6/10/26- 5 Stars for Food, Service and I love the outside patio! My pizza came out cooked perfectly! My order is always: Thin crust Lite on the tomato sauce Extra toppings: Meatballs and sausage! I don't know if you can see from my pictures but they are very generous with the toppings! So many other restaurants just sprinkle some toppings but here you definitely get your money's worth! Best pizza I've had in a long time! I love the patio! It's completely sheltered from the sun, rain etc! Even when it's very hot outside- their patio gets a cross breeze and they have big ceiling fans and it's very comfortable! Very calming! My only suggestion is to be able to split the music volume between inside dining and outside patio! The music is wonderful but with the road noise you can barely hear it. It would enhance your experience if you could raise the volume outside without raising it inside. It can't be that hard all the other restaurants do it. read more

My first time visiting Mario The Baker in West Palm Beach. They have a wonderful restaurant with a ton of tables, booths, and chairs. Today I was served by a wonderful waitress named Lilly. She treated us like royalty. The pizza was fantastic and came out super quick! This pizza specifically is a high-rise (thick) crust cheese pizza with extra cheese, pineapple, and garlic in between the cheese layers. It was a very odd order but absolutely delicious. The sauce and the cheese they use is absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed my first time visiting Mario The Baker and I hope to go back again soon. (I don't live anywhere near.) read more

Yesterday, my coworker went to Mario the Baker for lunch and brought back a garlic roll for me, and it was so good that I came back after work to order dinner, and I definitely made the right choice. I even met the owner, who said him and his wife have been in business for over 25 years. I told him I was looking for my new go to spot and he said "look no further" and was not lying! I ordered the baked cheese ravioli and a medium pizza with half pepperoni and the ravs came with 3 garlic rolls. I am super picky when it comes to sauce but I loved it! It was not chunky which I love and had a very nice flavor and the perfect amount of melted cheese, and the raviolis were tasty too. The pizza was also a hit, and you can tell that they use top notch pepperoni. The crust was cooked perfectly and the pizza had a solid sauce to cheese ratio. read more

Wow! Came in my three teenage sons from 4 hours away for a golfing tournament. They were hungry for some great food. This place did not disappoint. After reading the amazing reviews on Google and Yelp, we had to stop by, and the pizza did not disappoint. The garlic rolls were out of this world. They were more like soft, delicious rolls with the perfect seasoning, wrapped in foil to keep them warm. The pizza was also very fairly priced, and the toppings were reasonably priced as well. Compared to other places it was fresh and priced less. They even make their own sausage in-house, which is something you don't see often anymore. This is truly a family-owned restaurant that has been passed down through generations. Even if you're just traveling through the area, make sure to stop in. The owners were incredibly friendly, and the woman answering the phone was warm, helpful, and made ordering easy. When we arrived, the owner was right beside her checking customers in and out, while her husband was in the back cooking, but came out to say since it was our first time. Class act! The restaurant was very clean and would be a great place for events, date night, or bringing the whole family. It reminded us of a classic, family-owned New Jersey pizza place but with a big dinning area. Highly recommend! Update: went again the next day. Oh Mario, Mario... what would we do without you? I've dined at this local favorite more times than I can count, and I honestly think I've tried just about everything on the menu. Not once have I been disappointed. The pizza is always delicious, the lasagna is my personal favorite, and the Chicken Francese is absolutely amazing. And whatever you do, don't skip the garlic rolls -- they are mandatory in my book. I was first introduced to Mario The Baker what feels like a million years ago when I was in college and there was one in North Miami Beach. Somehow the food still lives up to every comforting, delicious memory I have from those days. As soon as you walk in all you do smell is garlic. It is absolutely intoxicating. Everybody is so nice. They say hello and they welcome you.. we sat down. There were four of us and the waitress came over immediately and she was so full of bubbly and energy. I feel terrible and I forget her name. She's from New Jersey and she was so so sweet. We ordered an antipasto, I ordered the pasta v" soup. It was absolutely delicious. We went in to order our main meals and she was so helpful. My friend and I split an eggplant Parmesan sub. It was perfect. My husband got the veal Parmesan. Her husband got the eggplant Palm. Everything was perfect and absolutely flavorful, and the garlic was flowing. For years I've passed the place, curious about it. But tonight my hubs suggested it and I said "Sure, let's give it a try". Keeping in mind Italian food is one of the most profitable as it's so cheap to buy materials. Also keep in mind that as a chef myself I expect a little more than fast food at a sit down restaurant. Nonetheless there is no reason for even low budget cuisine to not be good. It's all in the technique. On first impression, the dining room could be more cozy. Very cold big area. Like an enclosed theme park patio with no personality and too wide open. No noise barriers and very bright lights. Just a bunch of tables and chairs in a big bright room. We let the server know it was our first time and asked what she suggested. She was very friendly and polite, and said she doesn't really eat the food there so she'd probably go with the pizza or a sandwich to be safe as she had no clue what to offer. That should have been the first clue. We had pizza last weekend and a sandwich for lunch so we opted for the baked ravioli and the eggplant parmesan. I asked if the pasta side dish included with the eggplant also had sauce & cheese. She said "yes". But... Nope, it didn't have cheese or seasoning. The Garlic rolls are just oil and garlic, I had to add (the cheap faux parm and salt) and they were a little dry and rubbery. I also asked if the eggplant was breaded and crispy fried first. She said "Yes" again. Well, there was a thin almost nothing mushy coating that had not been pre-fried and just melded in with the sauce. so the whole dish was just mush with hard burnt edges that were inedible. As far as flavor there seemed to be the least of efforts in any attention to actual seasoning whatsoever. Un flavored Eggplant, basic tomato sauce straight from a can and mozzarella. Very, Very, VERRRRY bland like almost a joke. We were so hoping this would be our next favorite italian place. My husband was not pleased with his baked ravioli, his complaints were the same, He even said "are we being puncked? this is awful... Just pasta, cheese and bare sauce like they are telling us how invisible and unimportant we are? Just slinging out something to put in front of us". Italian food is hard to mess up and pretty easy to get right with a small amount of attention. But it made us feel like hearded cattle and though the portions are good... There was no flavor, therefore no value for the price. It was $42 without drinks. When the server brought the check and asked how it was I hesitantly grimaced and kindly let her know she was really great but we were completely disappointed and unhappy with our food. She just sighed and said "oh, okay. I'll take that up when your ready" (referring to the check). No, "I'll let the manager know", or "asking if we'd like something different". They were 30 minutes from closing and already had all the chairs up on the tables around us so we realized we needed to just cut our losses and leave. I can't speak for the other things on the menu but our experience leaves us with no desire to go there and try again. For another $10 we could have had Ribeyes at Texas Roadhouse. I wish I had a better review for a place that's been there for so long :-( read more

