A place where you can have Indian food is great! It also does have more American food in the menu, for those who do not or have family who want to stick with what they know. My family has eaten a few times from here, taking carry out each time. Ordering is convenient as they both have a website and you can call in. The food is absolutely delicious! My family has eaten the following items: 1) Chicken Tika-Masala: Savory and spicy dish... has the right amount of kick to it: We love it! 2) Chicken Pakora: my personal favorite dish, its an appetizer. It is so good! It's salty, it's crunchy! Yum! 4) Butter Chicken: Families favorite dish. The delicious taste will melt you like butter under a. hot sun. 5) the rice and naan bread are very good. 6) Gulab Jamun. This dessert has just the right amount of sweet components! We should have bought more but will the next time! I could go on, this place is great! And we are very lucky to have this place open up! Highly recommend if you live in Van Wert! Cmon, try something new!

We had a range of appetizers from samosas to padpi chaat. All we tried were delicious. Our entrees ranged from Tikka Masala to Biryani to Curries, the Biryani and Curries came with a choice of meat- adding Garlic Naan bread made the perfect meal. Don't be afraid of the spice - the medium was easy. I'll step it up to spicy next time - but not 'Indian Spicy'. The food is all homemade by the owners and incredible. The service is also from family and impeccable. Anything that we were unfamiliar were clearly explained For anyone who is looking for a change from Van Wert' standard Mexican/Chinese/Beer Barrel options, I highly recommend Lucky's Hot Spice and Rice.

There were times back in Jan-Feb where my brother picked me up some Subway sandwiches from this location. He loved the service and the sandwich was good. The one time I picked up from here, I did not have a good experience. I came in and was getting sandwiches for my family, and I was giving the order to someone. I am not sure if the person taking my order/making the sandwich was new but he was getting some direction from another employee. He put the condiments into my sandwich before he realized that I wanted my sandwich toasted. The guy gave me a dirty look like it was my fault and he wasn't happy when I said I still wanted a toasted sandwich. He had to discard the sandwich. His fellow employee then looked at him and said: "what's wrong with you.". Not sure what that was all about but this is what happened. I haven't returned since then. Will I return? I may. I do like Subway and sometimes I just crave a hot sandwich.

Plenty of beer, including craft beer, wine, and liquors. But, it's more than that. It has a deli that makes sandwiches or sells you cut meats or cheeses, it will sell you fresh steaks, it has a varied selection of candy, jelly beans and fine chocolates. It has gourmet coffee for sale. There are gift baskets for purchase. It's pretty much a one stop shop for a great party or perhaps a romantic dinner! I came twice to this store already, and plan on coming much more often. The first time, I came to check it out. I kept hearing from so many people I work with that this place is great. They are right! I was pleased to finally find a liquor store that sold at least one of my favorite wines (Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio) and had other wines I would truly. I was happy to find out the store sold one of my favorite brands of chocolate (Sanders) and even had its sea salt version! It also has craft beers! Awesome! I talked to the owner, great guy. He told me about the steaks and how I can order certain cuts and he would have them shipped to the store. He even advised that if there was a certain wine I wanted that wasn't sold there, he would also have it shipped! Yes! I think he also mentioned (and it's on their menu) that they sold hot foods on certain days before 4:00 pm... including soups, bbq pork, and other meals. hmmm will have to see and check it out. I came a second time during the chocolate walk. They were handing out plenty of chocolate treats but also booze! They had Rumchata Limon, A Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer that tasted like coffee and a dark chocolate wine. If you know me, you can guess I went for the wine! Wonderful! Will have to buy some in the future! Someone I met during the chocolate walk said it was a bit too strong for her taste... not for me... perfect! Chocolaty goodness that with the liquor warmed me up during an especially frigid day during the chocolate walk! Great place! I have to come back once I have finished settling into my new house!

Pro tip: stand at the far right cash register and stare wistfully at the chalkboard menu for Rager's. DO NOT get in the Hot Heads line. Check out my photo. Recommend ordering it with those exact toppings. I couldn't even slow down to take a picture before I was four bites in. The sear on that patty off a "busy" grill (I prefer to say dirty, but people get crazed over that adjective I use in a living way) is AMAZING. I also had to endure a manager belittling employees in front of a full line of customers, while I waited patiently for my sandwich. But that battle can be saved for another day. Maybe she will be the one to read this review and tell me she was having a REALLY bad day. Maybe her employer will read this and remedy the situation. Maybe I will know the results when I walk back in soon for another sausage sandwich. It's a crazy world who knows what could happen!

The Rager Sausage Sandwich is a play on a Hamburger/ Cheeseburger but instead of the beef patty they use a homemade original sausage recipe from 1920s that is fantastic. The meat was cooked "smash style" and was seriously delicious. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was phenomenal, we've eaten at a lot of BBQ places around the country but nothing compared to this. The pork was seasoned and cooked perfectly and it literally melts in your mouth. The homemade BBQ sauce was the best I've had. The bacon in the BLT is cured in house and was cooked to order. You can't go wrong with a BLT but theirs was over the top. For the sides we tried the fries, onion rings, Dough Boy and Dough Girl. The Fries were good but nothing to really talk about but the Dough Boy and Dough Girl were so good, the Dough Boy was definitely the winner of the two. Hopefully they keep the onion rings so that you guys can try them. Overall this place is definitely worth a stop when passing by Van Wert, the food, service, and overall ambiance of this place really makes it a spot to remember and somewhere to return to every time you're in the area. I'm definitely going to be eating here a lot.

Don't Let the Exterior Fool You--This Place is an Absolute Gem!…read more If you are just driving past, you might completely miss Salvatori's since it's attached to an older gas station. But don't let that fool you for a single second. Step inside, and you're instantly met with a cozy, inviting, and bustling little neighborhood Italian joint that packs a serious punch. ### The Vibe & Service The New Haven spot is small--it only seats about 48 people--which actually gives it an awesome, high-energy, intimate atmosphere. Even when they are absolutely slammed with dine-in, carryout, and catering, the service is lightning-fast and genuinely friendly. The staff treats you like regular family the minute you walk through the door. ### The Food The portions here are massive, and the value for what you pay is incredible. If you leave this place hungry, that is completely on you. * **The Dough:** It's easily some of the best tasting, freshest dough in the area. Whether it's their garlic breadsticks or the crust on their pies, they nail the texture perfectly. * **The Calzones:** They are absolute monsters. The *Abruzzo All Meat Calzone* and the *Salvatori Supreme* are loaded to the brim, baked beautifully, and served with a killer pizza dipping sauce. * **Veneto White Pizza:** If you want to skip the traditional red sauce, this is a must-try. The combination of chicken, alfredo, mushrooms, and fresh basil on that signature crust is top-tier. * **The Pastas:** They offer half-plate and full-plate options. The full plates are massive enough to guarantee lunch for the next day. The lasagna and the rich meat sauces taste like they've been simmering all day long. ### The Verdict Salvatori's New Haven proves that some of the absolute best food comes out of the most unassuming places. It's affordable, hearty, authentic comfort food served by great people. Just make sure to get there a little early if you want a table, or call ahead for carryout--it's a local favorite for a reason!
