It was early Sunday evening when we decided to try Bella Cucina. When we got there the restaurant was empty. It's fairly large. Several semi booths surround the restaurant with very plush seating and chairs facing the other way. Several full tables in the center of the restaurant and a large bar in the back. My only complaint about the seating is that it makes you quite a bit lower than the table. I'm 6 foot 3 and my head was just barely above the table. The menu was small, but that's OK. I like a small menu. The hot rolls they begin with were fresh and warm. They could've used a little butter, but other than that they were quite tasty. The clam appetizer that we got was amazing. piled high with clams in the shell and topped with a large amount of chopped clams served in a white wine, buttery, garlicky sauce. My lobster raviolis were tender, full and covered in a delicious sauce. My brother's rigatoni Bolognese was perfectly al dente and covered with plenty of wonderful meat sauce. For dessert, I had a luxurious piece of chocolate upon chocolate cake while my brother enjoyed a raspberry cheesecake. Our server was quite attentive and very friendly. I am happy to say that during the course of our dinner more people did come into the restaurant and by the time we were finishing and were ready to leave there were maybe five or six groups of people eating. For those who love Northern Italian menus and find themselves in Royal Palm Beach might enjoy this restaurant. I ordered their rigatoni Bolognese and thought it was superb. I'm Italian so I like all the different cuisines my father, grandfather enjoyed. I prefer Southern Italian cooking. read more

Solid 5 stars! What a surprise to walk into this beautifully decorated space. It's right next to Papa John's in the plaza. The service and the food were excellent. It has a very intimate vibe but the seats are a bit close as the space is small. The bar area is so beautiful, the interior was well done. It felt strange to park in this plaza and then walk into this space! The food was excellent. The tools were the best I have had anywhere. I had the mushroom risotto, it came with soup or salad I had the soup. The risotto was a generous portion and could be shared. My bf had the linguine Frutti di Mare. Both dishes were excellent. Came by for an early Saturday dinner. Plenty of parking and is next door to Papa John's. Inside takes you away from this strip mall feel to a nice restaurant. Excellent meals. The restaurant was half full by 7:30. This is a gem in the rough. The employees were all very professional and friendly. I'm interested in returning and trying more choices on the menu. read more

I will NOT recommend Bella Cucina / Wellington /FL. Why ..we were told to pay for bread if we ask extra!!! Food is good, service is good. Prices are expensive and expected as per menu. I've never seen a restaurant expensive as its is asking for payment on a bread if one asks for more. That specific is not being mentioned in the menu. l'll never go back neither will I ever recommend. read more

Fresh and delicious. Every dish was spot on. Fried calamari was delicious and enough to share with a group of 4. House salad was fresh with a mixed lettuce, having arugula part of the mix, which I love. Chicken Marsala was served with mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe. We love to try new restaurants, especially when they are close to where we live. Across from Publix in Royal Palm Beach is Bella Cucina which has been in business for about a month. There was an Italian restaurant in this location previously and it was OK but we did not go there very often. The restaurant has had a makeover and has a cleaner more modern but perhaps a less traditional Italian feel. Perhaps a little quirky. The layout is like an upscale pizzeria at first glance... What surprised us was how just plain good the food was. We liked everything we ordered. Mussels, meatball appetizer, salad, chicken parm, and penne aka vodka. Deserts were also very good. The waitstaff is very attentive and wants to make sure you are happy. The restaurant was not very busy and I believe that is due to it being new and the fact that when you drive by it, you do not notice it at all. I hope they do well, the food was very good, and it's nice having some good Italian fare so close to the garrison. Although you can see they are still working to hit their stride, we will give them a 5 star rating hoping they will do well and get even better. We will try again and update accordingly. read more

Hidden gem! Inside is beautifully decorated. Food was excellent but octopus could have been grilled a bit longer. The pasta faggioli was delish! Servers did take a very long time to come to you and we waited almost 20 minutes for the check (but restaurant was also busy). We will still be returning bc overall excellent experience. read more

