The Mac and cheese was also phenomenal. The burrata was also fantastic. I was shocked at the bill too! I live in Miami so I'm used to overpriced restaurants. It was extremely affordable for the amount of food that was ordered. 10/10! The Flagler Steakhouse is a part of the Breaker's Hotel Restaurants. It is not situated within the Hotel but rather across the street in its own building, complete with valet parking. The restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance. The staff, who are well-dressed, provide exceptional service and are extremely attentive and helpful. They offer a complimentary bread service to begin. To begin, I ordered the French Onion Soup, followed by the Filet Mignon as my main course, accompanied by Brussels sprouts as a side. We concluded our meal with Key Lime Pie for dessert. Excellent service and food! Was worried about a too causal atmosphere being a golf dinning experience but was very pleased that in the evening it transforms to a very elegant dinning experience. From the time we walked in to leaving the experience was wonderful. The kitchen was sure to meet my food allergy requirements and explained how they would prepare the food. I went here with a tour group. This is a fancy restaurant that is nicely decorated and furnished. Since I was with a group, we were given a limited choice rather than being able to order off the menu. I had filet mignon. It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The filet was cooked as ordered. Originally had plans to visit HMF for dinner/drinks but ended up at Flagler Steakhouse and I'm glad I did. The lobby and dining room were beautifully decorated for the holidays. My waitress Iris was amazing: she was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure to check on me often. I ordered the palm cosmo, grilled salmon, vegetable risotto and macaroni & cheese. My drink was yummy & strong. The entree portions were large and the food was flavorful & well prepared. Absolutely one of the most iconic beautiful restaurants in the West Palm Beach area. The location is unmatchable. Located on the golf course of breakers on Palm Beach. This exclusive location has its own stand alone beauty from its parent the breakers. You cannot go wrong with this location for any special dinner you have planned. The service starts disappointing from the moment you check in. The young women at the front desk are elegantly, dressed in the same color scheme, however, they are extremely standoffish and unpleasant. This is a classic problem in southern Florida. Usually, this is standard service in Miami, but the tendency is not for this kind of service in the West Palm Beach area, specially on Palm Beach Island. We were seated, and our waitress was very pleasant in explaining the menu and offering to get us drinks. We ordered a series of appetizers and several steaks with sides to split amongst four people. We had already investigated the wine list and knew the two wines that we were going to order. Neither of them cheap options, but at least they were on the menu. An extraordinary Pinot Noir and an American Granache blend. As the appetizers came out, we doubled up on one of them and asked for another order. They said that they would bring it right away. This in fact did not happen as the appetizer arrived at the same time as the main course meats. The problem here was that as we went through the appetizer, our meat on the table already pre-cut was getting cold. In addition to this, the steak sauces that were ordered and the vegetables that were also ordered to accompany the meats, did not come at the same time. As a matter of fact, the side vegetable never came. We were in a little bit of a hurry at the end of the meal because we had a train to catch. They were very efficient and offering us a assortment of desserts to make up for the lack of bringing the vegetables. The issue here is, if you are on a protein, vegetable diet, compensating you with a plate full of sweets is not appropriate. If you're like me, I came to this restaurant to eat meat, not to be filled up at the end of the meal with ice cream and cake cakes. I understand that this is a courtesy to show concern on the part of the restaurant management , however, it's disappointing. All of this being said, we must say that the quality of the meat was extraordinary. It's a shame it got cold, and the desired side dishes did not work out. In summary, I would still recommend this restaurant. There are small details that you have to be aware of so you can be on top of the service staff to make sure it doesn't happen to you. Be clear to them at the beginning that you don't want your meal to come out in stages. Bring us our appetizers all at the same time. If you cannot bring them out at the same time, do not bring them with the main courses. Make sure you are clear with them about what you want as your main courses. Take the plunge, try it. Ok, we were very excited to try to Flager for a special birthday celebration! The food was good, but not worth the