Slightly pricey, BUT honestly for the quality it's worth it. We don't have a ton of coffee shops in the area, so if you're gonna treat yourself - highly recommend Brewed Expressions. My bestie and I met up for a quick day together and really enjoyed our drinks and meals at Brewed Expressions. She ordered the French Soda and the breakfast sandwich and I did a custom iced latte (white chocolate and pistachio with almond milk) and the smoked Gouda grilled cheese. Everything was very good and perfectly made. They did run out of eggs that morning so my friend's breakfast sandwich was just a bagel, cheese, and bacon. They didn't have any sauces to add to it. The workers were so friendly and helpful. They clearly know the regular customers and they stayed busy. My friend and I aren't familiar with Van Wert and the staff was happy to recommend local businesses for us to visit while he hung out. We were there on a Saturday morning and it was busy, but there's ample seating so it was fine. It was cute inside and the enjoyed the exposed brick walls. read more

We tried to stop but they are now closed. I am not sure how long or if it is permanent. Another group also tried to stop when we were there. Bummer UPDATE. There is a cafe and a drive through. I didn't realize that. The drive through is about 1.5 miles away. I got an iced latte. It is good. There was a line but we got through in about 20 minutes. read more

I first came into Brewed Expressions due to the 2020 Van Wert Chocolate Walk. Discovering Brewed Expressions because of the chocolate walk was one of the main reasons I am so thankful I went on that walk! I had been trying to find a place to get some coffee (if I didn't have the time to make my own) in town. Since then, it has quickly become my favorite coffee shop I have ever been too. It reminds me almost as a perfect amalgamation of several different coffee shops/stores I have been to and loved. The selection reminds me of Starbucks. The decor/ambience reminds me of Pasion Del Cielo down in Miami... but nicer/better. I also love how they have a gift shop with home goods to buy... which reminds me a bit of Cracker Barrel! Because they are located downtown, it gives it a cool vibe. Downtown Van Wert has so many old buildings and it being in its heart, really perfectly blends the old with the new. It's also great because after shopping for a bit you can stop in and have a nice cup of coffee. This is especially important during a cold day! Their coffee is hot and delicious and it's comfortable to have a nice hot cup of coffee while there. I have yet to try their frappes, although when winter ends I will certainly... or their food but I am sure I will soon. Their coffee, though, addicting and flavorful! Service is great too. Could this place be better? I am sure... I hope one day I come in to find they serve Cuban coffee too (my favorite). I am from Miami after all, but that's unrealistic... it definitely would be awesome though! Beyond that? No I think this place is absolutely wonderful! I am very glad it's so close to my house. They also have a second location that's a drive-thru location, which I plan to check out soon. read more

It's always nice when you're visiting a town and trying local restaurants/businesses and the experience is great. That's what happened here. I am visiting Van Wert for work and stopped by Brewed Expressions. I felt so bad walking in 15 minutes before closing but the staff was still so nice and welcoming. I ended up getting the a jumbo 24oz iced Chai Tea Latte, which was recommended by the barista. I was fantastic! I'd highly recommend this place. Such a cute shop! read more

Came here before shooting a wedding with my friend. She comes here before every wedding she shoots and I'm glad she brought me. Super friendly staff and yummy food and chai tea. A wonderful small town coffee shop in the heart of downtown! Offers a great selection of coffees, lattes, smoothies, and breakfast/lunch options. The ambiance is very warm and cozy. Nitpicking, I'd like to see drink options for small kids. They have added juice boxes but small milk boxes or cups of milk would be great! Right now, if my toddler wants milk, they get an adult small cup filled up and it's super expensive, especially when they never drink it all. read more

I never thought Paulding County would ever have a coffee shop! Sometimes the McDonalds in Paulding just doesn't cut it. Happy to see Payne developing.