Let me begin with how excellent the food and portion sizes were. The burrata appetizer was prepared beautifully, it just needed a bit more balsamic glaze. The seafood bowl with linguini was loaded with a variety of seafood. The veal chop with mushroom sauce was a very nice size. I did substitute pasta for mashed potatoes and because I did that they did not put the broccoli rabe on the plate(ridiculous). The decor of the restaurant is very nice, the only thing wrong is that the couches are way too low for even a tall person. The service was rushed at the beginning of our meal, but after mentioning that to a very pleasant waitress, the pace was corrected. All in all, the food is definitely worth a trip to the restaurant. read more

The reviews are really misleading here.. The restaurant was small and quaint, but it was super hot inside. We ordered the meatballs (not memorable), the octopus (was good), the burrata (not memorable), and carpaccio (was good but tasted like a ranch dressing on top which was weird) all for apps. Moving on to dinner my husband got the ribeye medium rare and it came out totally purple, uncooked, and not edible. The waiter didn't once come over to check on the food, otherwise we would have sent it back. We asked for more bread and a cup of ice and neither were brought. I got the vodka pasta with chicken and it was good, but by no means anything special. My husband had called ahead and let them know it was anniversary and that wasn't acknowledged. Not looking for a huge celebration, but for a restaurant with 3 full tables including ourselves along with the inedible dinner for my other half it was a really disappointing night. read more

We are so pleased we read the reviews and found Bella Cucina. This restaurant is spectacular. Truly a hidden gem. A Palm Beach experience in Royal Palm Beach. Inside it is comfortable and well thought out considering the smallish space. It is Lent and we found a full array of delicious options. Service is tops, well trained and attentive without being overbearing. We had the mussels with white wine as appetizer: cooked perfectly and generous serving. Salad, Seafood soup with Risotto and Eggplant Parmigiana for entrees. The Mushroom Risotto was the best I have had. Ever. We shared a tiramisu- Glad we indulged. Velvety and not sweet! Beautiful fairly new Italian restaurant I have already made it a weekly stop. The Pasta Fagolli is the best I've ever had - EVER !!! I've had several wonderful chicken dishes too but I am a soup lover so often I will stop by & pick up the large Pasta Fagolli bowl of soup with an amazing piece of their bread for lunch. Yummy!!! We were, however, disappointed with the garlic rolls that were basically kings Hawaiian rolls with garlic, butter and parsley on them. Not traditional at all. The red sangria was way too sweet for our liking (personal preference). But the main course was perfection. I had the Milanese and my husband had a gnocchi bolognese special and both were so good!! Our group of 4 people went there last night and were immediately greeted by Gladys the owner to welcome us and seat us. While walking to our table the other diners commented that the food was great, so that set the tone for a terrific experience. We expected a noisy local Italian restaurant but were surprised to find that the upscale look of the dining room and the low background music playing was the preface to an excellent dinner. We started with a sautéed clams in a garlic sauce and it was fantastic. The included soup was homemade and delicious, my choice was the pasta faggioli, all the entrees were eye catching and my choice was a veal piccata style with pasta and the veal was tender and tasty. You didnt get just one server, the girls teamed up to make sure we didnt have to wait long for anything. Even the garlic style rolls that came quickly out before our appetizers looked homemade and were perfect. The desert choices were many but with a filling meal we chose one terrami sue and four forks and it ended the meal on a high note. Needless to say we will be coming back read more

Food was good not great. portions were good. it was hot -liked that. flavor of my shrimp was excellent. Soup ?? Need to just order salad if you go. chicken Parmagina was thinly cut small portions - good flavor way I like it!! But hold on Prices are way high dishes were $28.00 each!, What? Am I in Miami or palm Beach??. Did I miss something!! I see this place a little on the higher end with such prices I hope they survive. Oh go figure it is next door to Pizza domino Laundry mat gas station. Not sure if I will go back prices are over the top.
