Cuban sandwich and fries.
Patty W.

It has been many years since the first time I went and the restaurant has been completely renovated. It's beautiful and resides with a water view on the outdoor patio. We were seated right away during lunch without a reservation and it was busy. The menu looked very good and I went for the Cuban sandwich and fries. It was delicious and plentiful! If I wasn't so full, I would had an appetizer to share. Our waiter was friendly and he made sure we were happy with everything. There were other staff members that were helping one another and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe happy hour next time? We shall see.

Booked an inside table at 5:15pm on a Wednesday to celebrate a birthday. The renovation is spectacular; roomy open air dining room with water views of the ICW. Our server was new to the area and job. She was on point and very helpful to make our selections. We started with apps consisting of crab, spinach and artichoke dip. Entrees were maple glazed Antarctic salmon and lobster & shrimp stir fry. All servings were good portion and very flavorful. The stir fry had a bit too much soy sauce for my tasting. Dessert was finished with Key Lime Pie. Very good experience. Recommend getting there during "social hour menu" to enjoy a more reasonable cost. HIGHLY recommend

I came here for a lunch meeting with a vendor and we sat outside which was nice since the weather was great that day! We enjoyed the sun while sipping on our drinks and we got the smoked fish dip which was simply delicious! I got the fresh catch of the day blackened and ate every single bite. The staff was friendly and our waitress made sure to refill my drinks. It was alo easy to find parking and we were sat down immediately. I will say the renovations made this place beautiful but the prices are a bit high and so it makes this place a more higher end restaurant so beware.

I'm a huge fan of the renovated Waterway Cafe. The place is beautiful and the food is a million times better. It's more upscale so the increased cost reflects this. Andy at the bar took care of us tonight and he did great job. They offer HH from 3-6 (I think only M-F) and the menu features a few dinner size options. We ordered the maple Atlantic salmon which is paired with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Although, they'll allow you to swap sides so I ordered green beans in lieu of the mashed. This was my second time ordering this dish and the quality was consistent. Finally, the restaurant and ladies restroom were both clean. Parking is still a challenge, but luckily they offer valet. Overall, I'm a fan and find it to be an improvement.

Came here with my team and sat outside by the bridge, which gave us a front-row view when it went up. That bridge is so damn infuriating when you're trying to get somewhere . Drives me insane but it was cool to see up close. The view itself is nice outside. This was my first visit to Waterway Cafe since it reopened, and overall it lived up to a little of the hype: solid food, scenic waterfront seating, and a relaxed, casual atmosphere. I had an Arnold Palmer, and we started the table off with the Fuji apple brie pizza. Pleasantly surprised by how good that was--definitely a strong starter and one I'd recommend. For my entrée, I ordered the jumbo lump crab salad. It was delicious, the crab was plentiful, and clearly the star of the dish. My only critique is that the tomatoes were cut way too large, which threw off the balance a bit. I finished with the vanilla bean crème brûlée. It was fine--nothing bad, just nothing memorable. Came with some fresh berries in the side. Service was okay, pretty standard. Not bad, not standout. Parking was easy for weekday lunch, and the lot is fairly large, though I've driven by before when it's been completely packed, so timing probably matters. Overall, it's a nice spot; food was better than expected, service was decent, and the location does most of the heavy lifting. A solid choice, particularly when you catch it at the right time.

Great service. Great decor and views . Food was nicely presented too. Would gladly come back again when in town.

This afternoon we met another couple for a delightful lunch here. The parking lot was full at 1 pm so we valet the car which is gratis. It seems we weren't the only ones interested in eating here. It was a magnificent day and what better way to enjoy than to eat outside on the porch overlooking the waterway with all the boats and yachts passing by. The ambiance is very special. Cory was our waiter. He was very pleasant and proficient. We all chose entrees which were fresh and flavorful. I had grilled grouper over a voluminous beet and goat cheese salad. Paul had pasta over scallops and shrimp. The tuna wrap came with fries and David enjoyed it. Donna also had a grilled grouper with mashed potatoes and string beans. Honestly we didn't want to leave and we were allowed to stay a while longer to enjoy the views and weather. This is such a great place when in the area.

We went during happy hour and the staff was very kind. I really enjoyed the calamari which was light and crispy! I also had the Apple Brie pizza which was flavorful and bright but the crust was too crunchy on the outside and not crispy enough in the middle (fell apart).

