Steaks were great...service excellent, banana's foster Devine!!! Great experience! atmosphere was very inviting. We'll be back! read more

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. I grew up just north of here (Van Wert) but moved away in the early '80s and was skeptical that we could get a decent steak nearby as the restaurants my family recommended were all closed on Mondays so Speakeasy got my vote. The steaks (3 NY Strip, a Filet, and a Delmonico, were all grilled to perfection by all accounts. The jalapeño coleslaw was incredible! Great meal for my last night in town with my dad. read more

The food, service, wine selection is amazing! I highly recommend this establishment. Above and beyond what usually experience here in a small town. read more

This was our second time here. We met clients for dinner while we were in town. We started off with drinks and appetizers. They have a great selection of beer, wine and spirits. Our table split the frog legs and the cheddar stuffed buttons. I had the Bison Burger, red beans and rice and a salad. Everything was fresh and very good. Service by Kaleigh was excellent. I like the dim light feel of the restaurant and they had good music on as well. read more

Love the vibe of this place! Service was friendly but the food was slow, not a bad trade for decent steak. I had the 8 oz NY strip and my mom had the 12 oz, both were ordered medium rare and brought out more medium-well done which was slightly disappointing (upon noting this we were given a bit of a discount). The elderflower gin & tonic was delicious and well balanced! Overall a great experience. read more

I have been wanting to try Speakeasy Steak & Ale House for a long time and thankfully I was finally able to go at the very end of May. My family went and we enjoyed every moment of our time here. The place has this old meets modern flair with an eclectic twist in its decor. Check out the pictures it feels artsy with a mix of old and new. I really digged the vibes. The service is excellent. Our waiter was affable. We had as our starter some wings with boom boom sauce, it was a nice twist to the old tried and true appetizer. My mother got some chicken breasts with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. She loved every bite! My brother was impressed by the Ghost of Jack Dempsey burger... he said the flavor and the heat was incredible! I loved the tomahawk ribeye! Almost overwhelmed by the depth of flavor... My brother and I just did not have room for dessert, my mom did. She went for the bread pudding... she said she wished she had room for a second of that... This place is gold! Absolute gold! read more

The food? Excellent. Service? Beyond good. We were there for a birthday celebration and they hit it out of the park. So why 4 instead of 5 stars? I forgot our leftovers. We were gone less than a minute but when I returned our bag had already been thrown out. Unfortunate. We will be back though. read more

This place is just fabulous! Our son lives in town going to school for last couple years and I am saddened I haven't been here before! We had an excellent server Chase that took care of us. The drinks were great I recommend the mules and any gin drink. Scallop appetizer and caprese were tasty. We especially liked the house warm bacon vinaigrette. Our steaks were excellent and our one son had the shrimp tacos which were amazing. The atmosphere is so cozy. We will definitely be back. read more

Had a wonderful time dining with my husband! We were sat at a high top in the back that was very private & we loved that. I ordered the 8oz sirloin with caprese stack & fries. Loved everything besides the fries. They may be good to some but they just weren't our style. My husband ordered the Chase's York Burger & said it may have been the best burger he's ever had. The server was attentive & kind. We will definitely be back! read more

We were at the side bar which I guess are the same. Pretty cool place. Got drinks and sat at a table and played cards. Decided to try their pumpkin maple dry rub wings, these were amazing! Fell off the bone amazing, the chief Kenny is great, we kept hearing all the tables around us tell him how good their food was its a limited menu but the food and drinks are so worth it. read more

First when you walk in it's the cutest little place. Super clean, playing music from the 20s, very intimate. The staff were so sweet and super nice! I had the Mary Pickford cocktail and it was great. My husband orders a bone in ribeye, asparagus, and a salad. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin, sweet potato, salad, and a lobster roll. The presentation was phenomenal. Food was wonderful. The seasoning on the steaks are to die for! We also got the button appetizer too, it was yummy! Our first time here, we were celebrating my husband's birthday and we can't wait to come back! read more

Amazing food and menu. A great place if you like ribeye steaks and burgers. Service was fast and friendly!

Food is good. Service is solid. Serving sizes are fantastic. It's not a huge place, but it's a nice one. Absolutely amazing atmosphere. The waiters are in period clothes. I was surprised by the music because it's some of the rock songs that I grew up converted to 1920s music. I don't know how they did it, or where they found it but whoever did it did a decent job there. It adds an interesting flavor to the ambience. When I saw the name I initially thought it was related to speakeasy ramen in Springfield (also fantastic), however it seems to be unrelated. The butter for the bread is soft. It's not frozen, or cheap. It's like they thought about what would make a good experience, and they did it. My daughter says she really enjoyed her steak kebab. This bread, she says, she cannot taste the bag on it, and she thinks it is made here. My daughter can taste the plastic that many things are wrapped in so not having that taste is a good thing. If I lived in this area then I would consider taking my sweetie here for a fun lunch or dinner date. It's a nice little spot. read more

