I went here to celebrate both my birthday and my mom's birthday with the family. This location is pretty popular and always full we did get seated in the back corner which is a perfect spot. Our server Kara was quite knowledgeable with the dishes and very attentive even excited to take photos of the family at the end for the celebration. I ordered conch fritters and lobster bisque as an appetizer which was quite tasty. For my entree I ordered the seafood pescatore with a half a lobster tail. I did have to pull the shell away from the lobster and gave the mussles and clams to my son as I'm not a fan of those but enjoyed the rest of the dish. Everyone's dish was flavorful and I had some to take home. The pricing is a little above average for the plates. The server gave birthday ice cream with a cute happy birthday message on the plate. There is inside and outside seating . The outside seating had lights that made it inviting aside from some smokers that I noticed when I walked into the restaurant, the one reason I personally would not choose to sit outside. Working out of town always gives me a chance to discover new places. I met a few friends for dinner and they suggested Bimini Twist. It was a good choice! We had reservations but I didn't think it was necessary. The parking situation was a bit full, but luckily there was plenty of seating. It was rather noisy inside so we chose the outside seating area. The weather was absolutely beautiful so it was a good decision. We ordered some appetizers to share like the pita and hummus, escargot, and tuna dip. I had the sea bass with asparagus and rice. My friends got fried shrimp, two of them ordered mahi entree. I thought the escargot was flavorful and buttery but didn't love the pastry puff. The appetizers were average but my sea bass was the star of the show. It was really well seasoned and flaky. I'm definitely a big fan of the Miso sea bass but is one was pretty good. My friends all were a little jealous because they were happy with their dishes. The server was knowledgeable and great customer service. He was attentive and so were the support staff. My line sisters and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary together here on a Saturday evening. Our reservation was for 7:15pm and we were promptly seated when we arrived. We were a large party and I believe although the space was tight (really getting into the booth, not necessarily once seated) they did a great job accommodating 20+ people. For $90 we were provided with a three course prefixed dinner menu (to include soft drinks, no alcoholic beverages). Once everyone was seated our waiters began to take our drink orders and appetizers began to flood the table shortly after. We started with bang bang shrimp. Very sweet and slightly spicy. I loved that the shrimp weren't overly breaded. Next came out the spinach and artichoke dip. Quite a few of my line sisters passed on the dish immediately (I can only assume from previous encounters) but I thought the chips were fried nicely and the dip had a nice flavor although there was way too much cheese to really get to it. Last of the appetizers was the calamari which tasted very fresh. I however, wasn't a fan of the dip. By the end of appetizers our entree orders were being taken. I decided on the filet mignon (medium well) and a side of 'loaded' mashed potatoes. Again, too much cheese but good consistency in the mash portion size was big. The steak however tasted ehh. A little burnt and needed steak sauce but I honestly was so full I didn't bother in asking and requested a box instead. We ended the night with a dessert sampler which included a chocolate brownie, chocolate cake, key lime pie, bread pudding and crème brûlée cheesecake. We devoured everything except the bread pudding. The crème brûlée cheesecake and Keylime pie being my favorite tying neck and neck. Everything else also delicious but those two reigned supreme ending the night off wonderfully. After a couple of "good experiences" at Bimini Twist - Friday night I had a great experience! The food and service were top notch. I had the Maple Mustard Salmon. Excellent. Two sides are included and both were very generous sizes. The Spinach Maria is outstanding and baked potato was huge! All typical baked potato options were available and included. The cocktails were also a generous size. We sat outside and on busy nights I would suggest that as it can get a bit noisy inside. Now I fully understand why this place is always packed!! read more