This place has been renovated and is incredibly beautiful while still being casual dining. Sitting outside is your best bet. There are two bars outside as well as fire pits. When you walk in, no one is sitting inside on a nice day. It's a gorgeous place to eat at night. The staff is very friendly but very busy. The reason for one star isn't because of the food, ambience or staff. It's rather that the staff was so busy that three times I had to preen my neck to look for our water and I had to get up and find a children's menu myself at an empty hostess desk. Don't let this deter you though the food is delicious. The fish is fresh. The drinks are made well. The kids menu is fantastic and not as basic as most places. I can't wait to come back here!

Birthday dinner night. This was my first time there since the renovations. I was pleasantly surprised. It's night and day. Looks great. We were seated right away. For starters, we had the fish dip in calamari. The fish dip was good and the calamari was OK. I had the special with steak and lobster chunks on top. My friend had New York strip steak and my friend had mahi. The room was well lit and welcoming. I'd like to go back during the day for lunch on a warmer day to enjoy the full experience.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and they were very busy. Our water view was pretty nice too. This place is a must visit....we are definitely going back.

I haven't been here til now since they closed and reopened. Its a great spot. A couple outside bars. If you have a boat you can ride right up to the outside dock. Its a nice water view. You can see the new Ritz Carlton being built across the waterway. There's self parking and valet. I had the grouper entre and it was very good. The bartender was nice and attentive.

Empty plate because the Conch Fritters were too good to stop and take a picture before we devoured them.

My family moved to Singer Island 24 years ago and Waterway was one of our favorites restaurant for years. My mom and I were shocked they still offered peel & eat shrimp and they were fantastic (happy hour menu?) My mom had a mocktail (a wonderful selection). I had a lychee martini/Lychee Delight. I love they have low martini glasses. Chef's kiss!! The conch fritters were so yummy, we only got a picture of the empty plate. We also had the Margherita pizza which was crispy and fresh. Our server(s) were on point. We had a ton of appetizers and they seamlessly brought us new plates for each appetizer and cleared. I had not seen the renovations that allow for a greater view of the intercostal & boats. Also, it was very nice the manager actually seemed to check on all the tables. The valet is quick and essential after 630/7pm in season. It was beautiful to see the tiki bar still stands.

Our visit coincided with a fundraiser event so of course the restaurant was very busy, but that did not affect service whatsoever. She had the braised short ribs with pasta and meatballs, and I had a filet mignon portobello risotto that was delicious. Several semi booths surround the restaurant with very plush seating and chairs facing the other way. Several full tables in the center of the restaurant and a large bar in the back. My only complaint about the seating is that it makes you quite a bit lower than the table. I'm 6 foot 3 and my head was just barely above the table. The menu was small, but that's OK. I like a small menu. The hot rolls they begin with were fresh and warm. They could've used a little butter, but other than that they were quite tasty. The clam appetizer that we got was amazing. piled high with clams in the shell and topped with a large amount of chopped clams served in a white wine, buttery, garlicky sauce. My lobster raviolis were tender, full and covered in a delicious sauce. My brother's rigatoni Bolognese was perfectly al dente and covered with plenty of wonderful meat sauce. For dessert, I had a luxurious piece of chocolate upon chocolate cake while my brother enjoyed a raspberry cheesecake. Our server was quite attentive and very friendly. I am happy to say that during the course of our dinner more people did come into the restaurant and by the time we were finishing and were ready to leave there were maybe five or six groups of people eating. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would be happy to go there again.

Per myself, I would rate as 4 1/2 stars! The food has always been very good, service last night was very good as well and with the location being near the marina we had a pleasant evening! My wife & I started at the bar area as we waited for our family to join us for dinner! The Peroni was served in a chilled glass and my wife had an Ole' Fashion with Bulleit Rye. Both beverages were a nice way to start the evening. The bartender was very nice & attentive. For our meal we started with the grilled calamari which is also served with grilled broccoli. Excellent appetizer! The main course, I had the linguini in clam sauce (very good) & my wife had the Sambuca which she said was excellent! With the linguini I had a couple of shell fragments but with any shellfish need to be on notice. We had great weather and with the awnings for protection from any inclement weather as well as a wonderful breeze and the marina in view, it was a great evening! Again, not sure why this is rated 3.1 stars as that rating is not reflective of this establishment. All tables were full and what I viewed people were having a fun evening! The confusion at the greeters desk was about the worst i have ever experienced. Finally when they said we had a seat as requested outside, we were taken outside to find there was no seat! Excuse was "we thought they were leaving table" Then left us alone to start all over. Given your horrendous parking fight and this experience, my recommendation is go to Cod and Capers or the Italian market for your equal or better fish and meat options is to pass this hassle up. By the way got sick after eating here this and last time. Clams first, then today by from the grilled calamari with a gross amount of salt poured over the burnt broccoli.
