Very accommodating! They were able to take our large family without any issues. Not only that, but there were usually about three people assisting us with great service. It definitely feels like old Jackson. It's a brewery through and through. The bar is beautiful wood and it feels like you step back in time eating here. With one minor exception, everything here was above and beyond the expected. The onion rings were great, the little ones wanted another order. The green beans with the Chipotle aioli might be the second best thing on the menu (1st is to come). The spice was perfect and the breading extra crunchy. The wings were spicy and cooked perfect. The only disappointment was the cauliflower. The buffalo sauce was underwhelming and the blue cheese (spread) didn't work. The main dishes were great all around. Not one bite of any burger wad left over and the fish and Chios disappeared quickly. The highlight was the pesto fries and French dip burger. The pesto fries are drenched in fresh basil pesto with parmesan. The French dip burger is a burger patty topped with roast beef and onions with au jus. It's seriously the best of both worlds. A French dip and a burger. I will definitely be back for this alone. We made a reservation since out party was over 10, but you could definitely walk in and find a table without much wait. Went here the other day with my husband and it was nice. We went midweek and it was quiet, not many people there at all. Service was decent though the food took a bit to come out for not having a lot of customers. Still the food was good and pretty straightforward. My husband got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich which he said wasn't too spicy, but had a nice balance. The sweet potato fries cut the spice nicely. I got the patty melt and it was good, but certain bites were rather spicy. The spice wasn't uniform throughout the burger, which was odd, but I was glad it wasn't throughout, cause I didn't want it spicy. Gayle and I had a solid lunch experience here last Saturday. We were driving down to the Bay Area from Genoa (via Highway 88) and found Downtown Jackson to be a convenient place for Lunch. If you're here to hop onto Wi-Fi and stare at your phone for an hour, this is not your place as their bandwidth is barely enough to handle their own business needs. Past that: - Service was friendly, prompt, and otherwise stellar. - Our high table seats were comfortable and the dining room atmosphere was welcoming. - My Blue Burger (with Fries) and Gayle's Jalapeno Burger (with Onion Rings) were both excellent. - There was lots to choose from beer wise, but at the same time giving Gayle a fairly impressive wine selection. I was happy with my Porter, as was Gayle with her Chardonnay. - Burgers (with Side) were priced at around $16, while my beer and Gayle's wine were $7 and $8 respectively. Brickhouse brew is a cute little brewery in old town Jackson. We order the jalapeño burger and the argonaut steak sandwich, both medium-rare, with pesto fries and sweet potato fries. Both meals were absolutely amazing, we shared half of each sandwich/burger. Couldn't tell you which was better as they were both amazing in flavor, presentation, and cooked perfectly!! Only suggestion is to have grilled onions on the steak sandwich, the onions that fell off the burger we added to the sandwich and next time we come here we will request that addition. We were in the cute little downtown of Jackson and decided to try Brickhouse Brews for lunch. What a fabulous place. Great decor and TVs for all the games. They have a bar and a separate side room which would be perfect for parties. Our server was Jessica and she made us feel very welcome. She refilled drinks when she noticed they were getting low, had nice conversation, didn't rush us at all and she also suggested different things on the menu when we asked her opinion. The bartender was Brian "Skip." My husband had been in about 2 weeks earlier for the very first time and he brought his brother and their cousin. Brian remembered them and asked where "the guys" were. Impressive that he remembered customers after only meeting them once. (Of course, it probably helped that they are all loud, funny, fun and love their beer). So the food... We started with their loaded tater tots. Tater tots, cheese, bacon, and green onions. The tater tots were cooked perfectly. Very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would definitely order these again. I had the steak sandwich with a side of some of the best onion rings I've ever had. The steak was a very tender ribeye and cooked exactly how I asked for it. What I also liked was that it was the steak and a bit of mayonnaise on a roll and that's it. No lettuce, no tomatoes or onions to take away from the taste. Just steak and mayonnaise. Perfect. My husband had the western burger with a side salad and he loved it. He said the salad tasted "very fresh." Our daughter had the jalapeño burger with sweet potato fries. She said the burger was excellent. The fries came out looking a little over done and when Jessica put the dish in front of her, she told my daughter to try them and she would have the kitchen redo them if necessary. She said she had told the cooks they looked a little too done to serve, but the cooks insisted they were fine. My daughter tried one and said that despite how they looked, they were very good. But, we definitely appreciated that Jessica wanted to make sure we were happy with the meal. This was a really nice place with very personable and friendly staff and great food. Sitting right on Main Street is this spacious beer bar with a separate wine room. We navigated through the extensive wine menu and even tried a few thanks to our amazing waitress. Jessica was simply amazing. We really enjoyed the wines they had to offer for $8 per glass. We landed on a couple of highly regarded menu items thanks to Yelpers like YOU! Wedge Salad: 8 - Delicious crispy bacon and crisp iceberg lettuce was a healthy portion. Nice diced tomatoes but no blue cheese crumbles or fresh ground black pepper. Definitely a good value French Dip with Pesto Fries: 10 - Words can't describe how tender, juicy and delicious this roast beef is from their local butcher. This is a plain French dip with bread, meat, and au jus yet it is the best French dip I've had in 25 years (that place is now closed). This is the best French dip in the world...the bread was also delicious as it was tender and toasted to a crunch. The au jus was also very good. Worth a drive from anywhere in California if you ask me! Drytown Red on Red, Noceto Rosso, and Leoni Humbug Hill Red we're all amazing wines. Saluti Great spot to pop in for a drink OR a meal. Third time going there. This last time was not a good experience. When we walked in there was hardly anyone there on a Saturday evening around 6:45pm. Not bad looking when you walk in, but if you look up things need to be dusted. Service was decent, menu was what you'd expect at a brewhouse. I ordered a wedge salad and a brew, I enjoyed it. The two people I was with ordered fish. One ordered fish and chips and the other was a cod sandwich. Both received fish patties which they later said tasted like it was frozen and nuked. One had pesto fries and enjoyed them the other with the fish and chips were not to be desired, skinny and dried up fries. One experienced heartburn for the first time in her life rather quickly, the other had serious bowel issues the next morning. Needless to say, we won't be returning. read more