price. I want to make it clear that I'm not complaining about the price, I'm complaining about the quality and taste of the food FOR the price. The blue crab dumplings were good, but wasn't like an omg wow! The buratta was fine, not the best I've had, tasted like something you would pay 15 dollars for at your local fav restaurant. The presentation of the dry aged bone in New York strip was extremely disappointing, it was weak, nothing to pay $125 for. A white plate with a small piece of meat since it was shared and two potatoes, not worth it. The quality of the steak was good, but you could pay a bit less to go somewhere else and have the exact same steak. Honestly the standout was the Chilean sea bass, it was melt in your mouth amazing, truly delicious! We went for a birthday celebration. We had a lovely experience sitting out on the deck. It was April in South Florida, so the heat could have made it uncomfortable but they had the fans going and in the shade, so the temperature was comfortable. The ambience is great also facing the golf course. Inside it looked a little dark and crowded, but our experience was great on the deck. The food was amazing. My steak at first was overcooked and then undercooked, but the staff were so accommodating that I didn't feel awkward pointing that out to them and they comped my meal without even telling me they were going to do so or me having to ask. read more

Classic, old school steakhouse and one of the best restaurants in the Palm Beach area. With that being said, prices here are NOT justified (wayyyyy overpriced). I ordered the petite filet mignon (6 oz for $75!!!) with mashed potatoes, blue crab dumplings, grilled artichoke hearts, corn off the cob, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. The filet was seasoned and cooked to perfection, juicy, and tender. The inside was cooked evenly throughout and the outside had a beautiful char on it; the best cooked steak I've had in a long time. The blue crab dumplings, mashed potatoes, corn, and grilled artichoke hearts were all flavored nicely, and could easily all stand alone as dishes. The chocolate chip cookies were just ok- too dense and too flat, just underwhelming. The inside of the restaurant definitely missed the mark. VERY dark and dreary, old decor, ugly red and white awnings (reminiscent of Pizza Hut), and leaves something to be longed for. Service was friendly and really had no complaints. French onion soup was very sweet, like Vidalia onion sort of base. Enjoyed it and would recommend despite sweetness. Had a few half salads. Kale got better remarks than the Caesar. Had a filet and NY strip, both with loaded baked potatoes. Found the strip to be very chewy. Was over seasoned with something. Was also very small. Guessing like 10oz or less. Potato was sort of the star of the show and came with a pile of toppings. Ate light and skipped dessert so we could enjoy that elsewhere. Absolutely phenomenal experience. The bartender (Fabiana) was exceptional. She was very personable and extremely helpful with regard to the menu. From the delicious bread, to the perfectly cooked ultra tender and magnificently flavorful steak, all the way to the heavenly cheesecake topped off with a house margarita to drink. Everything was unreal. The atmosphere was great, with little to no loud noise or distractions. Had dinner here recently and it was awesome. We failed to make reservations and were initially seated at the bar. Thankfully, by the time our drinks arrived a table became available on the patio. We were happy to be seated out there as the golf course views coupled with the sunset added to the ambiance. Our server came over quickly and introduced herself and offered some great suggestions from the menu. We ended up ordering lobster/crab bisque, crab dumplings for appetizers and the filet mignon and sea bass with the lobster tail add on and a side order of Mac n cheese for our main course. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. My favorites were the dumplings, the filet done med-rare, the succulent lobster tail, and the Mac n cheese. After that amazing dinner, we shared an apple pie with cappuccinos. We were impressed with the home made apple pie and ended up taking home some leftovers as it's big enough to serve 3-4 people. Whenever i am in Florida, this seems to be one of our go to places, where my mother takes my family. it is a great sense of occasion. We ate in the private dining room (we were a party of about 14) which was excellent for what we needed. The waiting staff seemed to be quite experienced in working with groups like this. They efficiently took our orders for food and drink. I was mindblown at how they provided everything for us in a timely fashion. They also did it with flair and personality! I had the grilled eggplant to start (excellent), the salmon steak (perhaps the best ever and ive had a lot), and key lime pie for dessert (always a go-to for me). Absolutely amazing staff from the time you pull up to the valet. Our reservation was for inside but