Stay away from this place! It's a horribly run establishment, and dirty as hell to say the least. Lost my business when I walked in to the place. The pours here are heavy handed which is a plus and the bartenders are super friendly. I've watched this place change from a more traditional bar with pool tables in the back to what it is now, which is sort of a combination of hipster haunt (with preserves decorating the front wall and a great craft beer selection) and weekend club. Seriously, the DJ and the rap battle were not what I was expecting. I'll also give them props for being the only place that serves food past 10 pm in Sutter Creek, even if it is three different fried offerings of a combination of them together. For the most part, the layout is great, the bartenders cheerful, the patrons an interesting mix of regulars and out-of-towners. Even the random DJ'd mix and unintelligible rap freestyle were good conversation pieces.

He completely ignored me and walked off. Now, I don't expect anything whatsoever for my very very very very distant Elvis relation. But, it's sometimes a talking point. When he walked off, I just said, "Ok". He snapped, "I'm busy", looked down at his phone suddenly and walked out back. I love Sutter Creek and maybe he had a bad day since their business mustered up maybe 5 people on the night. But as long as he's there, I'll never be a patron

A Pleasant Surprise with a Small-Town Feel…read more This one caught me off guard--in a good way. I was out with my family practicing for my daughter's driving test at the DMV up the street. We pulled up Yelp to find a good lunch spot, saw the solid reviews, and decided to give it a try. When we walked in, the atmosphere had that small-town vibe--simple, welcoming, and comfortable. The food was very good. The service wasn't polished like a Michelin star restaurant, but it didn't need to be. It was authentic and heartfelt, and sometimes that matters more. You could tell the staff cared about what they were doing. The place was busy, especially for the time of day we went, which tells you something. People come here on purpose. That says a lot. We were seated quickly, our order was taken without any issues, and the food came out in a reasonable time. When it hit the table, the portions were generous and satisfying. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was too busy enjoying the moment. If you go, post your photos--I'm sure the business would appreciate it. If you've followed my reviews, you know I don't give out 4 stars often, and 5 stars are rare. This place earned that extra star because of how it made me feel--between the food, the atmosphere, and the service, it just worked. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely coming back for another meal.
