Anchors away! Loved this little pub. Cozy, chill, and oh so nautical. Anchors everywhere. Even the restroom doors had portholes (don't worry they were not see through). Impressive rotating craft beer selection. Friendly greeting and seating and a very professional, cheerful and knowledgeable waiter who knew how to patiently welcome first-timers, and not scared to make recommendations. At first glance I was not thrilled with the food choices - burgers and sandwiches so I'm thinking bar food, but man alive, it was top notch. I'm sticking with keto right now and they made a beautiful presentation of the breakfast burger minus bun for me. It was delicious and that runny egg was done to perfection. This place was recognized as a 'beef backer' by the county Cattlemen's Association so you know they are sourcing fresh local non-factory meat. Excellent flavor. My husband had the perfect Reuben sandwich on soft beautiful marble rye. I traded him one of my crispy balsamic glazed Brussels for a bite of sandwich. Corned beef was so juicy and delectable. For my 1400th review, I am going to write about my families experience at The Anchor. Ever since my family started to explore Celina's shops and restaurants about a year ago, The Anchor has been on my list of places to try. I am very glad we finally got around to it, as the entire experience was stupendous! We came one Friday night after work and parked next to The Anchor. We walked into this intimate and cozy pub and were immediately seated. The server gave us sometime to peruse the drink and food menus as we never had been to the pub. My brother got a beer, my mother and I both ordered some mixed drinks. My mother ordered the Tiki Torch, which is a mix of Bacardi Silver Rum, Malibu Coconut Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine. She absolutely loved it! I also tried some and found if quite refreshing. I ordered the Sailboat Sour, which is a blend of Four Roses Bourbon, simple syrup, lemon juice, blackberry brandy, sugar rim, garnished with a lemon slice. The drink was fantastic! I strongly recommend! We also ordered the cheese curds as an app, some of the best I have ever had! My brother and I both ordered burgers. He went with the cowboy burger, while I went with the bacon double. The burgers were perfection and the fries it came with were crunchy and hot. My mother ordered some chicken tenders with fries, which she thoroughly enjoyed! She couldn't finish the meal, as it was too much chicken for her. No worries, i had one bite and i couldn't stop until i finished what she left! Chicken was perfectly seasoned! The service was excellent throughout the time we were there! It is a wonderful little pub in Celina that I recommend everyone try! read more

Went here for dinner last night. Given the town is relatively small with limited good food options, I'll admit that our expectations were pretty low but the Anchor was a great experience. The service was quick and attentive. The food came out piping hot and had great flavor. We left all in agreement that the we will be back! read more

Highly highly recommend!!! The Anchor is phenomenal!! I have been on a kick recently with Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps and The Anchor's does not disappoint. The chicken has a perfect crunch to it. I love house made ranch with every ounce of my soul. Every bite of the CBRW is perfection, you get every flavor. Cheese Curds are my jam and these were also out of this world. Battered white cheddar curds sprinkled with a bit mor cheese? Unexpected and very welcome. My dad got the Mushroom Swiss and he said it was amazing. It came with a side (he got chips) and a pickle spear. We went right after they opened today. The staff were all really nice and helpful. Super duper fast as well. This wasn't our first choice place to grab dinner with two small kids in downtown Celina, but it was a strangely crowded night, and this is where we ended up. It was pretty good! A wider than usual array of unhealthy but delicious pub food -- queso with chorizo, fried pickles, fried cheese curds, etc., along with a slightly sad but tasty southwestern chicken salad and some kids meals -- and very cheerful service. What a pleasant experience we had on Saturday at lunch when we discovered the Anchor! I happened to be in Celina for the day on Saturday and after a long walk along the lake, we decided to find a spot for lunch. In a small town, like Celina, I was not expecting too much but was more than pleasantly surprised! The service was attentive (perhaps a little bit too much so) and the food was delicious! We ordered a Rueben which was the rare, perfect example of what a Rueben should be! The sweet potato tots where under seasoned but the the perfect ratio of a crisp outside to a soft inside. The decor was a bit bland and diner-like but the food more than made up for it! I will certainly come back again if in Celina. read more

We had 2 lunch specials. Mine was the chopped salad. I never saw such a small salad in my life for $10! It was in a small soup bowl that was just over 1/2 full. My friend had the burger lunch with chips that had way too much pepper on them. Honestly, we had eaten at Bob Evans a couple days before and my salad for $11 was 3 to4 times larger.