Ambience is really interesting, in a good way! The server was fantastic. Dined on a Sunday evening and they were out of way too many items for a restaurant. Wife ordered a filet, medium rare, came out well done. I had the bison burger, great flavor, but was also overdone, making it sort of dry. They remade the filet, and it was perfect the second time. Overall, it was just sort of a "meh" experience. But like any other place, sometimes you're just "off". We will give them another try in the future, and hopefully they will be on point. read more

My favorite spot in Celina! Steaks are amazing, I recommend the Delmonico Ribeye, that's my go to.. They always have a unique brew on tap and the bourbon selection is the best in the area! For dessert try the banana foster, it's out of this world! read more

This is a fine eating steak house in Mercer County. I am from Celina but currently live in Doylestown, PA. I travel for work and eat at many steak houses while traveling. As many of you know I am on a low carb diet so I like to eat at steak houses. Today, I ordered a 12 oz. NY strip rare. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted exactly like I liked it. There really is not too much to say beyond that. It was brown and hot on the outside and red on the inside. It had a very good sear. The wine list was a little limited but you would expect that in Mercer County. However the wine that was available was reasonably priced and the bottle that we drank (a California blend) was very good. The staff was friendly, and we talked to them about the local restaurant scene. It was a little icy outside which made it so we had the place to ourself. The decor was very reminiscent of the former coffee shop. That being said it was quiet and the music was conducive for good conversation. The bottom line is this is a high end steak house in Mercer County. This one gets 4 Siberian Husky paws up!! Highly recommended if you are in Celina. read more

The food was good. Everything else needed work. We waited 30 minutes next door at the little martini bar. The Old Fashion was terrible, the Margarita was great. Once our table was ready we waited nearly 15 minutes to get service. We were promised bread....no bread. Appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops were good. When we ordered dinner they were out of kabobs and corn. My steak was cooked perfectly and my wife enjoyed her scallop dinner. The food was good everything else needs lots of work. read more

Atmosphere is wonderful, taking you back in time. The food is delicious. The steaks are so so good and my favorite item on the menu. Service is slow. Kitchen is slow. This doesn't stop us from enjoying dinner at Speakeasy. We have eaten here multiple times and plan to go again. read more

Had a fantastic strip steak here. Perfectly cooked medium rare. Baked potato as a side. Dinner salad that was great. The right balance of light and dark worked the interior of the restaurant. The wait staff from beginning to end was fantastic. The beer list was extensive and had many different options, bottles, cans, and especially pours of various size that let you explore. I wish this place was in my home town. Recommend wholeheartedly. read more

We had a decent meal here. Cozy atmosphere and pretty good experience overall. My son ordered the sirloin, my husband the bison burger, and I had the York burger. The food was, I feel, a step above typical bar food, but not necessarily amazing. Everything was served hot and no real complaints, though. It was a busy evening, so, understandably, the service was a bit slow. My son ordered a couple of drinks from the bar (was his birthday) no other beverages, appetizers, or desserts. The check was $85.80 before tip. read more

This place is fantastic. Huge drink selection, delicious food, attentive staff, what more could you ask for?

Once again a wonderful meal at Speak Easy. Blackened salmon was delicious, better than another restaurant in a neighboring town we frequent. The jalapeño coleslaw is minus the mayo (thankfully) with a mild vinaigrette. The bartender, David, made me a martini from a cucumber-mint vodka, and it was beyond delicious. It's my new favorite drink. Last time I had a Mango martini made from mango-flavored vodka. David's the best! The ambiance here is beyond reproach. We love it here. read more

Great food, great service with a smile, and the Speakeasy ambiance you expect ! Full bar. Amazing salads. Beautiful dessert options.

Drove from Fort Wayne, we had frog legs and bacon wrapped scallops - they were both outstanding! Craft cocktails were top notch. Liquor selection is impressive, service was impeccable. The ambiance perfectly matches the name. We will be back! read more

A surprise find. Food was excellent. Service was a tad slow but nothing unusual during a busy time.

My steaks were tough. I have the New York strip and the sirloin and a ribeye. but the service was pretty good. I enjoyed the salad.

Had a very nice meal there on a Friday evening. Service was superior and food was great.

Atmosphere is great for a speakeasy. But the service is slow. And food not great. The food came out cold and took forever. Ordered a steak medium well but got medium rare. It took over an hour to get our food. I probably won't risk it again. The price is a little high for the service that you get. Maybe go there just for drinks. read more

Was ok place, one can tell it's opened recently. Wait staff and manger friendly took time to check on us a couple of times. Food was alright nothing amazing. We had wings, shrimp tacos, t-bone steak, and Tyme Rosemary chicken. Requested celery with the wings it never came, steak pretty cooked to par except by the bone it was raw, and one drink took forever to come. So not to bad for the prices and the food was ok. They did have a pretty good selection of drinks and from the prices from what I saw thought it was pretty reasonable. read more
