This was the place that we ate out at for brunch the first day of 2026! First thing out of the gate was Eli was our server and he did a great job. What a fine young man. Limited Menu for brunch but I have to say the Omellette that I had that usually has mile (a Mexican Sauce), I replaced with Hallandaise sauce. The Omellette tasted excellent. The coffee here was real smooth and not bitter ... quite excellent! So Al why did you not give it five stars? Here's why? The portiions for the price were somewhat small and the toast were three small slices of bread and for the price you paid for the breakfast you did not receive potatoes. I felt that was bit odd! I observed a few Hamburgers coming out and they looked quite large but the breakfast options did not have the same portion. On a day that the rain was so heavy that Noah would have taken a raft I really liked this place and I will be coming back. I also need to say that they had menu items on a Chalk Board that has quite a selection. What a great place in the heart of the lower foothills in Volcano! By the way, the atmosphere is quite charming. I hardly use that term has a man but that is how I would describe it.

Fantastic elevated pub food. Great service and beer and wine. Worth a detour to the cute village of Volcano

Celebrating my birthday at Volcano Union restaurant.

Everything about our dining experience was top-notch and amazing. The atmosphere, excellent and attentive service, and exceptional food made my birthday dinner memorable and amazing.

This is one of my favorite spots! Chef Eric is amazing and so is the rest of the staff. Our server Paola was wonderful as well! Every single bite of food was delicious. We started with the mushroom bruschetta which I think I drooled over it was so creamy ( hubby hates mushrooms and loved it) and the pickled veggies plate. Then, I got the Monday special which came with a peach Caprese salad and a chicken pesto pasta. phenomenal!!!!Hubby got his fav- fried chicken which was both so crunchy and so moist! Can't wait to go back!

Cute outdoor patio with the ambiance of the tree providing shade was the perfect hang out spot! The service was amazing! I will say, the ordering at the counter isn't ideal, but it wasn't a big deal for us. It's a pub, so I would expect to do it that way. So refreshing to be serviced by attentive, sweet, down-to-earth people. Kaylee was our "server" & she was SO good. The chef/manager even came by our table to touch base on how everything was. Our food was 10/10 delicious!! Appetizer we got the shishito peppers & mushroom bruschettaI got the lamb burger with goat cheese & spicy ranch sauce - so much flavor! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cool place to lounge & eat amazing food.

Can't say enough good things about this little gem in Volcano, CA. We were there for a romantic weekend-again! The staff especially stands out for me--friendly, attentive and more than happy to help make your stay wonderful. We've stayed in the Limon room all three times we've visited--because--the tub! It also has direct access to the balcony, which is great for enjoying an evening glass of wine or morning coffee while watching Volcano go by. Bring your earplugs, however, as with all old buildings, there is not much between you and the restaurant noise one floor down. We also find an eyemask to be useful as we are not accustomed to light from street lamps at night. The food is great with a nice selection and specials that really add to the menu. Again--the staff is top notch as well. Overall, you can't go wrong at the Union Inn and Pub!

How are the accommodations? Have read great things about the Pub and food, but can find no reviews on the lodging. Thanks.

Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard. It is difficult to find such peace and serenity anywhere. Aah... We anticipate return visits

The meals were uber fresh (filling enough that we skipped lunch both days!). Every day around 5 you're treated to wine and cheese. Perfect location to wine taste on property or venture out to the growing number of top rated wineries. Walk amongst the vineyards or take out one the beach cruisers or trikes for a ride around. They withheld half of our deposit without any proof of damages. First, they missed their own contractual deadline -- only returning part of the deposit after 30 days had passed. Then, they fabricated reasons to keep the remaining amount. They claimed one of our guests vomited and automatically deducted a $250 "cleaning fee" that appears nowhere in the signed contract -- only buried in an FAQ section on their website, which is not a binding agreement. The "evidence" they provided showed nothing more than two small spots in a shower and a dirty rug that simply needed to be washed. They also alleged "water damage" to a laminate floor and even claimed they had to replace the adjoining bedroom floor "for continuity". This was completely false -- there was no visible damage when we checked out, and the walkthrough that morning revealed nothing of concern. When we tried to resolve this professionally, the owners were rude, dismissive, and uncooperative. Their conduct has forced us to pursue the matter in small claims court to recover the remaining deposit. It's a shame that such a beautiful venue is managed so poorly. I would not recommend The Ranch at Stoney Creek to anyone who expects honesty, professionalism, or basic fairness.

We stayed in the Stone Pine room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was a good enough size for a couple, had a private entrance, and did not share any walls with other rooms. Very peaceful and quiet. Keep in mind there was no cell service in this room (Verizon), due to the more secluded location, but the wifi worked great. The star of the show were the outdoor soaking tubs, which really made the experience so special. The tubs are more like bathtubs than jacuzzis, with temperature adjustments which was perfect for being pregnant, and no yucky chlorine smell after. Amazing! The breakfasts were delicious each day and part of the magic of the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delivered to the room promptly and the owners were willing to accommodate my dietary restriction. Coffee/tea was available via Keurig in the rooms (Starbucks and Peet's pods) with plenty of cream and sugar options. The only downside to our stay was that we ended up having to lose our *full* pay for an expensive massage package due to a personal medical emergency. I am not docking stars on this rating because I understand they are running a business, we signed the policy, etc. This is just my personal opinion on a unique situation for you as a potential guest to know. Because they contract out for their spa services, just beware they do not have a forgiving policy. I happened to have a horribly timed medical emergency at the time of our massage. The masseuses were already onsite and we felt terrible, but I was physically unable to get the massage and needed to go to the hospital promptly. We informed the owners what was going on every step of the way, and they were kind and understanding in the moment given a bad situation. However, I was disappointed they offered no support with brainstorming a potential reschedule (we were willing to pay more), offer a partial refund, small future discount, etc... nothing. It was honestly just crickets from them and seemed to be unsaid that it was not their problem. This might come down to personal opinion, but it felt cold and dampened our experience. I ended up having to be the one to reach out to the owner via text, and again in person when we returned to the Inn to inquire about a reschedule or any support with the matter. The owner stated there were no slots available, no refunds, and cited having to put strict policies in place due to people in the past missing massages for arriving late, oversleeping, etc. Again, this just felt cold considering the terrible morning scare we had, which clearly was different than just being irresponsible. This kind of humanity in hard situations is what sets certain businesses apart for me in extenuating circumstances, and keeps guests coming back. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would choose to revisit the Eden Vale Inn given all the other great and accommodating features of our stay.