since the weather was nice outside the hostess found us a perfect spot on the patio. Christin and his work wife Carla are an incredible team. I had to pace myself on the fluffiest bread I've encountered and besides the butter it went well with the blue crab dumpling sauce as Carla suggested. Sublime ! This was our 3rd time at the Flagler and each time the experiance was sublime. The stupendous atmosphere on the upstairs verands and setting sun was only eclipsed by the food, wine and service. We srarted with jumbo stone crab claw, lobster corn chowder and Barnstable oysters. Then we shared the most delightful blue cheese wedge which was unlike any wedge salad I have ever had. So light, refreshing yet redolent with unctuous Point Rayes Blu. Our mains were of course, prime steaks, I as usual, had the bone in Prime New York Steak with Marsala Mushroom Crust. A must have. Valet parking is available. The service is top notch and what you would come to expect for Palm Beach. The Breakers own this restaurant so a lot of its guests come over to this restaurant. You also see a lot of locals which is nice. They will be the well dressed customers, whereas the hotel guests, clearly have little to no experience with fine dinning will be dressed in flip flops and shorts. It's one thing if you're a 17 year old kid, but a 55 to 60 year old man should know better. Or perhaps they don't. Well it's all you would want in a great meal and great service. We were a group of 16 and couldn't believe the quality of the food and the service. The staff communicate very well and are on top of everything. Even with the hard core vegetarian and vegan people with us. Loads of different varieties and plenty of sides. Our server did an excellent job of taking care of us, making recommendations, and engaging in small conversations. She made us feel like the only table in the whole restaurant. I took my husband for his birthday and they sat us outside The weather was perfect, and the sunset glowed beautifully in the sky that night. Service started out nicely, we were greeted by two staff. We ordered a Cesar salad to share and the porterhouse for two, we asked for medium-rare to medium and the waiter suggested medium, recommended the Brussels sprouts and we ordered a baked potato and mashed for the accompanying side. The warm bread was fresh, crusty and pillowy soft on the inside...delicious! The salad fresh and perfectly dressed. They served the steak which was very rare in the center and two plates with each of our potatoes. They didn't bring any S&P, butter, sour cream or chives for the baked potato and my mashed was barely warm. But no one came back to check on us. I ordered the wild mushroom cream sauce for our steak...the sauce was reddish, a very sweet sauce which was not at all what I expected. We finally caught the attention of another server, askinv he if could send our server. We asked them to fire the steak a bit more, and some condiments for his potato, as well as a hotter potato for me. I mentioned the mushroom sauce was too sweet and not to my liking, and asked for a savory sauce instead. She brought back a steak sauce and a bernaise sauce, again they never checked back. I didn't like either of the sauces so I ate the steak plain with my potato. Brussels sprouts were overhyped as the waiter said they were highly recommended, a bit oily and on the al dente side which gives a hint of bitterness imo. They did send a complimentary birthday cake...we ordered the chocolate layer cake. It was very moist and rich ribboned with thick layers of fudge. We could only eat a tiny sliver and took the rest home. All in all, the experience was a little disappointing....we've had much better service and a nicer dining experience at other steakhouses read more

If you're perusing the reviews and photos on Yelp be aware that former prices posted have increased as of July 2022. For starters, we decided to give the Grilled Artichoke Hearts a try. They were just okay and not a reorder for us. Next up, we shared their highly recommended Caesar Salad,$27. They make their own dressing for this classic salad, and it was delicious! Since we were dining at a steakhouse we ordered steak. There are other options if beef isn't your choice. Their petite filet au poivre was fantastic, perfectly grilled medium and flavorful. Entrees do come with a choice of potato - baked, mashed or sweet potato, and the mashed potatoes were a perfect accompaniment. The side order of Brussel Sprouts was equally yummy! We went there to celebrate the wife's birthday over lunch and we both had the NY strip steak. Agreed that it was one of the best steaks we have ever had. Simply amazing. View from seating outside was very nice and scenic. Service was also excellent. Not the cheapest lunch by far (by very far) but for a once a year event and especially a special event it was just fine. Afterward we went over to the Breakers Hotel for a stroll around the scenic and historical grounds. We will be back to the Flagler Steakhouse, for sure. read more