A great place for a nice dinner/date night. Who doesn't like surf and turf with a side of delicious cocktails. Their menu is delicious and if you're into delicious seafood you'll love it here. We enjoyed the Bangin Bimini Shrimp to start with their amazing bang bang sauce. Bimini Twist was ultimately a mixed bag, partially due to the pricing for cocktails and food. For an establishment that caters to a beachy, shoreline clientele, Bimini Twist is an overpriced restaurant serving new American cuisine, emphasizing seafood and steak options that don't seem to hit the mark. Compared to other establishments that offer the same items and have a more satisfactory foodie experience for slightly less in areas north and east, Bimini is a spot that wants to be both upscale and attract the salt-life crowd, even if the latter may not be able to afford some of the items from menu glance. While the bartenders were decent in delivering orders for drink and food, and the kitchen was solid in getting my octopus and crème brulee cheesecake out, the cocktails made didn't hit the mark. After having an initial cocktail from the menu followed by a couple of extra dirty gin martinis, I felt that overall compared to other bars I had frequented, these were middle of the road. Not bad, but compared to places in Palm Beach Gardens, not the best either. If you're going to spending $20 a cocktail, they better be close to perfection. However, their espresso martinis were wicked good. I will tip my hat to them there. That hit the spot with the cheesecake I had that was also good. The octopus was one of the only items on the menu I was willing to try for the price. The grilled dish was made very well and a good portion size. While the seashore/polished wood ambiance was appropriate for the theme of Bimini Twist, one would think there would be more economically sound items on the menu if you're going for beachy. Ultimately, it's not a bad dining experience here, but for the money, unless you need something close to your house in Royal Palm and Loxahatchee, you could do better. read more

Pleasure dining at Bimini twist last night! Got lucky with bar area seats on a busy Saturday night around 7p, highly recommend reservations. It's an American seafood fare focused eatery offering grill items such as various steak cuts. Cocktails are pretty classic. Not upscale per se but quite nice and existing over 20 years they are doing things right! Inside is kitschy and clean with a partially open kitchen. Skip was the kindest most on point server and Sharon offer A+ hospitality as well. We had the spicy calamari (sauce on the side to keep it crispy per Skip's rec) it was perfectly crispy with tender squid inside, it worked surprisingly well with the blue cheese also. The Mahi Mahi with added bernaise was lightly seasoned to accentuate the freshness, delicious alongside the Spinach Maria and homemade sweet potatoes fries with a superb sweet cinnamon sauce. My BOB bubbles cocktail was strong and delightful, the pear martini was nice but not my fave with the aftertaste. Tasted my friend's bimini shrimp it was fresh but just ok. Came here for a nice dinner with family before a show. We had a reservation for 5pm on a Friday, right when they opened, and there was a line out the door before 5pm! The place is clearly very popular. Little minor hiccup with our seating was handled quickly by staff. The restaurant is clean with a nice, classic seafood atmosphere. I got a traditional mojito that was fine. I was pleasantly surprised with the wasabi ahi tuna entree. 8oz is a huge serving for seared tuna, and it was delicious. I could've done with a little bit more wasabi sauce and ginger, but overall I was very happy. The spinach maria is their signature side for a reason. A super popular restaurant on Okeechobee Blvd near Wellington and Royal Palm. Plenty of parking, and gets packed the minute it opens. Palm trees greet you as you walk up to the building. The place is grandiose inside. Decor from the ocean to the sea lace the place. Menu looks fantastic, and on Thursdays it is "Tipsy Thursdays" where drinks are discounted. Our food came out in waves and everything was delicious. Our server was so helpful and kind - she stole the show. Yes we did expect a high bill bc we were in the mood for seafood. But 1 less star because the prices were higher than a normal seafood place. The prices were as if we were oceanside or beach front. So having just moved to the area, I stumbled across this place on a Saturday evening, there were people waiting out the door. I immediately assumed that this was a neighborhood hot spot. Man was I WRONG ! The food was below average, I started with their Mew England calm chowder , which was described on the menu as being amazing. It was absolutely disgusting, a can of Progresso is 50x better than this tasteless , clam-less mushy potato slop, not made in house and as fresh as the oyster crackers served with it. told my server that it was gross... they didn't care and acted like I should have known. Okay, so I'm going to give this restaurant four stars mainly because of the service and the vibe. Not necessarily because of the food. Explanation: The food was okay but way overpriced in my opinion. I had the Seafood Pescatore which was okay but bland missing that expected seasoned flavor. I mean the seafood / pasta in it was fresh but was missing that zesty flavor in the sauce. Cost was $46 - not too crazy. My friend had the Filet Mignon & Lobster Tail for $86 with fresh salad and sweet potato fries. It was just okay but not worth $86. The sweet potatoes were not eatable because they were just too greasy. My meal