Not impressed with this restaurant, and I had high hopes . First of all, had fruit flys, and flys on top of the cold pizza . Then when they warmed it up, we got the Steak Stromboli - this got a 7. Super oily, and not much flavor . Then we got their BBQ Chicken Pizza. Another 7. Chicken was super dry. Lastly, a presto pizza . That was decent . 8. Pizza is ok, if you have to use the bathroom they have blocked the entire area off with chairs. Usually low class businesses do this when they're not willing to hire someone to take care of a certain area a.k.a. like the bathrooms or front entrance walkway. I went on Christmas Day at night and the place was busy. I asked the waitress for a table and he answered rude that I needed to order at the counter and then get a table something that was different to what he was just doing on bringing a full pizza to a table. When I went to order they omitted something that I order although they repeated the order and tried to charge me for a large party when I was only a party of 4 The food has flavor but it was not hot only a bit warm. The drinks were hot and we had to ask for ice so we can drink them. Honestly I don't see myself going back and I was a loyal customer at their former location. read more

I'm working in West Palm Beach. Took a walk for lunch and stumbled upon this on the corner of Clematis and Dixie very clean kind of a language barrier with the staff but let me tell you what this is some of the best pizza I've ever encountered in South Florida I tried a couple different kind. They were all excellent. They're write there in the case ready to go. definitely try it if you're in the area. Two thumbs up. read more

We were downtown for a bachelorette party and had a busy afternoon. After we did some bar hopping, everyone realized how hungry they were but we needed to get back home soon. Someone in the group decided to get us Nico's Pizza togo to take back with us! We got 3 different pizzas: cheese, Hawaiian, and pepperoni + sausage. The prices were pretty reasonable for the size of the pizzas. The slices are huge, you only need 2 or 3 pieces to start feeling full! The crust is thin which I usually like but this one didn't taste the best, it seemed like there was too much corn meal. The pepperonis were good but I didn't care for the sausage, it was thinly sliced and didn't taste like your typical authentic Italian sausage. These pizzas got the job done since we were all super hungry but it wasn't too special otherwise. read more

I was happy with Nico's, but this last time it took long to be served, they said they didn't have olives and tomatoes something that a pizzerias must have at all times. Then they disappeared, none in the room, I wanted another beer but nobody in the whole place, so I called over the phone and they answered, they couldn't believe that a customer from the inside was calling them. Very good! There is a 30% coupon when you check in, but they wouldn't honor it. Oh well. They are open until 4am Friday and Saturday, so I can't complain. The pizza was very good and sold in huge slices. Located conveniently by all the bars. My husband and I were excited to try Nico's Pizza for a casual night out, but unfortunately, our experience left us deeply upset. While placing our order, the staff member taking it was extremely insensitive toward my husband, who has a stutter. Instead of showing patience or basic decency, he belittled him in a way that was both unkind and completely unnecessary, especially considering the restaurant wasn't even busy at the time. We came in to enjoy a simple meal, not to feel humiliated or disrespected. Everyone deserves to be treated with compassion, especially when it comes to something as personal and uncontrollable as a speech difference. We left without finishing our meal, and with a very heavy heart. I hope management takes this seriously and implements training on how to treat all customers with dignity and respect. read more

Nico's is a classic. It's simple, unassuming, and straightforward. It very much feels like stepping into a quintessential New York pizza joint. You can be in and out in a few minutes, if you want, or post up at the counter top and take your time downing a slice. The pizza itself is good. Can't say it's great, but it absolutely hits the spot. While pizzas can be made to order, I wasn't able to add any toppings to my slice (I'm not sure why). But straight up pepperoni never hurt anyone. In fact, I think I've only ever gotten pepperoni from Nico's. So as far as I know all the other offerings are just for show. Anyway, if you've been drinking at any of the other fine establishments in the area, drop in for a break and enjoy some good ol' authentic pizza pie. read more

We were previously fans of Nico's, but will not be returning after a recent purchase. After getting the alla vodka pizza multiple times, we decided to try the full sized white pizza. On the website, the pizza is described as having tomato and spinach, and all images for this item feature the same. We opened the box to discover a pizza with neither tomato nor spinach; only cheese (and half pepperoni per our request). We called Nico's and inquired as to why there were no vegetables on the pizza and were told that the white pizza slice and whole white pizza are "completely different pizzas." We double checked the website and saw that the descriptions of the whole white pizza and the slice were different. However, the images for both included the vegetables. This is poor and misleading design on Nico's part. If "white pizza" includes two completely different pizzas based on the size, then they should have two completely different names. I doubt I'm the first customer to raise this issue, as the staff member on the phone had a quick response to our concern. read more