Was able to snag the outside patio for a large gathering of friends. The wait staff was very accommodating, even offering separate checks if we wanted (wasn't necessary this time). They kept the drinks filled and food wait was very acceptable. Ordered the Chicken Francese with penne and it was great. The lemon sauce was so good and flavorful; ended up using way too many garlic knots to sop it all up. This restaurant reminded me of a real authentic family Italian kitchen. The staff was very nice and welcoming. When you walk in you smell garlic and herbs, yummy. We called to ask about the soup of the day and had a really disappointing experience. The phone connection was already difficult due to background noise, and when the staff member mentioned two soups, we simply asked what ingredients were in them so we could decide. Instead of helping, the tone became rude and dismissive, and it felt like we were being spoken down to for asking a basic question. We weren't trying to be difficult at all,just trying to understand what we were ordering. We decided to end the call because of the interaction and won't be ordering as a result. Customer service really matters, especially when someone is just trying to get simple information. At that point, we'd rather go somewhere like Grandma's Brooklyn Pizza, which has much better food and significantly better customer service anyway. read more

We came here with friends who selected the restaurant based on the fact that it had recently been chosen for having the second-best pizza in Palm Beach County. We weren't so sure about that designation, but we are always willing to try a new to us place and happy to get together with "old" friends. They were packed when we arrived, but we didn't have too long a wait for one of the just opened tables. We started by sharing an appetizer order of meatballs. There were two to the order and it was in a bath of tomato sauce. The meatballs were large. It was a good starter while waiting for our pizza to be ready. Our friends shared a side salad to start. It was a pretty basic salad with iceberg, but they'd expected it. For our pizza, we shared a medium white pizza and added mushrooms. It was just the right amount for the two of us. I saved one slice for my breakfast the next day. There were copious amounts of mushrooms, and it went well with the mix of cheeses (including creamy ricotta). Our friends got a large pizza -- one with sliced tomatoes and mozarella (sorry, forgot the name) and also added mushrooms. They wanted to have some leftovers for his lunch the next day. Both of us couples enjoyed their pizzas. We had very good service, as well, even though they were crazy busy. (And they don't take reservations.) I remember going to the original Mario's in North Miami many years ago when I first moved to Florida. I saw some of the garlic rolls being carried by our table and remembered liking those in the past. We'll have to go back and try some of their other Italian dishes -- as well as their garlic rolls. read more
