You walk in to see a counter with seating for four people, high back, swivel chairs. There's a diner menu letter board up on the wall, yellow with age, announcing the flavors of milkshakes and ice cream. It's from the 60s and probably hasn't changed since they put it up 65 years ago. There's a whiteboard on the back wall with the special for the day written out. Bacon egg and cheese omelette or a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on toast. Five dollars. The kind of place with a few locals sitting at a booth having their morning coffee, one of the waitresses offering Jim the last donut because they know he will want it. He accepts it. This is, in my mind, a classic American small town diner. The kind of place I grew up, eating in my hometown of 500 people. It's not high cuisine, there's nothing fancy about the food although I did come across a few things I had never seen before on the menu. Fried mush. Meat grits specials, like the scuttle butt and the chili Bob. An age old, but perfected recipe of eggs, meat, cheese, and a starch either potatoes ( homefries) or toast. The coffee is weak and not much flavor to it but, to be honest, it's exactly what you would expect in a place like this and there's something comforting about that. Honest, simple food made day and a day out, catering to the local crowd and a few roadway, travelers like myself who happen to come across it. There's a certain charm and depth to places like this that have been lived in day and day out by the same people for decades. For those like up rounded, there's the nostalgia and connection to the many other people having the same experience day after day in communities across the United States. Forgive me if I wax nostalgia can get a little sentimental here, but this morning's dining experience definitely elicited that for me. I hope you can find your own version of this sometime today or in the near future. read more

During Celina Lake Festival, my family and I went to The Fountain for breakfast. The Fountain has the old-timey feel of a classic diner. It is small, so you may have to wait to be seated, we waited almost 25 minutes. Still the staff hustle, so its not because of lack of effort. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. It was hot, fresh and well made. The portions are hearty, so you will leave full... maybe to bursting. The Fountain is a solid choice for breakfast in Celina. read more

Best home cooked food. Amazing breakfast with fast, friendly service. Just wish they were open later hours.

Dee and the girls that run the place are always amazing. The environment is great and the food is always great. If I could give a 10 star. I would and we constantly come back weekly. Best hole in the wall mom's breakfast spot in Celina. The owner always walks around and talks to everyone and so does the employees. It feels like the old America we had back in the days. read more

I'd give The Fountain 6 stars if I could! We were in Celina for a friends weekend so the guys could fish. If they weren't on the dock we were eating . The fountain was recommended by a friend and later we read in our Air B&B guest book others had recommended it too. There is plenty of free street parking. Wait outside if there is a line. They'll come out to get you when the next table opens. Inside, there is counter seating for 4 and 2-3 booths on the right side near the grill (One booth either needed repaired or was was closed for social distancing- my money is on the repair) The other side had much more seating. There were 2 four top tables and one 5 -6 top round table plus maybe 6 booths. The restaurant was older and a little worn down but clean. Service was friendly and effecient. Their menu was classic diner fare. Sausage & gravy, breakfast meats, REAL home fries, omelets, eggs any way you wanted. Excellent coffee. There may have been more but we were there for breakfast and I stopped reading at that point. BILLY BOB Get the Billy Bob! This breakfast dish is layers of scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage gravy, shredded cheddar cheese. Served with toast. We arrived Thursday. Enjoyed the Billy Bob breakfast Friday and returned Sunday before leaving town. Our friends joked that this was worth the drive from Circleville, OH to Celina for breakfast Monday before reporting to work in Columbus. It was that good. read more

Good food and fast service. My only complaint was I asked for a lemon for my water and they only have lemon juice packets. Super cheap prices. Glad we went. read more

Traditional dinner food. Came in for a quick lunch. Staff was very friendly and food was served fast! Good prices.

Service was quick. Food was decent but kind of overpriced compared to the quality of food you get at other breakfast restaurants. The restaurant itself had a nice hometown feel too it but needed some definite work done to it. read more

It is a great small-town diner. The meal is inexpensive but as good as it is cheap. I noticed at one point they were shaving ham off of a standing ham rather like prime rib. It was wonderful! The "country fried steak" was as good as I've had since Texas. The staff are very friendly. Not a fan of the coffee, but I have sky-high standards. The food more than makes up for it. The Billy-Bob is a must! read more

Small town excellence. Friendly environment with great tasting food. Prices are oddly low. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I were in town for the half marathon and decided we wanted some breakfast. I found the fountain on the map, and boy, am I glad I did!