also came with a fresh salad. We had two coronas and the total bill came to $154.62 for two. I will comeback and give them another try when I am in town. Obviously , the locals love them because they were jammed packed even at 19:00 when we arrived without reservation I might add but they were able to accommodate us immediately. Which was nice. I recommend calling and making reservations. What saved them for us is the incredible customer service and the overall vibes of the restaurant. I have been to many restaurants during my travels in the state of Florida andI have found that it is unusual to encounter excellent customer service at most restaurants in Florida. Came to this location for a birthday dinner. They offer seafood & steak however the menu had a lot of options that can appeal to a group. They offer warm bread to start the meal and it is really good! It was still warm & soft when it was brought to the table. The service was top notch. Our waitress was very attentive && on top of it which was impressive bc she also had a massive party she was working on at the same time. Parking is ample! A big win in south Florida. The food was pretty good. We ordered the crab cake, coconut shrimp, mahi dinner, strip & lobster tail meal, and steak tips. The crab cake was a winner. Lots of lump crab meat and very little filler, which is just how I like em. The mahi-mahi was good and the steak and lobster were good. My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for years. After going there on Saturday night and having a server by the name of TABITHA, we will never go there again. This restaurant isn't a cheap place, so when you go there you expect your server to be friendly. The attitude of this server is one that you would expect from a drive through worker at a fast food restaurant. She was rude and condescending when the ladies at our table asked any questions. But when the men asked anything she put on her best fake face, thinking that she better be nice to them since they're paying and leaving the tip. It was very obvious. Anniversary dinner is always here. I 99% of the time get their Chilean sea bass. It's quite expensive and usually around $50. They put some sort of sauce on it that's Asian and it leaves a caramelized coating to the fish. You get two sides and I always get a side salad in spinach Marie. My husband rotates his food and never a disappointment. They have some happy hour meal deals (I'm not sure if you need to sit at the bar for this) I believe it's about 20% off certain foods only. I had previously heard mixed reviews of this place. So I was skeptical going to dinner, but the food was really good. I got the maple mustard salmon and the serving size was great. It ended up being two servings of salmon. They also bring out warm garlic bread for the table. The crowd is definitely older, but we did go to dinner at 5 PM on a Friday which is when they open. The place filled up pretty quickly after they opened. We did need to ask for our waters to be filled up a couple times but overall the experience was really good and I was happy with my food. We have been here several times but never had an issue. The food and service were always good. However our last visit was not good. When we received our orders the hamburger was undercooked without the grilled onions. The waiter and manager both confirmed and took the burger back. Problem was that instead of taking mine back also, so we could eat together, I ended up eating alone so my fish and chips wouldn't be cold. When we talked to the manager again later and complained about how it was handled he didn't offer any resolution. Maybe a sorry or free dessert? Neither. He simply said, I took 1 burger off the bill. After many visits over time, the quality and service have gone downhill. Tonight, we ordered calamari, it was soaked in grease, bad enough that we were using our napkins to get the grease off, then just gave up and didn't eat it. The salad was a joke. Dinner arrived. My steak tips were raw. We told the server to not bring back the same steak tips as they were covered in sauce and they wouldn't taste the same. He responded "really?" My husband said, yes,really. After the server left, the owner came over to speak to us. My husband explained our dissatisfaction with the food. The owner later brought the recooked steak tips out. When I cut the steak and it was obviously rare rather than medium, the owner stated that I had cut the bigger piece. I told him all was fine and I would eat it. I would have never left this review if I hadn't really looked at the receipt. The owner provided a $50 "Dislike Discount". First the presentation of that is awful, second, while they circled the grease soaked calamari and the steak tips which total $50, they forgot to circle at the bottom where they recharged me for the steak tips, meaning the steak tips were not a "dislike discount" I clearly paid for them, which I have no problem paying for even though they were raw, it is the fact that he circled the calamari and steak tips as if to show o didn't have to pay for them.