Working in a taproom, you should have SOME knowledge of beer being served in the establishment. She got extremely rude and unprofessional because she didn't know a single thing about the beer on tap. She had a serious attitude because she was asked if she could find out the percentages on certain beers. She argued about what a double IPA was, insisting that a beer was considered a double because it was "hoppy". Then refused to serve our table, after we asked about percentages. Stopped by here for lunch while checking out Jackson on the way back from Tahoe. The beef here is the star. I ordered the french dip sandwich and the meat was really good. Also got it with some yummy onion rings. Decent size for the price, thought it was worth it and overall satisfying. Two of my friends got burgers and they both really enjoyed it. We have wanted to try this restaurant for a bit but it was usually too crowded when we were in town, we got lucky this weekend. We were seated quickly, and given water and silverware w straight away. After that is was a very very long time until we were finally able to order. It was busy, but not as busy as that and there were quite a few servers. I wanted to leave but the others didn't want to find another place so we stayed. We did finally get to order and then we waited ... and waited .... and waited. The food finally came and it looked so good. They chicken wings were more than I expected, and the cook came by and asked how I liked them and said there were only a couple left in the bag so she tossed them in, which I thought was very nice. They wings were so so tasty! Good sized too, not scrawny at all! My husband got a Ruben with sauerkraut (extra 90 cents) and onion rings, which there was no up charge for. He said the onion rings were amazing, crisp and easy to eat. The onion was easy to bite through and didn't all come out at once. The sandwich was good sized and he said it was delicious. It was around 4:30 on a Sunday and I was excited to find an eating establishment that had good reviews and wasn't a chain joint in this area that was open until 6pm. I get to the restaurant at around 4:40, sit down, and was promptly greeted and my order taken. A few minutes later things started getting odd, my server (receipt says Cheyanne) came to ask if I would be using ketchup, I said yes of course. She then removed the ketchup from my table and told me she'd bring back a cup of ketchup (huh?). I turned around to take a look at the operating hours sign, Yelp and the restaurant's own menu were wrong, they now close at 5 on Sunday. At just about 4:59, the other server came over and quickly flipped the open sign to closed and ran out the door. Just as quickly she came back and started making a production of stacking chairs at the few empty tables (place was still about 2/3 full). A large party left, and the other server made it a point to talk about them negatively in the dining room to my server, who thankfully did not appear to be a willing participant in the conversation. The other server gave mine a bad time about only having stacked one chair. I worked retail for the better part of two decades, I get the need to vent sometimes, but take it out of the hearing range of paying guests. The burger, fries, and ketchup ration I received were decent. I also have to say that my server (Cheyanne) was gracious, she should probably be the lead server instead of Ms. Drama Queen. Came in on a Friday afternoon and it was packed. Was told 3 times by 3 different wait staff someone would be with us shortly. Took about 15 minutes before someone finally came to take our order and we made sure we ordered our drinks and food to avoid further delays. Took about 5 minutes to get our drinks....another 15 to get our food. The waitress kept apologizing for the delay. We took a chance for date night and wanted to try something different. So we went to brick house brews and we are so happy we tried something new. This place was packed busy and AWESOME. Brought a large group here on the way out backpacking. They accommodated the 8 of us quickly. The vibe is Brew Pup. I was very impressed with the small craft beer selection, rivaling a Bay Area spot. All beers are rotated We all pretty much had burgers. Their meat is sourced locally and is delicious. All burgers are 1/2 pound and charbroiled to your liking. Our waitress was not attentive at all, made errors on small stuff and never even acknowledged the mistake with a sorry, just gave a smug smile and ok and fixed the mistake. We were in the area for a hike around Lake Tabeaud and naturally we had worked up an appetite so we need something substantial to eat. After checking with Yelp to see if there was anything new in the area we had no been to yet we came across Brickhouse. And has you may or may not have gathered from my other reviews, my husband and I are beer snobs so this place was right up our alley lol. This is a relatively new establishment on Main Street in Jackson right off the main highway. I love the feel of Main street and Brickhouse does nothing but enhance this feeling. They did a great job restoring this location, making it feel new yet not stand out with the look of the rest of main street. I love love love the big open window in the front, its perfect on a nice day like the day we were there. We chose to sit at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. He indulged our desire to sample a few of the beers before we decided on what to drink. I also love that they have rotating taps so you can always try something new each time you go there. The bartender made some menu suggestions as well. His suggestions didn't disappoint. My husband and I both ordered the Jalapeno burger. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Everything tasted really fresh. And I'm not sure what type of bun it came on but it was different than any other hamburger bun I've had, in a good way. Now on to the fries... you can order regular fries but who really wants to do that, BORING! No they allow you to upgrade your fries to sweet potato fries or get this, pesto fries. Who does that? This place! But I love both so I decided to do both, pesto sweet potato fries... AMAZING COMBO, try it!