I'm sure this place gets a lot of business, being right on Clematis Street, but I have a feeling that it's mostly first time customers. I was a first time customer this last weekend. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a bottle of ice tea. I think the quality of the crust makes or breaks a pizza. The other ingredients are equally important. Nico's pizza crust was such a low rating on my scale. Too much corn meal. Not enough high gluten flour, which rises perfectly in the ovens. It just seems like they sacrificed quality for quantity. Again location is primo for their business, but I rather walk a few blocks further to get a better slice somewhere else. 2 stars for edible. read more

l was visiting a friend's apartment, so I decided to have lunch with him. When I heard about Nico's Pizza, I suggested that we give it a try! I wasn't impressed with their advertising at first. Considering its location on a corner street off Olive, I expected them to do a better job than just a few window signs and a relatively small banner that says 'Nico's Pizza.' Unless this is due to some corporate or city regulation, I believe a slightly bigger sign would be more appropriate. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a beautiful interior. It was a well-organized place with neatly arranged chairs, tables, and utensils. When I reached the counter, I was shocked to learn that a specialty slice cost over 6 dollars and a plain cheese slice was 4 dollars. I understand that the cost of living in West Palm, especially near Clematis, is high, but these prices seem excessively steep. I have yet to find another place with such high prices. After paying over 12 dollars for only two slices, my order came out fairly quickly. The only issue was that I received only one slice. I asked the gentleman who brought me my food about the other slice. He glanced at me for almost a minute before saying, 'You had a second slice?' He had taken my order less than 10 minutes ago and had forgotten. The restaurant was virtually empty, except for one party already eating, so I'm not sure what happened. It took 5 minutes to sort out that I had another slice, and I was almost at the point of pulling out my mobile banking app to show that I had paid 12 dollars here. I was never given a receipt. They quickly resolved the issue, and I did receive the slice I paid for. The slices were large and filling, but nothing particularly exceptional. The staff was friendly afterward and bid me goodbye. I always appreciate it when staff says hello and goodbye. Overall, it was an okay experience, and I might be able to overlook the mishap with forgetting one cheese slice. I cannot; however, overlook paying 7 dollars for a single pizza slice, even with toppings. read more

I have to say this used to be my favorite pizza place but today I had the worst experience with terrible service from what seems to be a manager that was listening to music on his headphones instead of listening to orders correctly. He got annoyed when I specifically specified again that my order is to go. Then he yelled at another customer and almost didn't give the guy the pizza he paid for just because the guy asked why he was being so rude. It is one the best pizza places in West Palm Beach with a fresh thin crust made right there on the premises you can taste of flavors in the sauces, and in the crust that brings it all together. I generally don't like places that do a lot of Wagyu. They tend to lean into the fat too much and don't balance their acids in contrast in their dishes. The cases are full of meats that you can take home and cook as well as cheeses that are exotic and interesting wines and beer and exotic sodas. All kinds of special condiments and foodstuffs. Service is excellent! Order at the counter, but they give you great attention! It's a small place. Desserts are so good that it's scary! Japanese Cream Sandos are a unique one! The dining room is clean comfortable, not pretentious. They're playing 80s Ramones tunes and "Cherry Bomb," and other tunes that just make you smile.

We paired our meal with a couple of their specialty soft drinks from Boylan Bottling Company, including the cane cola, which was a great touch. The ambience is intimate and inviting. I really loved the setup. They have a meat cooler on display featuring the meats they use and sell, bottles of wine on the shelves, and a refrigerator stocked with specialty drinks. It is not just a restaurant experience, but also a meat market where you can purchase Wagyu and other specialty meats. The whole place has a charming, little Italian-style decor that makes it feel unique and welcoming. Rosemary took our order, made excellent recommendations, and also came by to clear our table. This particular evening we arrived about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close more like 35 minutes before they were scheduled to close at 10 PM. It was a Friday night. We ordered a pizza and the rigatoni with mushrooms and cream sauce and I wanted to add a piece of salmon to it. After we sat down, my boyfriend's pizza came out in about seven minutes maximum. It was piping hot. The cheese was kind of sloppy and all over the place. It didn't really look like it was made with love. But he said it was good. My food however, took about 20 to 25 minutes longer than his pizza did. He was done eating his entire pizza before my food came out. That's never a good situation. They could've at least warned us of that, or let us know that that would be the case if they didn't realize it until they started making the food. There were only two other tables there. Once my food did come out, the salmon that I added for protein was almost $15. Obscene! I could get almost 3 pounds of salmon for that amount. It was maybe a 6 ounce piece maybe. And when they brought it out, it was raw in the middle. So I had to send it back and that was not met with a positive attitude, even though we brought up the issue with a very positive attitude despite having to wait almost 30 minutes for me to even get my food after my boyfriend had finished his pizza. They brought the salmon back and when they returned it, the employee was very pleasant and asked if I wanted to check it first. I ended up eating half of the pasta and packing the rest up to take home because by this time it was a few minutes after 10 o'clock and we didn't want to sit there as the only table left when we knew that they were obviously ready for closing time. One thing I must say is that I think divine intervention kept me in a great mood because they played my favorite journey song, they played my favorite song of all time, which is Tears for Fears. Everybody wants to rule the world, and then they played Bob Seger, who is definitely the artist who would've been my boyfriend or at least my celebrity crush had I've been born a few years earlier. All subs come with lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet and hot peppers, oil vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano, mayo, and mustard. Any other toppings are an additional price.
